Definitions
- Coaxial cable connections of the design specified in the preamble of claim 1 are generally used in telecommunications equipment.
- Such connections are made in a known manner by means of commercially available manifolds.
- a connecting elbow which forms a bent metal tube, consists of two shell halves produced by the die casting process. After inserting the correspondingly prepared coaxial cable, the shell halves are folded together, with their threaded connection on the connection side, inserted up to a flange from below through a hole in the female connector and screwed onto the strip plate from above using a ring nut.
- One on a shell half of the connecting elbow with a molded-on attachment is arranged in this position on the long side of the plate.
- a winding pin is attached, via which a wire winding connection to the corresponding winding pin is made on the last plate.
- connection elbow is provided with a threaded connector on the cable entry side.
- an earthing sleeve is pressed against the braided shield of the correspondingly stripped coaxial cable, whereby the earthing connection is made to the Federieiste via elbow and winding pin.
- the end of the stripped inner conductor protruding from the connection elbow above the female connector is directly connected to a winding pin.
- the invention has for its object to improve the coaxial cable connection according to the preamble of claim 1, so that each bushing can be occupied with a coaxial cable in the female connector.
- This object is achieved according to the invention by the constructive measures specified in the characterizing part of this claim.
- Advantageous embodiments of the subject matter of claim 1 can be found in the subclaims.
- connection only consists of three different individual parts, one of which is only a piece of wire and the ferrule is an inexpensive, commercially available fastening means. Because the holder is made of plastic and is simple in design, it can be mass-produced. The storage of the required parts takes up little space. Their assembly is limited to a few simple steps, making it easy to make cable connections with the Federieisten fully occupied, which entails significantly less costs than before.
- the female connector is generally designated 1. It consists of a strip plate 2, which passes through a series of holes 4 at a short distance from a long side 3. On the other long side, a connector strip 5 and between this and the row of bores 4, a connector panel consisting of winding pins 6 is arranged.
- a step-like stripped coaxial cable 7 is used to establish a connection, in which the end of the outer conductor 9 freed from the outer cable jacket 8 carries a crimp sleeve 10.
- the crimp sleeve 10 is pushed together with a previously loosely inserted shield wire 11 onto the outer conductor 9 and fastened to it by deformation.
- the shield wire 11 can also be previously attached to the Qeutsch sleeve 10 by welding or soldering.
- a partial length of the still insulated inner conductor protrudes from the outer conductor 9, which consists, for example, of a tubular wire mesh.
- the essentially U-shaped holder 12 consists of a one-piece injection molded plastic body, in each of which an elastic clip 13, 14 is formed on both ends. Between The brackets 13, 14 form a free space into which, after the holder 12 has been fastened, the crimp sleeve 10 protruding from the bore 4 of the female connector 1 protrudes.
- the lower bracket 13 consists of a slotted bore 15, the diameter of which is equal to the outer diameter of the coaxial cable 7.
- a recess 17 is provided on the inside 16 of the holder 12, the height of which is matched to the plate thickness of the female connector 1.
- the upper bracket 14 also consists of a slotted bore 18, the diameter of which is somewhat larger than the diameter of the insulation 19 of the inner conductor.
- the holder 12 is simply pressed against the ledge plate 2 until the latter completely fills the recess 17 in the holder 12.
- the lower bracket 13 snaps over the outer cable sheath 8, while the insulation 19 of the inner conductor is pressed into the upper bracket 14.
- the coaxial cable 7 and the holder 12 are thus already fixed to the female connector 1 and the stripped end of the inner conductor and the shield wire coming from the outer conductor 9 can be wound on the corresponding pins 6. Because the holder 12 only needs to be slightly wider than the coaxial cable 7, all of the bores 4 of the female connector 1 can be occupied, the holders 12 spanning the longitudinal side 3 of the strip plate 2 sitting next to one another without gaps.

Abstract
When connecting coaxial cables (7) to the winding pins (6) of a conventional female connector (1), the previously used connection elbow, with which only every second hole (4) in the connector plate (2) can be occupied, is replaced by an arrangement which the assignment of all bushings of the female connector (1) is permitted. The connection arrangement consists of a crimp sleeve (10) fastened on the outer conductor of the coaxial cable (7) with a shield wire inserted in between for the connection to a winding pin (6) of the female connector (1) and a holder (12) which overlaps the external connector plate (2). . This has a clip at its ends, one of which comprises the outer cable jacket below the strip plate (2) and the other above the strip plate (2) the insulated inner conductor of the coaxial cable (7).
Description
Coaxial cable connections of the design specified in the preamble of
Such connections are made in a known manner by means of commercially available manifolds. Such a connecting elbow, which forms a bent metal tube, consists of two shell halves produced by the die casting process. After inserting the correspondingly prepared coaxial cable, the shell halves are folded together, with their threaded connection on the connection side, inserted up to a flange from below through a hole in the female connector and screwed onto the strip plate from above using a ring nut. One on a shell half of the connecting elbow with a molded-on attachment is arranged in this position on the long side of the plate. In the approach, a winding pin is attached, via which a wire winding connection to the corresponding winding pin is made on the last plate.
The connection elbow is provided with a threaded connector on the cable entry side. When the corresponding hexagon nut is screwed on, an earthing sleeve is pressed against the braided shield of the correspondingly stripped coaxial cable, whereby the earthing connection is made to the Federieiste via elbow and winding pin. The end of the stripped inner conductor protruding from the connection elbow above the female connector is directly connected to a winding pin.
Such manifolds are expensive. They consist of six different individual parts, which cause relatively cumbersome and time-consuming assembly work. In addition, they take up so much space in terms of volume that only every second hole can be used on the female connector.
The invention has for its object to improve the coaxial cable connection according to the preamble of
Such a connection only consists of three different individual parts, one of which is only a piece of wire and the ferrule is an inexpensive, commercially available fastening means. Because the holder is made of plastic and is simple in design, it can be mass-produced. The storage of the required parts takes up little space. Their assembly is limited to a few simple steps, making it easy to make cable connections with the Federieisten fully occupied, which entails significantly less costs than before.
- Fig. 1 eine Federleiste mit zwei in unmittelbar benachbarten Druchführungen befestigten Koaxialkabeln, in perspektivischer Ansicht;
- Fig. 2 einen Halter zur Befestigung eines Koaxialkabels an der Federleiste, längsgeschnitten;
- Figure 1 is a female connector with two coaxial cables attached in immediately adjacent bushings, in perspective view.
- Figure 2 shows a holder for attaching a coaxial cable to the female connector, cut longitudinally.
- Fig. 3 shows the female connector of Fig. 1 during the manufacture of a cable connection, partially in section, in a perspective view.
It consists of a
A step-like stripped
The essentially U-shaped
To attach the
