Claims (5)

  1. Metal fitting for a corner cupboard, in particular a kitchen corner cupboard, having a carousel containing one or more shelves, with a pivotably mounted rotating column, and a two-leaf door joined to the latter via a metal linkage, with the leaves of the door executing on opening and closing a folding in and out movement in mirror-image relative to the line bisecting the door corner, with superimposed inwards and outwards movement, and held in the closed position by a spring mechanism, characterized in that between two linkage members (26,28) executing a relative movement towards one another during movement of the door is mounted a unidirectional movement brake member (40) with its braking force directed against the closing movement, in the form of a damping cylinder pivotably attached at both ends, with a brake rod (42) protruding axially at one end of the cylinder.
  2. Metal fitting according to claim 1, characterized in that the damping cylinder (40) is located on the side of the bisecting line (II-II) opposite the spring mechanism (37).
  3. Metal fitting according to claim 2, with a helical spring fastened to each end of a linkage member as spring mechanism, characterized in that the damping cylinder is fastened to points corresponding to the mounting points for the helical springs.
  4. Metal fitting according to claims 2 or 3, characterized in that pivoted at each of two swivelling members (23 and 24) of the linkage, each to be secured rigidly to one of the door leaves (8 and 9 respectively), is the outer end of a scissors-type lever (26 and 28), with the two scissors-type levers crossing at the bisecting line, being pivotably mounted on one axis (30) moving along the bisecting line during movement of the door, and extending beyond the crossing point (29), so that they form two-arm levers, and that the damping cylinder (40) is located between the inner end of one scissors-type lever (26) and the swivelling member at which the other scissors-type lever is pivoted, or more expediently the other scissors-type lever (28) in the area facing the swivelling member (24).
  5. Metal fitting according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the damping cylinder (40) is located between two linkage members (26,28) which are to move towards one another on closing of the door.
