Die Erfindung betrifft einen Schlüsselkasten nach dem Oberbegriff des unabhängigen Patentanspruchs 1. Schlüssel­kästen dieser Art sind allgemein bekannt. Bei Verwendung eines solchen Schlüsselkastens muss an jedem Schlüssel ein Schlüsselanhänger mit einer Nummer angebracht und an Hakenleisten angehängt werden. Die Hakenleisten sind im Kasten befestigt und ebenfalls entsprechend den Schlüsseln numeriert. Um möglichst viele Schlüssel unterbringen zu können, sind die Hakenleisten oft auch an der Innenseite einer Flügeltür angebracht. Diese Schlüsselkästen bedingen eine aufwendige Handhabung der Schlüssel, von denen bei grossen Anlagen ohne weiteres mehrere hundert vorhanden sind. Bisher mussten die Schlüssel vom Hersteller in Beutel oder Säckchen abgefüllt und diese mit Nummern versehen werden. Diese Beutel gingen zum Beschlägehändler und von diesem zum Bauführer, der die Schlüssel schliesslich dem Bauherrn übergab. Dieser musste nun an den Schlüsseln die Schlüsselanhänger anbringen, die Hakenleisten entsprechend numerieren und die Schlüssel geordnet in den Schlüssel­kasten hängen, wobei von jedem Schlüssel in der Regel drei Ausführungen vorhanden sind. Wird ein Schlüssel benötigt, so lässt sich anhand der Tafeln 7 sofort erkennen, welcher Einschubteil 8 aus dem Schlüsselkasten 9 herausgezogen wer­den muss.
