In order to improve a joining arrangement in such a way that a strengthening of the frame bar (36) is produced only at the location of the connection part (20), the strengthening part is a supporting part (42) present only in the passage region of the connection part (20), and the profile wall (40) opposite the link (10) has a built-in opening (43) for the supporting part (42). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a connection arrangement of two angularly abutting profile bars for window or door frames, with a connecting piece which engages and is fastened to the end face of a cross bar and which is seated on the outside of a frame bar and fastened to it with a connecting part which is made of Plastic existing, having a hollow profile frame bar penetrates and engages a profile wall of the frame bar opposite the connector, and with a built into the profile interior of the frame bar support member which is supported on the inner surface of the connector-side profile wall.

Generic connection arrangements are known for example from DE-U-8 510 869. The fastening screw used there as a connecting part is supported with a screw head on the profile wall opposite the connecting piece, so that there is a risk of deforming this profile wall and thus the entire frame rod in this area. It is therefore generally known to insert a steel tube into the chamber of the hollow profile made of plastic, through which the fastening screw passes, which is matched to the cross section of the chamber and to which the profile walls forming the chamber are adjacent such that deformation the crossbar or the profile wall supporting the screw head is avoided. With this type of stiffening of the frame rod, it is problematic that the connection points of the cross rod on the frame rod change and, above all, the insertion of a short steel tube exactly into the place of the fastening screw is only possible with corresponding effort. In order to avoid the possibility of errors from the outset due to the problem described above, a steel tube is usually used which runs over the entire relevant length of the frame rod. This results in a stiffening of the frame rod over its entire length, although stiffening is only required at discrete points.

From GB-A-2 119 890 and from GB-A-2 134 205 connecting arrangements of angularly abutting profile bars are known, in which a connecting piece engages in the end face of a cross bar or two connecting pieces engage which are fixed transversely to the longitudinal bar on the latter . Fastening screws can be screwed into the connecting pieces, which are inserted and screwed in through holes of the longitudinal rod aligned with the fastening hole of the connecting piece. Whose connector-side hollow profile wall is stiffened by a plate lying against it, which is to be inserted from the front side of the longitudinal rod into the hollow profile. This plate has a through hole for the fastening screw and supports the screw head. In these constructions, the profile walls opposite the connecting piece are not subjected to a load and the connection strength is influenced only by the connecting piece-side profile wall.

The invention is therefore based on the object of improving a connection arrangement of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the frame rod is reinforced only at the location of the connecting part.

This object is achieved in that there is an installation opening for the support member in the profile wall opposite the connector, and in that the support member is a sleeve surrounding the connector, one end of which is supported on the inner surface of the connector-side profile wall and the other end of which is connected to the outer surface the profile wall opposite the connector is at least flush.

It is essential for the invention that there is an installation opening for the support part in the frame rod or in its supporting profile wall, and that the latter can consequently only be present in the access area. Due to its only local expansion, this support part can be produced with only a small amount of material. The use of a steel pipe or plate is avoided. The installation opening can be made precisely by simply drilling into a plastic profile wall. There is no need to drill metal. The support part can have any desired shape with which it can be installed through the installation opening, for example and preferably a cylindrical shape.

The supporting part is expediently a sleeve surrounding the connecting part, one end of which is supported on the inner surface of the profile wall on the connector side and the other end of which is at least flush with the outer surface of the profile wall opposite the connector. The design of the support part as a sleeve is expedient because its bore can easily be matched to the cross section of the connecting part, for example to a round cross section. In this case, commercially available sleeves can be used as support parts. The length of the sleeve must be so large that the connecting part cannot deform the profile wall. This is already the case when the end of the support part on the profile wall engages in the installation opening and is flush with the outer surface of the profile wall. It is also possible that To make the sleeve shorter, at least in sections, and to adapt the installation opening so that these shortened sleeve peripheral sections support the profile wall against loads from the connecting part. Such constructions, as well as an expansion sleeve seated on a connecting part, which also supports the profile wall, are structurally more complex and the support effect for the profile wall is comparatively less.

The connecting part is advantageously a fastening screw with a head that radially extends over the installation opening of the supporting part. This head is supported directly on the profile wall, but cannot deform it because it is attached to it is hindered by the support member. In this case, however, the profile wall adjacent to the connecting part is considerably stressed, so that instability of the connection cannot be ruled out over time due to the flow of the plastic.

As a result, in a further embodiment of the invention, the connecting part is a fastening screw with a head supported on a washer. This washer distributes the forces of the connecting part over larger areas of the profile wall opposite the connecting piece, for example up to where this profile wall is connected to the profile wall adjacent to the profile piece by means of crossbars. The large-area force distribution to be achieved by the washer practically precludes the connection arrangement from loosening due to a flow of plastic.

The washer is advantageously fixedly connected to the support part or in one piece. A firm connection of the washer to the support part can be achieved, for example, by inserting the support part through a bore in the washer and attaching it to it by flanging. The one-piece design of the washer and the support part is particularly advantageous when special washers and support parts have to be used, which therefore have to be produced in special manufacturing processes, the manufacturing process being standardized by the one-piece design. The non-detachability of the washer and the support part has the advantage that suitable components can only be used for the special support case, so that, for example, the use of unsuitable washers is avoided.

The washer has a spacing on the edge-side projections of the opposite of the connector Profile wall matched maximum diameter. As a result, it can easily be placed between the edge-side projections without abutting them on the profile wall when the support part is inserted through the installation opening into the frame bar.

The support part is arranged eccentrically to the washer, so that with the largest possible surface or length of the washer to achieve a large-scale or force distribution that is remote from the support part, consideration can be given to the fact that the support part is not symmetrical between those on the profile wall opposite the connector Projections is arranged, due to the location of the attachment point of the connecting part on the connector.

The washer is rectangular with its rotation by contact with projections of the frame rod preventing edges. This ensures that the washer can be kept narrow, whereby the abutment of the edges on the projections of the frame rod ensures that the forces resulting from the connecting part come close to the projections of the frame rod, where there are usually inside of the hollow profile are stiffening crossbars.

The support part is supported by a rubber seal on the inner surface of the profile wall on the connector side. The rubber seal causes on the one hand that the through hole for the connecting part is sealed so that moisture reaching the frame rod cannot get into the interior of the profile; and the rubber seal, when the connecting part is supported by a washer, has the effect that the forces resulting from the connecting part are practically only transferred to the profile wall opposite the connecting piece.

The rubber seal is an O-ring that clamps on the connecting part and holds the latter together with the supporting part. This O-ring is commercially available and therefore proven. In addition, this rubber seal causes the connecting part and the support part to be held together with the washer to form a structural unit, so that such a structural unit means practically no additional handling and storage effort compared to a single fastening screw and only compared to a conventional fastening screw with washer represents a handling part whose washer can not be forgotten or the wrong size can be selected.

Das Verbindungsstück 10 greift mit dem Zentralkörper 11 bzw. dessen Rohreingriffsteil 32 in den Querstab 56 ein bzw. in ein nicht dargestelltes Metallrohr dieses Querstabs 56, welches den aus Kunststoff bestehenden Querstab 56 versteift.1 has a central body 11 which extends essentially in the direction of a crossbar 56 to be connected, that is to say for example in the direction of a fighter or a rung of a window. The connecting piece 10 engages with the central body 11 or its tube engagement part 32 in the cross bar 56 or in a metal tube (not shown) of this cross bar 56, which stiffens the cross bar 56 made of plastic.

The connecting piece 10 is fastened to the cross bar 56 with fastening legs 13, which are arranged essentially parallel to the central body 11 and held by projections 14 are, which extend in the transverse direction thereto or in the direction of the frame rod 36 with which the connector 10 must also be in a fixed connection. Such a connection arrangement is known from DE-GM 85 10 869.

From this document, the design of the fastening legs 13 is known, insofar as they are angularly shaped with their cross section, the angle leg 13 'between a contact surface 36' of the frame rod 36 for the angle leg 13 '' and a retaining bar 57 of the cross bar 36 fits around to contribute to a precisely fitting connection between the cross bar 56 and the frame bar 36. The angle leg 13 'reinforces the angle leg 13' ', which is weakened in its central region by a recess 25 which is required for the engagement of an elastic sealing strip or a recess 68 of a frame rollover profile 59 of the frame rod 36. The angle leg 13 '' is flush with the connector-side contact surface 36 'of this rollover profile 59, namely in the area of its lower mounting hole 26. It is also flush with the stop surface 56' of the crossbar 56 to be connected, namely in the area of its mounting hole 27. Everyone Fastening leg 13 is consequently screwed tightly to the frame rod 36 and to the transverse rod 56 with the aid of the fastening holes 26, 27. If necessary, the fastening legs 13 also serve to glue the connecting piece 10 to the frame and the transverse rod 36, 56.

The connector 10 cut in the right half in the area of its central body 11 shows the hollow design of the central body 11 and a frame-side threaded sleeve 55, into which a fastening screw can engage. The threaded sleeve 55 is made of metal and is injected into plastic, which is integral with the central body 11.

The connector 10 shown in Fig. 2 differs from that of Fig. 1 in that it is at least in Engagement area of a connecting part 20 designed as a fastening screw consists of metal, in the threaded bore 58 of which the connecting part 20 engages with a threaded end 66. As a result, the connecting piece 10 and the transverse rod 56 fixed thereto by means of screwing through the fastening holes 27, see FIG. 1, are pulled against the connecting piece-side profile wall 46 and fixed thereon. This profile wall 46 forms with the profile wall 40, which is at a distance from the connecting piece 10, and the side surfaces 60 a cavity which is divided by stiffening webs 62 into two outer chambers 61 and a middle chamber 63. In the middle chamber 63, a metal tube is drawn with a broken line, which is conventionally used as a stiffening part, so that the frame rod 36, which is made of plastic, is not deformed when the connecting part 20 is strongly tightened. In contrast, the connection arrangement according to the innovation has a support part 42 which supports the connection part 20 only in the passage area shown, that is to say directly in the vicinity of the connection part 20. This support part 42 consists essentially of a metal sleeve which surrounds the connecting part 20 and is matched in particular with its inner diameter to its outer diameter. The inner diameter is circular if a cylindrical fastening screw with a corresponding circular cylindrical outer diameter is used as the connecting part 20. The radial dimensioning of the sleeve-shaped support part 42 takes place in such a way that the clamping forces generated by the connecting part 20 can be absorbed without deformation. The design of the support part 42 in the area of the head 49, 51 of the connecting part 20 can be quite different. The support part 42 must be at least flush with the outer surface 48 of the profile wall 40, so that this is not deformed by the head 49 when the connecting part 20 is tightened. The dashed head 49 of the connecting part 20 designed as a fastening screw engages over the supporting part 42 in the radial direction, so that it is on the outer surface 48 of the profile wall 40 can support when the support member 42 or its end 47 ends flush with the outer surface 48. A deformation of the profile wall 40 is not possible because when the connecting part 20 is tightened, the support part 42 is supported on the inner surface 45 of the profile wall 46 on the connector side, and thus a transfer of the clamping force to this profile wall 46.

The clamping forces of the connecting part 20 can, however, also be largely transferred to the profile wall 40 if the head 51 of the connecting part 20 is supported on a washer 50. Fig. 2 shows a washer 50 which is integral with the supporting part 42 and both consist for example of die-cast zinc. The screw head 51 transmits the clamping force of the connecting part 20 to the washer 50, which presses on the profile wall 40 or on the webs 62.

The washer 50 is rectangular as shown in FIG. 3, and designed so that it fits straight between projections 52 of the outer surface 48 of the profile wall 40. Their edges 54 are adjacent to the projections 52 such that a rotation adjustment of the washer 50 is not possible. It is thus easily prevented when tightening the connecting part 20 by screwing that the washer 50 rotates so that its longitudinal extension extends essentially in the direction of the frame rod 36, so that the washer 50 does not overlap the webs 62 according to FIG. 2. In such a position, the profile wall 40 would not withstand the load from the connecting part 20 without deformation.

The installation of the support part 42 takes place through an installation opening 43, the design of which is adapted to the outer circumference of the support part 42, that is, for example, a circular bore. For fastening, the connecting part 20 is screwed together with the connecting piece 10 until it is against the profile wall 46 is pulled. A rubber seal 53 located between the connector-side end of the support part 42 is compressed and prevents moisture from penetrating into the central chamber 63 through the bore 64 of the profile wall 46. The bore 64 of the wall 46 is arranged in the region of profile projections 65 for a center seal and is most useful here. As a result, the connecting part 20 is not symmetrical between the projections 52 of the profile wall 40. It is therefore necessary that the support part 42 is arranged eccentrically to the washer 50. This also ensures that the washer 50 always lies in a correct position on the outer surface 48 of the rod 40.
