Abstract

Eine automatische Identifizierung eines Typenrades nach dem Ein­ setzen in einen Drucker oder in eine Schreibmaschine ermöglicht eine automatische Anpassung bestimmter Parameter wie Abdruck­ stärke, Schriftteilung, Transportschritt des Farbbandes usw. ohne daß die Bedienungsperson beim Wechseln des Typenrades gesonderte Einstellungen vornehmen muß. Zu diesem Zweck ist es bekannt, die Typenradkassette oder das Typenrad selbst mit Identifizierungs­ codes zu versehen, die durch gesonderte Abtastvorrichtung abge­ tastet werden. Eine derartig ausgebildete Erkennungseinrichtung ist sehr aufwendig und teuer. Die Erfindung ermöglicht eine ein­ fachere Identifizierung des Typenrades (1) dadurch, daß der Winkel zwischen dem Stoppelement und dem Kupplungselement der Stift-Schlitz-Verbindung an der Nabe (2) des Typenrades (1) je nach dem auf den Speichen vorhandenen Schrifttypensatz unter­ schiedlich groß ausgebildet wird, daß durch das Blockieren des Antriebsmotors (10) während des Suchlaufs Steuersignale in der Steuerschaltung (35) ausgelöst werden, durch die die Steuerschal­ tung (35) dann die Größe des Winkels unter Auszählung der Schrit­ te bis zur Nullstellung des Typenrades (1) berechnet und daraus Kenndaten ermittelt, die als Digitalsignale in einem Digital­ speicher (36) abgelegt werden. Der Ablauf der Druckwerksfunk­ tionen, wie die Bewegung des Typenträgerwagens (42) in Zeilen­ richtung, Steuerung der Typenandruckstärke wird durch die Steuer­ schaltung (35) unter Berücksichtigung der im Digitalspeicher (36) abgelegten Kenndaten gesteuert.
