- Knitting machine according to claim 1, characterised in that at least two, preferably three, catches (36) engaging a notch (34) in the intermediate sinker (26) when the intermediate sinker (26) is in an appropriate position are formed on the bottom (14) of the needle slot (10) and/or on the underside (31) of the control sinker bed (30).
