Abstract

The disclosure relates to an apparatus for reducing the spread of a hit pattern for an ammunition unit (2) in the form of a shell, projectile or the like, discharged in a ballistic trajec­ tory from a launching device (1) towards a target (3) which is to be combated. The apparatus includes means (2′) which are activated in response to the difference between the true posi­ tion of the target and the point of impact of the shell for re­ tardation thereof with the intention of increasing hit at least one of the trajectory parameters of the shell, preferably the muzzle velocity of the shell, an integral sensor (13, 14) for measuring corresponding trajectory parameters and a calcu­ lator unit (16) for calculating the point of impact on the basis of the thus measured value.
