Definitions
- the invention relates to a contact system for current-limiting circuit breakers according to the preamble of claim 1.
- one switching arm is connected via a switching shaft to the switch lock of the circuit breaker and is used for operational switching. At the same time, this switching arm can also open dynamically when there is a current load in the short-circuit area before the switching takes place via the switching lock.
- the second movable switching arm which can also be formed with two or more parallel switching arms, is pivotally mounted on the current path and is held in the switched-on position by one or more compression springs. It is connected to the current path with a strand and, in the event of a short circuit, pivots against the direction of movement of the first switching arm, so that the opening distance and also the opening speed increase when the switching contacts are lifted off due to an additional acceleration.
- the arc between the contact pieces of the switching arms is additionally lengthened and extinguished more quickly, but the wire for the current supply, especially on the lower switching arm, forms a weak point in that the welding attachment of the wire on low-switching due to the sudden deflections in the event of a short circuit, it is mechanically very stressed and can therefore easily lead to faults.
- the invention has for its object to provide a contact system according to the preamble of claim 1, in which the second movable switching arm on the current path is designed and arranged so that the contact system in the closed state on the one hand has such a low contact contact resistance that on a flexible power supply in the form of a strand or the like between the pivotable switching arm and the current path can be dispensed with, and that, on the other hand, in the event of a short circuit, the arc is extended even more and is extinguished even more quickly.
- a particularly advantageous pivot bearing of the movable switching arm results from the feature of claim 2 as well as from the features of claims 3 and 4, which contribute significantly to the free mobility of the switching arm in the event of a short circuit.
- the feature of claim 5 also ensures that both in the closed normal state and when triggered in the event of a short circuit, a perfect current transfer between the current path and the movable switching arm, either directly between the pivot bearing recesses for the pivot pin of the switching arm on the underside of the fork legs or else when triggered in the event of a short circuit via the two leaf springs, which extend from a fastening point on the underside of the current path on the fork legs and engage under the pivot pins of the movable switching arm with bearing brackets at their free ends, which lie opposite the bearing recesses on the fork legs.
- the current transfer from the current path to the movable switching arm can be further improved in that the switching arm has stop lugs which are offset in parallel with respect to the pivots towards the free end of the current path and which rest in the switched-on position of the switching arm on the top of the current path and the spring-loaded switching arm Secure together with the pivot in its switch-on position on the current path.
- a particularly good contact is achieved in that the stop lugs on the movable switching arm in relation to the parallel pivot to the free end of the current path are set back by a distance that only makes up part of the distance between the pivot pin and the front spring support, so that the switching arm in the switched-on position under the pressure of the helical compression spring with both the pivot pin and the two stop lugs in the manner of a two-armed rocker switch with one increased contact pressure on opposite sides of the current path.
- the second movable switching arm 3 is pivotally mounted in the switch housing 5 on the current path 6 and held by a compression spring 7 in the switched-on position in FIG. 1, that in the event of a short circuit it pivots against the direction of movement of the first switching arm 2, so that the opening distance and the Increase opening speed when lifting switch contacts 2a, 3a due to additional acceleration of the movable lower switching arm 3.
- the second movable switching arm 3 is held with two pivot pins 8 directed coaxially to the side in open, approximately semi-cylindrical bearing recesses 9 in a pivotable, resilient contact on the underside 10 of the current path 6.
- the current path 6 is fork-shaped in the region of the movable switching arm with a U-shaped central recess 11, the movable switching arm 3 engaging under the two fork legs 12, 13 of the current path 6 with its two pivot pins 8 directed to the side and by means of two parallel leaf springs 14, 15 the current path 6 is held in contact in the two bearing recesses 9 on the underside of the fork legs 12, 13.
- the free ends 16, 17 of the fork legs 12, 13 of the current path 6 are in relation to an attachment plane 18 for the leaf springs 14, 15 on the underside of the current path 6 offset in parallel upwards that they then extend from the bottom 19 of the switch housing 5.
- the bearing recesses 9 for the pivots 8 of the movable switching arm 3 are arranged in the region of the kink between the rising section 12a, 13a and the free ends 16, 17 of the fork legs 12, 13.
- the two leaf springs 14, 15, which support the movable switching arm 3 on the two pivots 8, extend from the mounting plane 18 on the underside of the current path 6 along the fork legs 12, 13 and have bearing brackets 14a, 15a for the pivots at their free ends 8 of the movable switching arm 3, which lie opposite the bearing recesses 9 on the fork legs 12, 13.
- the second movable switching arm 3 also has two parallel to the pivot 8 stop lugs 20, which are offset from the free end of the current path 6 so that they rest in the switched-on position of the switching arm 3 of Fig. 1 on the top of the current path 6 and the spring-loaded Secure switching arm 3 together with the pivot pin 8 in its switched-on position on the current path 6.
- the stop lugs 20 on the movable switching arm 3 are set back by a distance 21 from the parallel two pivots 8 to the free end of the current path 6, which is only part of the distance 22 between the pivots 8 and the front spring support 7, in the present case in an aspect ratio of the lever arms corresponding to the distances 21, 22 of about 1: 3, so that the switching arm 3 in the switched-on position of FIG. 1 under the action of the helical compression spring 7 with both the pivot pin 8 and with the two stop lugs 20 in the manner of a two-armed rocker switch with an increased contact pressure on opposite sides of the current path 6.
- the stop lugs 20 can have a wedge-shaped tapered or rounded cross-section towards the current path 6, so that they rest with their lower longitudinal sides on the upper side of the fork legs 12, 13 of the current path 6 in the form of a line or strip, and thus perfect contact points for the current transfer from the movable Form switching arm 3 on the current path 6.
- a stop 23 fixed to the housing is provided on the switch housing 5 below the pivot pins 8 of the movable switching arm 3.
- the movable switching arm 3 has a stop cap 20 and a part of the switching arm 3 up to its contact piece 3a covering insulating cap 24 (Fig. 4 to 8) made of plastic, which prevents the arc occurring in the event of a short circuit running along the movable lower switching arm 3 .
- the arc 25 can be supplied particularly favorably to the two switching arms 2, 3 opposite quenching plates, not shown in the drawing, if on the current path 6, as can be seen in FIGS. 1 to 3 in detail, following the U-shaped one Central recess 11 in the extension of the lower movable switching arm 3 at least one arc guide rib 26 is provided, which the movable switching arm 3 can touch in the event of a short circuit, so that the arc 25 jumps over and is additionally lengthened.
