Description

The present invention relates to a shoe inner material with adsorbing properties, in which as the adsorbent material, e.g. activated carbon is used to adsorb sweat and odorous substances.

It is known from the prior art that activated carbon has good adsorption properties, and is therefore also particularly suitable for adsorbing body vapors such as sweat and the odorous substances contained therein. For this reason, attempts have been made in some way to incorporate activated carbon as an adsorbent material into the inner material of shoes. For example, it has been proposed to incorporate the activated carbon into a latex foam and to produce insoles for shoes from the latex foam thus obtained. However, it turned out to be disadvantageous that the activated carbon was no longer freely accessible to the substances to be adsorbed due to the embedding in the latex foam, as a result of which the adsorbing effect was largely lost. Attempts have therefore been made to increase the free accessibility of the activated carbon in the shoe inner material in that the activated carbon has been less integrated into the material. However, this meant that the activated carbon was no longer completely held by the binder, so that the inner material of the shoe turned black due to the abrasion.

The object of the present invention is therefore to create a shoe inner material with adsorbing properties of the type mentioned in the introduction, in which the adsorbing activated carbon is freely accessible on the one hand for substances to be adsorbed, but on the other hand nevertheless has a high abrasion resistance.

The solution to this problem is provided by a shoe inner material in which activated carbon particles are fixed in a punctiform manner on the side facing away from the foot by means of an adhesive. The shoe inner material according to the invention can e.g. between the upper leather and the lining of the shoe, between the main sole and insole or as an intermediate layer in an insole or in a footbed. The shoe inner material can also be designed as a covering material for the footbed of the shoe. To ensure the required abrasion resistance, very hard activated carbon particles are preferably used as the adsorbent for the shoe inner material according to the invention. These activated carbon particles are preferably spherical or largely spherical. The diameter of the activated carbon particles is preferably between 0.1 mm and 1 mm.

Materials suitable for the purposes of the invention are known, for example, from DE-C-29 51 827, EP-B-90 073 and EP-B-118 618, the content of which is to be part of the disclosure of the present invention.
The point fixation of the activated carbon particles according to EP-B-118 618 ensures that about 85% of the surface of the activated carbon is freely accessible is, so that the existing adsorption capacity is largely preserved. The adhesive is not applied as a closed surface application, but in a punctiform manner so that the breathability of the material is retained. The adhesive can be applied, for example, in the manner described in EP-B-118 618 by rotary stencil printing. This requires an adhesive which, in addition to high mechanical strength and elasticity as well as a certain penetration ability, must also have sufficient initial tack to hold the sprinkled activated carbon beads until the strength is reached. This requirement is met by the adhesive compositions described in EP-B-118 618, in particular low-solvent or solvent-free (20 to 0%) IMPRANIL high-solid PUR reactive products R from BAYER. These are NCO prepolymers that are blocked to maintain a long pot life and that are cross-linked with a defined amount of a diamine (eg IMPRAFIX HS-C).

The shoe inner material according to the invention is particularly well suited for combat boots with integrated C protection or safety boots with protection against aggressive chemicals. Sedentary warfare agents pose a great danger to the soldier's feet. Today's NBC protection provides special overboots to protect against such warfare agents. However, it can happen that these overboots are damaged or not at hand at the crucial moment. The shoe inner material according to the invention provides a remedy here, because it adsorbs the warfare agents. Combat boots equipped with the shoe inner material according to the invention therefore ensure considerably higher security for the soldier.
