Description

The invention relates to a material web made of blanks joined together by residual webs on free edges for the production of hinged boxes (hinge-lid packs), the blanks consisting of a pack blank and a collar blank that is integrally connected to it and has collar side flaps consist.

In practice, hinged boxes (hinge-lid packs) made from thin cardboard are predominantly made from individual, factory-made blanks. In EP-A-291 692 a proposal is explained in which the blanks consisting of thin cardboard start at the longitudinal edges separable, e.g. B. tearable, are connected to each other. For this purpose, selected sections of the free edges of lateral cut parts are connected to one another via residual connections or residual webs. The remaining webs ensure that the blanks are held together within the material web. The blanks can therefore be stored, transported and used at the processing point as a continuous material web, in particular as a wound bobbin. Within the packaging machine, individual blanks are produced by separating them from the material web and processed in the usual way.

The remaining webs for connecting the blanks to one another are arranged in the aforementioned known proposal at locations which are arranged inside or hidden in the finished pack (hinged box). Small residues of the severed webs remain invisible. Specifically, these residual webs are arranged in the area of inner side tabs as well as inner lid side tabs of the pack.

The invention is concerned with the transfer of the concept outlined above of connecting blanks for hinged boxes to continuous material webs to one another in a special embodiment of a hinged box, namely with a collar blank that is integrally connected to the blank or package blank. Folding boxes (hinge-lid packs) are usually equipped with a collar which is arranged in a box part of the folding box, protrudes therefrom and is covered by the lid in the closed position of the folding box. According to EP-A-6872, such a collapsible box with a collar can be produced from a one-piece blank. In this version, a collar cut is connected to a package cut via connecting webs. The connecting webs, which can also extend across the full width of a front wall of the hinged box, are folded in a Z-shape in order to fit the collar in the correct packaging Bring relative position. In the embodiment of EP-A-6872, the collar cut and the pack cut are connected by residual connections to form a one-piece cut.

The invention has for its object to form blanks for hinged boxes with a one-piece collar cut so that they form a coherent, continuous material web and can be separated from this as a unit.

To achieve this object, the material web according to the invention is characterized in that adjacent blanks (also) in the region of the collar blank are connected to one another by at least one remaining web on the free, facing edges of collar side flaps.

The invention is based on the knowledge that in the case of complex blanks, such as blanks for the production of folding boxes in which the collar blank is integrally connected to the pack blank, the remaining webs are distributed and arranged as holding members between adjacent blanks within the material web must be that all lateral tabs of the blanks are adequately held within the material web. The material web must ensure a sufficiently durable connection for the blanks with one another in order to ensure transport, storage and processing within the packaging machine. On the other hand, it should be possible by simple means to separate the individual blanks from the material web without destroying them.

According to a further feature of the invention, a single residual web connecting the collar side tabs of adjacent blanks is arranged at a distance from the free, lateral edge of the material web, namely adjacent to outer side tabs of the blank. This ensures an optimal connection of the blanks within the material web and also that due to their Size unstable collar side flaps fixed on the edge of the material web.

Further features of the invention relate to the arrangement and meaningful distribution of residual webs for connecting the blanks within the material web.

  • Fig. 1 eine geöffnete Klappschachtel in perspektivischer Darstellung,
An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawings. It shows:
  • 1 is an opened hinged box in perspective,
  • FIG. 2 shows a section of a material web with blanks for the production of packaging according to FIG. 1.

In Fig. 1, a folding box (hinge-lid pack) is shown in perspective, which is primarily intended to hold za cigarettes. In the basic structure, the hinged box consists of a box part 10, a lid 11 and a collar 12. The lid 11 is connected to the box part 10 in a foldable manner via a hinge line 13. The collar 12 is arranged inside the box part 10 such that the predominant area of the collar 12 protrudes from the box part 10. When the hinged box is closed, the protruding part of the collar 12 is enclosed by the cover 11.

Die Seitenwandlappen 20, 21 sind durch Klebung miteinander verbunden.1 consists of surface areas for the formation of a front wall 15, a rear wall 16 and a bottom wall 17. Side walls 18 and 19 consist of outer side wall tabs 20 which are connected to the front wall 15 on both long sides, and from inner side wall tabs 21, which are arranged in a corresponding manner on the rear wall 16. The side wall tabs 20, 21 are dimensioned in the present embodiment in width so that they are cover to form the side walls 18, 19 in almost full width. The side wall tabs 20, 21 are connected to one another by adhesive bonding.

In the extension of the side wall flaps 20, 21 there are bottom corner flaps 22 which are connected to the lower edges of the inner side wall flaps 21 and which are folded against the inside of the bottom wall 17 in the finished folding box.

The above cut parts form the box part 10. The lid 11 consists of the lid rear wall 23, the lid front wall 24 and the lid top wall 25. Lid side walls 26 and 27 are formed by overlapping and joined together by adhesive outer lid side tabs 28, which are attached to the lid front wall 24, and by inner lid side tabs 29 formed. The latter are attached to the side of the lid rear wall. On the inner cover side tabs 29 there are - analogous to the bottom corner tabs - cover corner tabs 30 which are folded against the inside of the cover 11 or the cover top wall 25. At the free edge of the front cover wall there is an inner tab 31 which is folded for reinforcement against the inside of the front cover wall 24.

A collar blank 32 is connected in one piece to the blank thus formed. This consists of the collar front wall 33 and collar side walls 34. In the extended position, the collar blank 32 directly adjoins the blank 14, namely in continuation of the front wall 15 and the side wall tabs 20. The entire blank 14 accordingly has an approximately rectangular shape Shape - with the exception of the inner tab 31 on one side and a central recess 35 on the other side, namely in the region of the collar blank 32.

The collar blank 32 is only in the present embodiment via strip-shaped Restver Bindings 36 on the sides of the collar front wall 33 connected to the upper edge of the front wall 15. The remaining connections 36 are folded in a Z-shape in order to bring the collar blank 32 or the collar 12 formed therefrom into the relative position appropriate for the pack.

The blanks 14 consisting of thin cardboard are connected to one another according to FIG. 2 to form a material web 37. The blanks 14 are oriented transversely with their longitudinal extent within the material web. Free edges of the blanks 14 are detachable or tearable to create a continuous material web 37, namely by means of residual webs 38, 39, 40. These are arranged in a special way, namely distributed over the length of the blank 14 with optimal selection of the to each other connecting cut parts.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the adjacent inner side wall tabs 21 are connected to one another by residual webs 38, specifically by a total of five such residual webs 38. These are arranged at equal distances from one another, a residual web 38 being arranged at the ends of the elongated side wall tabs 21. When the remaining webs 38 are severed, projections remaining on the edges of the side wall tabs 21 cannot be seen in the finished hinged box, since they lie inside the same.

This is arranged at a distance from the side wall tab 21, namely at a short distance from the upper boundary of the cover side tab 29.

Finally, the collar blanks 32 of adjacent blanks 14 are connected to one another in the region of the collar side walls 34. Here too, only a residual web 40 is provided. This is at a clear distance from the free, The upper edge of the collar side wall 34 is arranged, namely adjacent to the outer side wall tab 20. By the relative displacement of the collar blank 32 relative to the box part 10, a projection which arises as a result of severing the remaining web 40 into the area of the side wall tab 20 becomes accordingly the side walls 18, 19 covered.

The connection of the blanks 14 to one another in the above manner has proven to be optimal for sufficient cohesion of the material web 37 before the individual blanks 14 are formed. On the other hand, the blanks 14 can be severed efficiently without destroying them. The remaining webs 38, 39, 40 preferably have a width of 0.5 mm.
