Abstract

A protective device for a printing press having a hinged protective cover with an automatic mechanical interlocking mechanism, which includes a fixed pawl on the press frame and a cooperating interlocking element which, by shifting its center of gravity, automatically engages in and disengages from a recess in the pawl as the cover is successively raised and lowered with respect to a latched open position.

Derartige Schutzabdeckungen müssen aber an den Druckmaschinen abnehmbar oder abklappbar angeordnet werden, um Wartungs-bzw. Einstellarbeiten vornehmen zu können. Deshalb fordert die Berufsgenossenschaft solche Schutzabdeckungen und deren elektrische Absicherung, die dann üblicherweise nach abgenommenen oder abgeklappten Schutzabdeckungen nur noch bestimmte Maschinenfunktionen gestattet bzw. die Maschine stillsetzt. Beim Öffnen wird die Schutzabdeckung 1 bis zu einem Anschlagstift 5 im Gelenk 7 verschwenkt. Kurz vor dem Anschlagen klappt das Verriegelungselement 2 wegen des größeren Gewichtes auf der rechten Seite in eine Aussparung einer am Maschinengestell 6 mittels Schrauben 8, 14 befestigten Klinke 4. Beim Zurücklassen der Schutzabdeckung 1 in eine geöffnete Endstellung geht der Schraubbolzen 3 von einer Position A in eine Position B gemäß Fig. 1. Durch diese Schwerpunktverlagerung ist die linke Seite des Verriegelungselementes 2 jetzt schwerer als die rechte Seite. Bei kurzem Anheben der Schutzabdeckung 1 wird das Verriegelungselement 2 aus der Aussparung der Klinke 4 gezogen und klappt wegen der vorangegangenen Schwerpunktverlagerung nach links und die Schutzabdeckung 1 läßt sich schließen. Dabei wird das Verriegelungselement 2 über die Klinke 4 geschleift und zwangsläufig in die Position A gebracht, wodruch der Ausgangszustand erreicht ist. Claims (2)

  1. Protection device on rotary printing presses with plate-like protective covers (1) which cover danger zones of the print unit, can be lifted up for adjustment and maintenance work and is thereby arranged to influence electrical safety devices, in which a mechanical locking device (2, 4) is provided which has controlled locking elements in the form of pawl and counterpart, characterised in that the mechanical locking device (2 to 4) has a fixed pawl (4) on the press frame (6) and as counterpart a locking element (2) arranged swingably on a pin (3) on the protective cover (1), wherein the locking element (2) contains two cutouts (A, B), hung up on which the locking element (2) can take up in each case by shifting of its centre of gravity a stable position locking or not locking the protective cover, wherein the position of the locking element (2) depending upon the angular position of the protective cover (1) automatically adjusts itself by displacement of the centre of gravity.
  2. Protection device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the locking element (2) can be engaged in and out by means of threaded bolts (3) provided on the protective cover (1) with displacement of the centre of gravity of its body in such a fashion that the threaded bolts (3) arranged in a first position (A, Fig. 1) in the locking element (2) on pulling back the protective cover (1) previously lifted up to a stop post (5) into an opened end position can be displaced towards a second position (B, Fig. 1) and on briefly lifting the protective cover (1) can be displaced back again towards the first position (A, Fig. 1) by positive guidance in the cutout of the fixed position pawl (4).
