- a chair of this type is identified as known in EP-A 0 237 825.
- the seat is over a horizontal pivot axis arranged in the front area can be pivoted and, in addition, when the rear seat part is inclined downward, the seat is guided obliquely downward in the area of the front axis of rotation.
- Pins 6 engage in hollow guides on the front edge of the seat.
- pivot levers are provided which extend with their one sections below the seat surface and extend over the rear edge of the seat and there have further sections bent upwards which support the backrest. As shown in FIG. 2 of this document, the part of the pivoting lever that extends under the seat has a rear section with respect to the seat surface, which has two further approaches in its front area.
- One section points obliquely backwards and is articulated at its end to the seat, while the other section is directed downward and is articulated at a bearing point connected by a spring.
- the pivot lever is rotatably attached to the bearing block.
- the formation of the pivot lever is relatively complicated due to the different sections under the seat and unfavorable in that the sections extending in different vertical directions oppose the pursuit of a flat height.
- the swivel bearing in the front seating area is designed to be complex.
- DE-GM 88 14 409 Another such chair is described in DE-GM 88 14 409. With this adjustment mechanism, this known chair achieves a relative movement between the backrest and the rear end of the seat without additional carrying levers, which articulate the front pivot axis of the seat with the bearing block, as are required for a seat according to DE-GM 88 06 835.
- the swivel levers are at this known chair preferably designed as armrests and armrests, since they are guided over the seat.
- the pivot axis of the seat on the bearing block is guided to be adjustable to a limited extent in elongated holes, and in that the sections extending under the seat form an obtuse angle of approximately 150 ° to 170 ° to the standing surface, the articulated connection of the seat at the transition point which is arranged at the sections and the rotatable support on the bearing block at the opposite free end region of the section.
- the swivel levers are arranged below the seat and only protrude over the seat in the area of the rear edge and support the backrest with these sections.
- the configuration is such that the sections of the pivot levers adjoining the pivot bearings between the seat and the pivot levers in the direction of the backrest have a length which is greater than the distance of the pivot bearings from the rear edge of the seat, so that the pivot levers change the inclination of the Do not interfere with the seat.
- the seat and backrest can be turned around the pivot bearing of the swivel lever on the pedestal.
- the seat executes a kind of opposite movement, which leads to the shortening of the distance between the backrest and the facing end of the seat. This eliminates the so-called "pull-out effect" when lowering the seat.
- one embodiment provides that the bearing block rises at an angle of approximately 20 ° to the pivot axis of the seat.
- the automatic adjustment of the seat and the backrest into a starting position is achieved according to one embodiment in that the pivot levers are connected to one another in the region of the sections carrying the backrest and in that a gas spring is supported in an articulated manner on the bearing block and a crossbeam connecting the sections to one another.
- the same setting of the starting position can also be achieved in that a torsion bar spring is accommodated in the pivot bearings between the pivot levers and the bearing block, or in that the pivot bearings are supported on the bearing block between the seat and the pivot levers by means of a compression spring.
- Fig. 1 the adjustment mechanism of the chair according to the invention is shown schematically in side view.
- the bearing block 10 attached to the upper end is shown.
- This bearing block 10 rises towards the front edge of the seat 14, of which only the seat support is shown, at an angle of approximately 20 °.
- the horizontal pivot axis 28 of the seat 14 is guided in slots downwards and adjustable in the direction of the backrest. In the initial position of the chair, the pivot axis is at the upper front end of the elongated holes 11. About a third of the depth of the seat 14 from the rear edge of the seat 14, the two pivot levers 17 are rotatably mounted on the underside of the seat 14.
- the two pivot levers 17 in the region of the pivot bearing 21 are firmly connected to one another by means of the cross member 25.
- the ends of the cross member 25 are bent downwards at right angles and are connected in an articulated manner to the bearing straps 16 of the seat 14, as indicated by the screws which are passed through a bore in the bearing straps 16 and are screwed to the bent ends of the cross member 25.
- the pivot levers 17 extend with the sections 18 in the direction of the front of the seat 14 and are rotatably connected to the bearing block 10 approximately below the center of the seat 14, as the pivot bearings 12 show.
- the pivot levers 17 extend in the direction of the rear of the seat 14 and run approximately horizontally in the starting position of the chair with the sections 19.
- the sections 19 extend beyond the rear edge of the seat 14 and merge into the sections 20 bent upward at approximately right angles.
- the backrest 22, of which only the backrest support is shown, is fixedly attached to these sections 20.
- the sections 18 and 19 of the pivot lever 17 enclose an angle ⁇ of approximately 150 ° to approximately 170 ° to the base of the chair.
- the sections 20 of the pivot levers 17 are firmly connected to one another via the cross member 27.
- the gas spring 24 is supported in an articulated manner at the rear end of the bearing block 10 and on the cross member 27, as the joints 13 and 23 show.
- the gas spring 24 pushes the pivot lever 17 counterclockwise around the pivot bearing 21 upward until the sections 19 abut the underside of the seat 14 and the chair assumes its starting position.
- the cross member 26 is attached, which is angled downwards at right angles with its ends.
- the elongated holes 11 are made in the angled ends.
- the tabs 15 of the seat 14 cover the ends of the cross member 26 on the outside thereof. Screws form the pivot axis, which are inserted from the inside of the ends of the cross member 26 into the elongated holes 11 and screwed into threaded holes in the tabs 15.
- Fig. 3 in addition to the initial position of the chair with the seat 14 and the backrest 22 and the lowered position of the seat 14 'and the backrest 22' inclined to the rear. It can be clearly seen that the distance between the facing ends of the seat 14 and backrest 22 changes when adjusting in the lowered position, as shown by the seat 14 'and the backrest 22'. This distance can be reduced from 62 mm, for example, to about 30 mm. The horizontal inclination of the seat 14 from about 2 ° can increase to about 6 °, the seat 14 always falling towards the backrest 22 or 22 '.
- the backrest 22 had an inclination of approximately 7 ° in the starting position, then this inclination has increased to approximately 18 ° in the lowered position, ie the inclination of the backrest 22 has increased disproportionately compared to the inclination of the seat 14.
- the horizontal pivot axis shifts 28 of the seat 14 in the elongated holes 11 to the lower, rear ends of the elongated holes 11 in the position 28 ', whereby a kind of counter movement of the seat 14 is carried out about the pivot bearing 21, which ultimately for the relative movement between the seat 14 and backrest 22 with responsible for.
- the pivot bearings 21 shift their position to 21 'and the pivot levers 17 are pivoted about the pivot bearing 12 until they assume their dashed position 17'.
- the gas spring 24 is compressed since the joint 13 remains in its position and the joint 23 is lowered into the position 23 '.
- the sections of the pivot lever 17 take the positions 18 ', 19' and 20 'in the lowered position.
- the gas spring 24 exerts a restoring force on the pivot lever 17, which returns the seat 14 and the backrest to the starting position.
- the restoring force can also be applied by means of torsion bar springs 29 which are introduced into the rotary bearings 12.
- the pivot axis 28 can also accommodate torsion bar springs of this type.
- the pivot bearing 21 can also be supported on the bearing block 10 by means of a compression spring 30, which exerts the restoring force on the pivot lever 17 and the seat 14.

Description
Chair, in particular work or office chair, with a seat which can be pivoted in the front region about a horizontal pivot axis and whose inclination can be changed and, depending on the change in inclination of the seat, the inclination of the backrest which can be changed disproportionately, in which the inclination of the seat increases with increasing inclination mutually facing ends of the seat and the backrest approach each other, the seat being adjustable with its pivot axis in backward sloping guides towards the backrest and in which the seat extends below it and rotatably mounted on the pedestal of the chair frame of pivot levers from the rear End of the seat is articulated away, which extend beyond the rear edge of the seat and go into approximately right-angled sections to which the backrest is attached.
A chair of this type is identified as known in EP-A 0 237 825. In this known chair, the seat is over a horizontal pivot axis arranged in the front area can be pivoted and, in addition, when the rear seat part is inclined downward, the seat is guided obliquely downward in the area of the front axis of rotation. Pins 6 engage in hollow guides on the front edge of the seat. Furthermore, pivot levers are provided which extend with their one sections below the seat surface and extend over the rear edge of the seat and there have further sections bent upwards which support the backrest. As shown in FIG. 2 of this document, the part of the pivoting lever that extends under the seat has a rear section with respect to the seat surface, which has two further approaches in its front area. One section points obliquely backwards and is articulated at its end to the seat, while the other section is directed downward and is articulated at a bearing point connected by a spring. At the attachment point of the sections, the pivot lever is rotatably attached to the bearing block. The formation of the pivot lever is relatively complicated due to the different sections under the seat and unfavorable in that the sections extending in different vertical directions oppose the pursuit of a flat height. In addition, the swivel bearing in the front seating area is designed to be complex.
Another such chair is described in DE-GM 88 14 409. With this adjustment mechanism, this known chair achieves a relative movement between the backrest and the rear end of the seat without additional carrying levers, which articulate the front pivot axis of the seat with the bearing block, as are required for a seat according to DE-GM 88 06 835. The swivel levers are at this known chair preferably designed as armrests and armrests, since they are guided over the seat.
It is an object of the invention to develop a chair of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the so-called shirt pull-out effect is better eliminated.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the pivot axis of the seat on the bearing block is guided to be adjustable to a limited extent in elongated holes, and in that the sections extending under the seat form an obtuse angle of approximately 150 ° to 170 ° to the standing surface, the articulated connection of the seat at the transition point which is arranged at the sections and the rotatable support on the bearing block at the opposite free end region of the section.
The swivel levers are arranged below the seat and only protrude over the seat in the area of the rear edge and support the backrest with these sections. The configuration is such that the sections of the pivot levers adjoining the pivot bearings between the seat and the pivot levers in the direction of the backrest have a length which is greater than the distance of the pivot bearings from the rear edge of the seat, so that the pivot levers change the inclination of the Do not interfere with the seat.
The seat and backrest can be turned around the pivot bearing of the swivel lever on the pedestal. In connection with the adjustable pivot bearing of the seat on the bracket, it is achieved that the seat executes a kind of opposite movement, which leads to the shortening of the distance between the backrest and the facing end of the seat. This eliminates the so-called "pull-out effect" when lowering the seat.
In order to obtain sufficient change in inclination for the seat, one embodiment provides that the bearing block rises at an angle of approximately 20 ° to the pivot axis of the seat.
The automatic adjustment of the seat and the backrest into a starting position is achieved according to one embodiment in that the pivot levers are connected to one another in the region of the sections carrying the backrest and in that a gas spring is supported in an articulated manner on the bearing block and a crossbeam connecting the sections to one another.
The same setting of the starting position can also be achieved in that a torsion bar spring is accommodated in the pivot bearings between the pivot levers and the bearing block, or in that the pivot bearings are supported on the bearing block between the seat and the pivot levers by means of a compression spring.

In Fig. 1, the adjustment mechanism of the chair according to the invention is shown schematically in side view.
Of the chair frame, only the
As shown in FIG. 2, the two pivot levers 17 in the region of the pivot bearing 21, the two
As FIG. 2 shows, the
In Fig. 3, in addition to the initial position of the chair with the
The
