It essentially comprises a carriage 20 which is linked to a pivot axis 12 by a rigid arm 13. As will be seen below, this carriage is supported by rollers. It can be driven by a motor and because it is linked by the arm 13 to the pivot axis 12, it will move in an arc according to the arrow 14.

- the two arms 22 and 23 are symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal axis of the carriage 20. They consist of segments of cylindrical tubes which slide in fixed supports 26 and 27 having a cylindrical bore adjusted to the outside diameter of the arms 22 and 23. These guide cylinders are fixed on the upper plate of the carriage.
- the support arm 24 comprises a shaft 28 guided by a fixed bearing 29. At one end, it has an enlargement 30 which slides inside the bore of the arm 23, while at the other end the shaft 28 has a cylindrical part 34 of the same diameter as the arm 23 and which is intended to support a cheek of the coil 7.
- Parallel to this arm 24, the arm 25 is supported at its two ends by flanges 31 which are integral with the carriage and arm 13.

- the construction described is sufficiently robust and rigid so that the arms 22, 23, 24 and 25 can support a coil resting on them not its two parallel cheeks.
- the construction is sufficiently picked up in the transverse direction so that the reel carried by its cheeks on the two transport arms of a lifting and displacement machine can be easily loaded on the trolley when it is in the release position as shown for example in solid lines on the left at the bottom of FIG. 2, or in dashed lines at the bottom right of this same figure.
- the described device of simple design is compact and allows to organize the transport paths of the coils, for example in a cable, rationally. It facilitates the feeding and evacuation of the reels compared to a winder or a reel installed either as a head end machine or at the end of a line in a cable plant.
