Claims (12)

  1. File mechanism for loose leafs for receiving, in an easily exchangeable manner, records or the like, comprising a base plate (1) which can be riveted onto the back of a letter file and which is provided with two brackets (2, 3) opposing each other, on which brackets lateral members (4, 5), provided with curved lining-up pins (6,6', 7,7'), are pivotally mounted about a common axis (8), and comprising a lever (9) extending parallel to the axis (3), which lever, through spring action, is automatically retained in a locking position maintaining the lateral members (4, 5) in a closing position and can be moved manually into an opening position releasing the lateral members (4, 5), and whereby the base plate (1) and the brackets (2, 3) are formed of a plastics material and in one piece, and the lateral members (4, 5) are also formed of plastics material and having lining-up pins (6,6', 7,7'), which are formed of steel, attached thereto, characterized in that the arcuated lining-up pins (6,6', 7,7') of one lateral member (4, resp. 5) are connected with each other forming a single piece and extend at a right angle from the respective connecting member (20), and in that the connecting member (20) is positioned in a groove which is formed at the back of the lateral parts (4,5), which groove connects the holes, into which the lining-up pins (6,6', 7,7') are inserted, with each another.

  3. File mechanism for loose leafs according to claim 1, characterized in that it is formed as a four-hole mechanism, wherein the lining-up pins exhibit a circular cross section and the lining-up pins of one lateral member are set off against the lining-up pins of the other lateral member by, for example, 2 cm.
  4. File mechanism for loose leafs according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the connecting member (20) of the lining-up pins (6,6', 7,7') is glued or welded in place in the groove of the lateral members (4,5).
  5. File mechanism for loose leafs according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the plastics material of which the lateral parts (4,5) are formed is injected about the lining-up pins (6,6', 7,7'), which are inserted into an injection mould, and about the connecting members (20) thereof.
  6. File mechanism for loose leafs according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the lever (9) is arranged on a U-shaped oscillating crank (10) which is pivotally mounted about the axis (8) and whose cheeks (11, 12), extending upwards at an angle, are mounted on pivots (13, 14), which pivots are sustained by the brackets.
  7. File mechanism for loose leafs according to claim 6, characterized in that the base plate (1) is formed like a frame and exhibits an oblong opening (15) for partially receiving the oscillating crank (10).
  8. File mechanism for loose leafs according to claim 7, characterized in that the upper longitudinal edges of the opening (15) and the lower longitudinal edges of the oscillating crank (10) are bevelled in the same direction, at an angle of approx. 30 to 40°, and in that the longitudinally extending part of the oscillating crank (10) is substantially arranged within said opening.
  9. File mechanism for loose leafs according to any one of claims 6 to 8, characterized in that on the oscillating crank (9) a bearing (16) for the lever (9) is formed into which the lever (9) can engage such that it is pivotable about an axis (17).
  10. File mechanism for loose leafs according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the lever (9) is formed of plastics material and in that a pull-back spring (18), which is supported by an abutment (19), is formed on the lever (9), whereby said pull-back spring (18) retains the lever (9) in a locking position maintaining the lateral members (4,5) in a closing position.
  11. File mechanism for loose leafs according to claim 10, characterized in that the pull-back spring (18) consists of a plastics tongue which at both ends is connected to the lever (9).
  12. File mechanism for loose leafs according to any one of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that one pivot (13) is arranged on a bracket (2 or 3) and the other pivot (14) is arranged on the cheek (11, 12) of a lateral member (4 or 5) or on the cheek (24, 25) of the oscillating crank (10).
