Definitions
- the present invention relates to a valve according to the preamble of claim 1.
- valves are known and are carried by the container.
- the container has a lid.
- This lid stamped from sheet metal, is formed with a central projection which defines a coaxial opening.
- the valve has a valve body which is connected to the projection, a closure part which is arranged displaceably in the valve body and can be actuated from the front of the cover, a sealing element which is arranged between the valve body and the closure part, and a spring element which connects the closure part against the sealing element presses.
- the sealing member is made of elastomeric material or rubber and comes into contact with the fluid flowing through. As these materials are not resistant to all fluids, the valve can leak.
- a valve which consists of two parts, namely a tubular valve body with a valve seat and a closure part with a sealing section.
- the valve body has an elastic section and at the same time forms an actuating member.
- the closure part is held in the valve body above the elastic section, so that when the valve body is pressed in the axial direction, the closure part is advanced with respect to the valve body and the sealing section is lifted off the valve seat. If the valve body is released, it is pushed back through the elastic section and the sealing section is pulled to the valve seat.
- the valve body is firmly mounted in a groove which is formed on the neck of the container lid.
- valve body seals the container lid only to a limited extent, so that the storage of the containers is limited in time, that the restoring means for the closure part is arranged downstream of the valve seat in the flow direction, thereby causing the discharge of fluid, in particular polyurethane foam , can be hindered by solidified material in the valve housing, and that the valve can be opened by eccentric pressure, which requires special measures in the storage of the containers.
- the object on which the invention is based is to create a valve which manages without separate sealing members, seals the container in a gas-tight manner and is opened in a targeted manner when it is inserted into a spraying device.
- the closure part is essentially cylindrical and if the sealing section has at least one elastically deformable, disk-shaped section which projects essentially radially from the closure part and rests against the valve seat under deformation. Due to the deformation of the disk-shaped sealing sections that occurs when the valve is closed, a secure tightness can be ensured.
- the tightness can be further improved by using two sealing sections.
- the extension is essentially cylindrical and has at least one elastically deformable, disc-shaped section which projects essentially radially from the extension in order to seal the valve when it is inserted.
- the plastic part is molded onto an essentially circumferentially shaped second section of the container lid, and the U-shaped section has an edge section which is formed in one piece on the inner leg of the section and extends essentially parallel to the base of the section and inwards extends, this edge section being enclosed by the plastic part in order to seal the valve in a gas-tight manner.
- the valve comprises a valve body 1 which is integrally formed on the inside of a container lid 2, a closure part 3 which is arranged in the valve body 1, a holding part 4 which is fastened to the valve body 1 and a coil spring 5 which is arranged between the closing part and the holding part is used.
- the container lid 2 is a hollow cylinder which has a pre-flanged section 6 on one end for connection to a container edge and advantageously on the other end a substantially U-shaped second section 7 to which the valve body 1 is molded.
- the U-shaped section 7 has on its inner leg an edge section 23 which is formed in one piece with the section 7 and extends essentially parallel to the base of the section 7 inwards.
- the container lid 2 is a stamped part and has a central opening.
- the valve body 1 has a section 8 which protrudes from the inside of the container lid 2 and forms the inlet, and a projection 9 which extends through the opening in the direction of the outside of the container lid 2 and forms the outlet.
- the valve body 1 encloses the edge section 23, so that a gas-tight seal is achieved in a particularly advantageous manner.
- the valve body 1 also has a through hole 10, which extends from the outlet to a section 11 with the valve seat, the seat surface being designed as an inclined surface starting from the through hole.
- the closure member 3 has a cylindrical body with a flange 13 at one end, a sealing section 14 formed adjacent to the flange 13, and four grooves 15 extending from the sealing section 14 to the other end of the body.
- the grooves 15 are semicircular.
- the sealing section 14 is formed by two disk-shaped sections 16 which protrude radially from the body and an extension 17 which is directly adjacent to the flange 13.
- the holding part 4 is designed as a cap which can be placed on the extension 8.
- the cap is provided on the edge with a collar 18 and the neck 8 with a groove in which the collar engages.
- a number of holes 20 are provided in the bottom part 19 of the cap.
- a recess 21 is provided on the inside of the cap, in which the spring 5 is centered.
- the spring 5 is held on a shoulder 22 of the closure part 3.
- valve according to the invention has a second sealing section 24 which is formed on the extension 9 in the region of the outlet.
- the second sealing section is formed by four disk-shaped sections 25. These sections 25 protrude obliquely outwards from the neck 9 and are directed towards the occasion.
- the valve In the closed state, which is shown in the right partial section of the figure, the valve is essentially closed by the pressure prevailing in the container (not shown); only when empty Container, the valve is closed by the spring 5 for safety reasons. From this it can be deduced that the closing of the valve to be carried out by the spring 5 can also be effected by at least one elastic section which is provided on the shoulder.
- the closure part 3 in the valve body 1 is pressed toward the outlet by the pressure, so that the disk-shaped sections 16 come into sealing engagement with the valve seat, the front section 16 in each case being pressed against the seat surface 12 if, as in the present exemplary embodiment, two such sections lie side by side are trained.
- the deformation of the disc-shaped sections 16 is caused by the fact that the outside diameter of the sections is larger than the inside diameter of the section 11 forming the valve seat according to the invention in the valve body 1.
- valve seat Another possibility of designing the valve seat according to the invention results from the fact that the section adjoining the seat surface 12 is conical or cylindrical.
- the closure part 3 of the valve is displaced by a section of a spraying device or the like shown in dashed lines against the pressure in the container, so that material can flow out of the container.
- the second sealing section 24 is brought into sealing engagement with the section causing the opening of the valve in order to prevent fluid from escaping from the container into the lid 2. This also causes contamination by fluid that is difficult to remove, e.g. Prevents polyurethane foam.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a valve according to the preamble of
Such valves are known and are carried by the container. The container has a lid. This lid, stamped from sheet metal, is formed with a central projection which defines a coaxial opening.
The valve has a valve body which is connected to the projection, a closure part which is arranged displaceably in the valve body and can be actuated from the front of the cover, a sealing element which is arranged between the valve body and the closure part, and a spring element which connects the closure part against the sealing element presses. The sealing member is made of elastomeric material or rubber and comes into contact with the fluid flowing through. As these materials are not resistant to all fluids, the valve can leak.
From US-A-4 522 318 a valve is known which consists of two parts, namely a tubular valve body with a valve seat and a closure part with a sealing section. The valve body has an elastic section and at the same time forms an actuating member. The closure part is held in the valve body above the elastic section, so that when the valve body is pressed in the axial direction, the closure part is advanced with respect to the valve body and the sealing section is lifted off the valve seat. If the valve body is released, it is pushed back through the elastic section and the sealing section is pulled to the valve seat. The The valve body is firmly mounted in a groove which is formed on the neck of the container lid.
This valve has the disadvantage that the valve body seals the container lid only to a limited extent, so that the storage of the containers is limited in time, that the restoring means for the closure part is arranged downstream of the valve seat in the flow direction, thereby causing the discharge of fluid, in particular polyurethane foam , can be hindered by solidified material in the valve housing, and that the valve can be opened by eccentric pressure, which requires special measures in the storage of the containers.
The object on which the invention is based is to create a valve which manages without separate sealing members, seals the container in a gas-tight manner and is opened in a targeted manner when it is inserted into a spraying device.
According to the invention, this object is achieved with the characterizing features of
The advantages that can be achieved with the invention are essentially that containers with different fluids e.g. Propellant gas and polyurethane can be stored in any position without reducing the tightness, and that the valve has a minimum of individual parts and is inexpensive to manufacture.
It is particularly advantageous if the closure part is essentially cylindrical and if the sealing section has at least one elastically deformable, disk-shaped section which projects essentially radially from the closure part and rests against the valve seat under deformation. Due to the deformation of the disk-shaped sealing sections that occurs when the valve is closed, a secure tightness can be ensured.
The tightness can be further improved by using two sealing sections.
When using such valves with, for example, a spray device, it is advantageous if the extension is essentially cylindrical and has at least one elastically deformable, disc-shaped section which projects essentially radially from the extension in order to seal the valve when it is inserted.
With this additional seal, the escape of fluid outside the valve can be prevented.
In a preferred embodiment, the plastic part is molded onto an essentially circumferentially shaped second section of the container lid, and the U-shaped section has an edge section which is formed in one piece on the inner leg of the section and extends essentially parallel to the base of the section and inwards extends, this edge section being enclosed by the plastic part in order to seal the valve in a gas-tight manner.
With this measure, the tightness of a container provided with the valve according to the invention can be increased.
The invention is explained below with reference to the accompanying drawing, which shows partial sections through an exemplary embodiment of the valve according to the invention in the closed state (right partial section) and in the open state (left partial section).
The valve comprises a
As the figure shows, the
The
The
The sealing section 14 according to the invention is formed by two disk-
The
On the other hand, the
In addition to the sealing section 14 on the
The second sealing section is formed by four disk-
In the closed state, which is shown in the right partial section of the figure, the valve is essentially closed by the pressure prevailing in the container (not shown); only when empty Container, the valve is closed by the
Another possibility of designing the valve seat according to the invention results from the fact that the section adjoining the
Polyurethan-Schaum verhindert. In the open state, which is shown in the left-hand partial section of the figure, the
