Description

The invention relates to a packaging bag, consisting of a tube with an open end for filling, which has at least one removable foil tab with a wicket perforation in the region of its open end, wherein
  • the tube has outer flat sides and a base region and the flag is attached to one of the flat sides, is made of a web-shaped material and is closed by means of a transverse weld seam, and
  • the flag is made of essentially the same material as the tube, is attached very close to the open end of the bag and has a predetermined tear line, which is arranged near the wicket perforation, so that part of the flag after tearing off Wicket remains on the bag.

Such a packaging bag is known from GB-A 2 161 454, which consists of thermoplastic film webs which are connected on both sides and at the bottom by welds. Opposite reinforcement tabs are connected to the two film webs in the area of the upper opening. Each of the reinforcement tabs is provided with a handle recess together with the film webs. One of the packaging tabs is extended and equipped with a wicket perforation. A line of weakness is attached below the wicket perforation and finally with the upper edge of the film web and the reinforcement flap.

It is disadvantageous that the line of weakness coincides with the upper connecting area of the film web and the reinforcing tab. When the two parts are connected, in whatever form, this can lead to material reinforcement rather than weakening. If the packaging bag is torn from the wicket, uncontrolled material cuts and thus damage to the handle area or to the extended part of the reinforcement tab on the packaging bag may occur. In both cases, the appearance and functionality of the bag will be affected.

Also known from US-A-4,669,251 is a film bag which is used to be stacked on a wicket and to be able to be unfolded during filling. For this purpose, a wicket perforation and a corresponding cutout are punched into the paper or plastic film web at a repeat distance and at the same height before folding. The position of a cutout in relation to the adjacent wicket perforations lying at the same height is chosen such that the cutout in the film tube lies above the wicket perforation and exposes it. After filling the above-mentioned packaging bag, the wicket area and the protruding film tube are cut off by a cut-off weld cut. “Foil tube” can be understood to mean both an originally tubular extruded tube and a double web which is connected at the edge to form a tube.

A disadvantage of the known packaging bag is that a relatively large amount of packaging material is generated as waste. This can be used again in a recycling process; the losses are still considerable.

Accordingly, the task for a packaging bag according to the invention is to avoid the losses that occur when removing the film surface with the wicket perforation, to avoid them entirely.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by
  • that the hose is folded inwards by an inner fold,
  • that the hose is closed at its head end
  • that the flag is attached by a weld in the bottom area and
  • that the part of the flag that remains on the bag after tearing off the wicket can be inserted and connected in the bottom area during the closing process after filling for additional reinforcement.

The bag design according to the invention is therefore based on a bag in which the film tube material itself is not provided with a wicket perforation, but rather an additional part is glued on, welded on or fastened in some other way, the additional part being a "flag "is designated. It can also be waste sections that are prepared in a corresponding manner. The “flag” can preferably be rectangular, but can also be polygonal in another way, for example rhombic or triangular.

The tube preferably has a cut-off edge and the flag is designed as a rectangular strip which is arranged with its long side parallel to the cut-off edge of the bag.

The wicket perforations, preferably two, can be made in a single tab; however, it is also possible for a flag, each having a perforation, to be arranged on the flat side of the bag in accordance with the number of wicket perforations.

It is advantageous if the flags are connected to the outside of the bag and, starting from an outer edge, the flags are provided with at least one slot which extends over part of the distance between the outer edge and wicket perforation in the direction of the wicket perforation.

Figur 1:
einen Verpackungsbeutel in einer ersten Ausführungsform (eine Fahne mit zwei Wicket-Perforationen);
Figur 2:
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing . The figures in the drawing show:
Figure 1:
a packaging bag in a first embodiment (a flag with two wicket perforations);
Figure 2:
a packaging bag in a second embodiment (two flags, each with a wicket perforation).

The bag 1 made from a film tube consists of paper or plastic suitable for packaging purposes, possibly also composite materials. In principle, all sheet-like materials that are used in the packaging industry can be used.

The bag 1 is closed at its head end with the aid of a transverse weld seam 2. The side walls are turned slightly inwards by an inner fold 3. Its lower end 4 is open. In the present case, the state is drawn just before filling. The bag is inflated by an air stream before filling.

A rectangular flag 10 provided with a wicket perforation 6, 7 is attached to one of the flat sides 5 in the region of the lower end 4. The flag 10 is with their longitudinal side parallel to the cut edge 11 of the bag 1. The flag 10 consists of a plastic film material which usually corresponds to or is similar to the material of the bag 1, but does not need to be printed or otherwise processed. For example, it can also be cut from cut "waste" strips. The wicket perforations 6, 7 have the usual spacing and diameter that are compatible with existing wicket mandrels.

The flag 10 is connected to the bag outside 5 via a weld 9. The weld seam is placed as close as possible to the edge 11 of the open end in order to accommodate the part of the flag that gets stuck there when the bottom area is later folded in, ie. H. insert and weld in the floor area so that the floor area is additionally reinforced.

The flag 10 can also have a predetermined tear line 12, so that the machine-filled bags can be torn off the wicket in a simple manner and avoiding all damage, part of the flag remaining on the wicket thorns.

However, it should also be expressly pointed out the possibility of attaching a flag 10 which can be removed or torn off the bag as a whole and which remains on the latter after the wicket has been filled and removed and can be used again.

Figure 2 shows an embodiment in which the lower end 4 of the bag is provided with two wicket flags 20 and 21. The wicket flags 20 and 21 are glued or heat-sealed to the outside of the bag 1 (only partially shown). The wicket flags 20 and 21 have a rectangular shape; their area is greatly reduced compared to the wicket flag 10 according to FIG. 1. Each a wicket perforation 16, 17 is punched approximately in the middle of the freely projecting part of the wicket flag 20 or 21. There is also a short slot 18 and 19, respectively, which bridges about half the distance from an outer edge 23 of the wicket flag 20 or 21 to the wicket perforation 16, 17. These slots 18 and 19 facilitate the tearing of the wicket flags or the bag from the wicket mandrels.

The essential basic idea of the invention, namely to minimize the cutting and packaging waste to a large extent, can be optimally fulfilled with bags of the type described above.
