Abstract

A locking device for doors, windows or the like includes a fixed element in which a movable element is slidably mounted. The movable element is configured for locking against rotation the square-section spindle or handle-bar to which the handle controlling the opening and closing of the door or window is fitted. Mechanism are provided to immobilize the movable element relative to the fixed element in both the locked position and the unlocked position of the locking device. The movable element includes catches or lugs adapted to engage openings formed in the fixed element. This locking device is adapted to be fastened to the jamb of the movable frame of a door or window, and more particularly between the movable frame and the square-section spindle of handle-bar.

  • par deux ergots disposés sur chacun des bords longitudinaux de l'élément mobile et venant s'engager dans des lumières réalisées dans l'élément fixe, celui-ci comportant sur sa face dorsale des rainures situées, respectivement, dans le prolongement des lumières et dans lesquelles coulissent lesdits ergots de l'élément mobile ;
  • et par des éléments élastiques faisant saillie par rapport au fond des rainures dudit élément fixe et venant s'imbriquer faiblement dans des évidements de forme hémisphérique présents dans la face avant des ergots de l'élément mobile lorsque celui-ci est en position de blocage ou de déblocage du carré de manoeuvre ;

said pins ensuring, on the one hand, the assembly by simple fitting of the movable element in the fixed element through the slots and, on the other hand, the maintenance and guidance by the grooves of this movable element relative said fixed element.

    - and springy members projecting with respect to the bottom (40) of the grooves (23, 24, 25, 26) of said fixed member (4) and slightly imbricating into semispherically shaped recesses present in the front face (41) of the catches (17, 18) of the movable member (5) when this latter is in position for locking or unlocking the operating spindle (3),
    said catches (17, 18) ensuring, on the one hand, the assembling by a mere fitment, of the movable member (5) into the fixed member (4) through openings (19, 20, 21, 22) and, on the other hand, the holding and guiding in the grooves (23, 24, 25, 26) of said movable member (5) with respect to said fixed member (4).
  2. Locking device (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the springy members consist of organs made of plastic, metal or the like.
  3. Locking device (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the springy members consist of balls with a springy back motion.
