Um eine gegenüber den bisher beschriebenen Produktionsarten notwendige Drehrichtungsumkehr der Zylinder 4, 5 der unteren Druckeinheit zu erreichen, erfolgt der Antrieb dieser Zylinder nunmehr bei geöffneter Kupplung 10 vom oberen Antriebsstrang aus über das Räderpaar 2"', 4"', die geschlossene Kupplung 11 und das Räderpaar 4", 5". Claims (8)

1. Printing unit in a web-fed offset rotary printing machine suitable for flying plate exchange, having at least two printing units each comprising a plate cylinder and a rubber blanket cylinder which can be set alternately or simultaneously on a counter-supported print carrier web, which units can also be set against each other to produce recto and verso print on the printed material web guided between the rubber blanket cylinders for this purpose, characterised in that the rubber blanket cylinder (2) of the first printing unit can be set against a first impression cylinder (3) to apply a verso print, the rubber blanket cylinder (4) of the second printing unit can be set against a second impression cylinder (6) to apply a verso print and both impression cylinders (3, 6) are spaced apart for guiding the printed material web (7') through when verso and recto print are applied by the juxtaposed rubber blanket cylinders (2, 4).
