- the float (3) When the water level has reached the upper edge of the collecting tank, the float (3) has reached its highest possible position and pushed the rod (4) into the solution tank (2) as far as the rod guide supports (6) allow.
- the notch (5) on the rod is in the solution container and takes up product there.
- the closed device 11 is filled with active substance in the toilet bowl and takes the rest shown schematically in Fig. 5, in which the vertically displaceable rod 12 with its cavities 13 is outside the active substance container, which is due to the force of the spring 14 is ensured.
- rinsing water will flow in the direction of arrow 15 onto the wing 16, which is rotatably connected to the device at the joint 17 and not quite rigidly connected to the rod 12 at point 18.
- the wing is so wide that only a small part of the rinsing water can flow past. To increase the effect, an inwardly curved shape of the wing is conceivable.
- the water pressure pushes the wing 16 down, which leads to an upward movement of the bar 12 through the joint 17 or the connection point 18 on the rod 12.
- the rod is pressed against the force of the spring 14 until its cavities 13 are inside the active substance container and take up the active substance there.
- the product of the drug container collected in the cavities 13 during the upper position can now run down the rod and drip into the toilet bowl because the cavities are again outside the drug container.
- the amount of active ingredient that had collected in the cavities is then metered into the toilet bowl.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for the automatic dispensing of an active substance liquid in a defined amount into the toilet bowl after each flush. From the German laid-open specification 21 00 79 5, a device is already known which releases a quantity of an active ingredient solution into the toilet bowl after each flushing process, a tube having to be introduced into the flushing water line in order to use part of the flushing water flow to actuate closing elements, which Seal the connection openings between an active substance container and a dosing chamber on the one hand and the dosing chamber and connecting tube on the other. The active ingredient metering carried out in this way has the following major disadvantages: The connecting tube can only be installed by a specialist in the flushing water line. The device is complex and, due to the relatively high cost of materials, especially in the case of the movable partition between the pressure and metering chambers, is also prone to wear.
The invention has for its object to develop a device of the type mentioned so that it is easy to use and economical to manufacture and has a low susceptibility to wear.
This object is achieved by the features given in the characterizing part of
Particular configurations of the device according to the invention are described in
The invention is explained in more detail by exemplary embodiments shown schematically in the drawing.
Figures 1 and 2 show a longitudinal section through the device.
Figure 3 shows a side view and Figure 4 shows a plan view.
The device itself consists of a water tank that is slightly open at the top and bottom (7) and a self-contained solution tank (2), from which a rod (4) with notches (5) protrudes, which in turn is rigid with a float (3) connected is. The supports (6) should ensure a smooth up and down of the rod (4). The solution container is firmly connected to the collection container by means of support supports. (8)
Figure 1 shows the device in the rest position, as it hangs in the toilet bowl. If you now rinse, the water collection container fills with water. Although water can run out through the opening (7), the container is still filled quickly because more comes in at the top than runs out at the bottom.
When the water level has reached the level of the balls of the float (3), the float is pushed upwards by the buoyancy as it rises further and at the same time a part of the rod (4) is pressed into the solution container. When the water level has reached the upper edge of the collecting tank, the float (3) has reached its highest possible position and pushed the rod (4) into the solution tank (2) as far as the rod guide supports (6) allow. The notch (5) on the rod is in the solution container and takes up product there.
Dieser Zustand ist in Figur 2 widergegeben. This state is shown in Figure 2.
If the water reservoir runs empty after flushing, the float sinks and with it the rod. If the water level is just below the zero position of the float balls (3) (as shown in Figure 1), the amount of product that has collected in the notch is dissolved in the remaining amount of water and flows with the water into the toilet bowl and can fulfill its task (s) there until the next flush.
In der Zeichnung zeigen
- Fig. 5 den Ruhezustand
- Fig. 6 den Zustand während der Spülung
- Fig. 5 shows the idle state
- Fig. 6 shows the state during the rinse
The closed
If the rinsing process now begins, rinsing water will flow in the direction of
When the rinsing process is finished, the
The product of the drug container collected in the
- 7 and 8 show the built-in device according to the invention in the form of a technical drawing, in which the same reference numerals are used as in the first embodiment and from which further details are apparent to those skilled in the art.
