Abstract
A self-cleaning brush (1) for hair, furs and other similar surfaces, said brush having a body (3) that bears the teeth (4) and beig provided or not with a handle (2) having a template member (5) which is movable with respect to the teeth (4) or vice-versa, the reciprocal motion between the template member (5) and the teeth (4) being longitudinal with respect to the teeth (4) themselves.
Description
- The object of the present finding consists in a self-cleaning brush.
- More specifically, the object of the present finding consists in a hair-brush or a brush for long-hair furs and other similar surfaces, said brush being so realized as to be self-cleaning, i.e., a brush in which a means is provided to allow the cleaning by simple and rapid removal to be carried out of the hair remaining between the teeth of the brush itself after using the same.
- Brushes of the kind which the present finding relates to are cleaned at present by means of spaced-teeth combs, by needles, small size scissors and above all with much patience.
- Indeed, we are not aware of the existence of any brushes endowed with devices or means allowing them to be cleaned.
- The practical and hygienic drawbacks stemming from a cleaning operation performed as mentioned above are well evident.
- Accordingly, the Applicant has investigated, experimented and realized a self-cleaning brush that is suitable to solve the problem of removal of the hair remaining between the teeth of the brush itself.
- Such result is obtained according to the present invention through the realization of a relative motion between the teeth and a template-like or jig-like member so that a longitudinal relative motion is obtained concretely between the brush teeth and said member, or vice-versa.
- The template, again according to the present invention, can be an auxiliary member for the brush and it is normally arranged on the brush body.
- According to a variation of the present invention, said template forms an integral member with the handle whereas the teeth-bearing body is movable.
- Accordingly, it is a specific object of the present finding a self-cleaning brush with a teeth-bearing body and possibly with a handle, said brush being suitable for the hair, for furs and other similar surfaces and having a member that is movable with respect to the teeth, the reciprocal motion being longitudinal with respect to said teeth.
- More particularly, said member, which is realized in the shape of a template or jig, is movable with respect to the brush teeth which are stationary.
- According to a further embodiment of the brush of the present invention, said template-like member is fastened whereas the teeth are movable and again are endowed with a longitudinal translational motion.
- The teeth of the brush according to the present invention will be provided, all of them or only some of them, with a terminal bulge.
- Further according to the present invention said template member can also be so realized as to be movable with respect to the brush handle.
- Again according to the present invention, the teeth of the brush which in the working position are sloping with respect to the principal axis of the brush itself, will be endowed with means that, during the motion of the template member or during their translation motion, cause the same to recover the upright position.
- The present invention will be disclosed in the following according to some preferred embodiments of the same with particular reference to the figures of the enclosed drawings wherein:
- - Figure 1 is a side view as a partial cross section of a first embodiment of the brush according to the present invention;
- - Figure 2 is a cross-section view along the line II-II of Figure 1;
- - Figure 3 is a partial cross-section side view of the brush according to the invention; and
- - Figure 4 is a cross section view along the line IV-IV of Figure 3.
- A
brush 1 with or without ahandle 2 has abody 3 that bears the teeth 4. - According to the present finding, the
body 3 that bears the teeth 4 can form an integral piece with thehandle 2 when thebrush 1 is provided with such handle. - According to a variation of the present invention, the
body 3 that bears the teeth 4 is movable with respect to thehandle 1. - Said
body 3 that bears the teeth 4 can bear teeth 4 of any known shape. - According to the present finding, a
template 5 bearing a plurality ofholes 6 corresponding to the teeth 4 is normally present cooperating with the base of said teeth 4. - Said
template 5 can move both axially and longitudinally with respect to said teeth 4. - The sizes of the
holes 6 depend on the sizes of the teeth 4. - All teeth 4 or a part of them show a
bulge 7 at their ends, such bulge preventingsaid template 5 from slipping out of the teeth when it is employed for cleaning thebrush 1. - According to the solution shown in Figure 1, said
template 5 is movable with respect to thebrush 1 as well as to the teeth 4. - According to the embodiment shown in Figure 2, the
template 5 is movable with respect to thebody 3 that bears the teeth 4. - Said
template 5 can haveholes 6 of different conformations with respect to the cross sections of the teeth 4. - Said teeth 4, and especially those on the side portion which are usually sloping, are oscillating so as to allow the motion of the
template 5. - The present invention has been disclosed just for illustrative and not for limitative purposes, according to some preferred embodiments of the same, but it is to be understood that modifications and/or changes can be introduced in the same by those who are skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention for which a priority right is claimed.
