Abstract

A tube-type recording unit which possesses at its front end a small writing tube (32) with a writing wick (30) which moves axially therein. The writing wick (30), which has at its inner end a thickened spherical head (31), can be pressed in axially against the action of a return spring (41). The return spring (41) forms part of a spring element ring which is inserted between the ink supply line (11) and the writing wick (30) in the casing (20). The ring (40) and return spring (41) are dimensioned in such a way that the ink which emerges from the ink supply line (11) arrives without any restriction and in sufficient quantity at the writing wick (30).

Description

Wie bei dem z. B. in der DE-OS 30 23 189 beschriebenen Röhrchenschreibgerät wird bei diesem Gerät flüssige Tinte über ein Röhrchen auf die Schreibunterlage gebracht. In dem Röhrchen ist ein draht- oder dochtförmiges Schreibelement angeordnet, das mit der Innenwandung des Röhrchens Tintenzufuhrkanäle bildet. Dieser Schreibdocht überragt das außen gelegene Rohrchenende und bildet mit diesem die Schreibspitze. Es ist gegen die Wirkung eines Federelementes axial im Röhrchen verschiebbar. Das Federelement sorgt dafür, daß die Schreibspitze in jeder Schreiblage mit der Schreibunterlage in Kontakt bleibt. Durch die sich beim Schreiben automatisch einstellende Axialbewegung des Schreibdochtes werden Verunreinigungen aus dem Schreibröhrchen entfernt. Außerdem unterstützt die beim Aufsetzen der Schreibspitze entstehende Pumpwirkung diesen Effekt.As with the z. Claims (9)

1. A writing instrument for liquid ink having a small writing tube (32) and a wire or wick shaped writing element (30) axially displaceable inside this, the end of which projecting from the small writing tube forms with the latter the writing tip, and the internal end of which, in the form of a head (31) or the like, bears against a spring element (41), characterized in that the spring element consists of a collar (40) surrounding the writing element (30), with a space between them, having a return spring (41) projecting from the inside of the collar (40), which is so formed and arranged that ink passes unhindered through the collar (40) to the writing element (30).
2. A writing instrument according to Claim 1, characterized in that the collar (40) and return spring (41) are a one-piece component made of synthetic material and preferably of thermoplastic material.

A writing instrument according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a holder (19) with a coaxial socket (20) is inserted in the front end of the writing apparatus casing (10), which socket comprises a rear through hole to receive the ink feeder (11) and a front through hole of smaller cross-section to receive the writing tube (32) with the writing element (30), and in that the spring element (40, 41) is placed in the rear through hole between the ink feeder (11) and writing element (30).
4. A writing instrument according to Claim 3, characterized in that axially directed capillary channels (42, 43) are arranged on the inner and/or outer side surfaces of the collar (40).
5. A writing instrument according to Claim 4, characterized in that radially directed collecting channels (23) are provided in the bottom surface of the rear through hole of the socket (20), which lead centrally to an annular capillary slit (24) between the writing element (30) and the front through hole of the socket (20).
6. A writing instrument according to Claim 5, characterized in that the through hole of the socket (20) comprises axially directed capillary channels (22) or cut structures directed substantially axially which open out into the radially directed collecting channels (23).
7. A writing instrument according to one of Claims 1 to 6,, characterized in that the writing element is a writing wick (30) consisting of thermoplastic material, the inner end of which is thickened into a ball-head (31) and whose side surface comprises axially directed capillary channels (33).
8. A writing apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the writing element is a metallic writing wire (30'), on the inner end of which a ball-head (31') is moulded, preferably made of synthetic material, and which delimits with the small writing tube (32') a circular capillary slit (33').
9. A writing apparatus according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the metallic small writing tube (32, 32') is coated with a hard wearing material, preferably titanium nitride.
