Description

(bekannt aus FR-A-2406571).The invention relates to a prismatic packaged goods container with two headboards which form the end walls, made of wood or fibreboard and edge strips, and an attached to the headboards, optionally two-part container jacket made of corrugated cardboard or the like (known from FR-A-2406571).

In packaged goods containers of this type known from practice, the edge strips are fastened directly to the outside of the plates of the head parts made of solid wood, plywood or wood fiber pressed material, the edge surfaces of the plates and the side surfaces of the edge strips being aligned. The container casing formed from corrugated cardboard or the like lies against these aligned surfaces, the casing end faces being arranged in one plane with the outer surfaces of the edge strips, so that these end faces of the container casing remain unprotected by the edge strips. The container jacket made of corrugated cardboard or the like is connected to the head parts by nails or wire clips. This construction now has several serious disadvantages:

By driving in the connecting elements, e.g. B. the wire chambers, wide-headed nails, or the like, the corrugated cardboard outer ceiling of the container jacket is damaged, which on the one hand weakens the connection in the area of the fastening elements, on the other hand, penetration of moisture into the then open shafts and subsequently a reduction in the load-bearing capacity of the container brings itself. In addition, the connecting elements penetrate parallel to the wood fiber in the case of solid wood panels or along the individual wood layers in the case of plywood panels, so that their durability is reduced from the outset, quite apart from the fact that the entire corrugated cardboard can tear out due to the punctiform load in the area of the connecting elements. In addition, the end faces of the container shell are unprotected, so moisture can also penetrate there, which, in conjunction with the inevitable transport stresses, can lead to the corrugated cardboard being split into individual layers of paper and thus to further damage or weakening of the container. If wire clips are used to connect the container casing to the edges of the head parts, one leg of which is driven into the plate of the head part and the other leg is driven into the edge strip in question, the thickness of the edge strips must be adapted to the web width of the clips, and it is not possible to use thinner edge strips in accordance with the possibly expected lower load, which unnecessarily increases the material requirements and the weight.

Another not insignificant disadvantage can also be seen in the fact that the containers, when they are sent empty, have a large freight volume and accordingly cause high freight costs. On the other hand, it would be desirable to have a packaged goods container that has sufficient strength and resilience, but can be assembled by the user himself from a few flat parts without having to use special tools or connecting means, so that it only takes up a small amount of freight as empties.

The invention is therefore based on the object of eliminating all the deficiencies mentioned and of creating a packaged goods container of the type described at the outset, which has increased strength with a reduced risk of damage and can be easily assembled from flat individual parts.

The invention achieves the object in that the edge strips are held by at least two spacer plates at a distance from the wood or wood fiber boards corresponding to the thickness of the cardboard and that the container casing has angled edge tabs which extend into the edge strips and the wood or wood fiber plates of the head parts can be inserted, the spaces in the direction of the edge strips being longer than the edge flaps in at least one lateral surface and the latter being able to be extended to the full length of the space by locking strips which can be inserted into the spaces.

Since the edge tabs of the container casing are only inserted into the free spaces between the edge strips and the wood or wood fiber boards of the head parts, the container can be easily assembled or transported in a disassembled state without special tools, whereby it only consists of flat parts, namely consists of the two head parts and the initially also flat and only to be bent container shell when assembled. Since the edge flaps have to perform a pivoting movement during assembly, their length must not correspond fully to the length of the spaces in the direction of the edge strips, because otherwise the edges of the spacer plates would prevent the edge flap edges from swiveling in. Therefore, the difference in length between the edge tab on the one hand and the gaps on the other hand is provided according to the invention, which enables the free pivoting of the edge tab during assembly. The inserted locking strips then fill the spaces delimited by the spacer plates, so that the pivoting movement of the edge tabs is prevented and the container is held together without additional fastenings being required. If, on the other hand, the locking strips are pulled out of the gaps, the container can be disassembled without being destroyed. Of course, the absence of nails, staples or other connecting means reduces the packaging weight and makes assembly easier, while the outer cover of the corrugated cardboard remains undamaged. There is also no weakening in the area of the connection points between the corrugated cardboard forming the container jacket and the head part. Nor are solid wood panels parallel to the fiber or barrier wooden panels penetrating along the wooden layers and therefore reduced in durability have fasteners. The thickness of the edge strips can be fully adapted to the expected loads, and there is no need for over-dimensioning. Finally, the sensitive open corrugated cardboard face is moved away from the end of the container at risk, so that the risk of damage otherwise occurring there is also eliminated. Finally, the marginal ridges are offset up to the outer surface of the container casing and thus provide real edge protection. The container jacket does not have to be made in one piece with all four jacket walls; it can also consist of a main part which results in three connected walls and an insertable supplementary part.

The packaged goods container according to the invention consists of two head parts 1 forming the end walls, only one of which is shown, and a correspondingly folded container jacket 2. The two head parts 1 are made from a wood or fibreboard 3 and edge strips 4, the edge strips 4 with the help are held by spacer plates 5 at a distance from the plate 3 which corresponds to the thickness of the corrugated cardboard or the like from which the container jacket 2 is made. The container jacket 2 has angled edge tabs 6, 6a. The length of the edge tabs 6 of the lower lateral surface corresponds to the spaces left by the spacer plates 5. In contrast, the spaces in the vertical lateral surfaces 2a are longer in the direction of the edge strips 4 than the edge tabs 6a. These shorter edge tabs 6a are then supplemented by insertable locking strips 7, 7a to the full length of the space, the locking strips 7 extending to both sides (FIG. 1), whereas, according to FIG. 4, shorter locking strips 7a are provided, the length of which corresponds to the width of the edge tabs 6a corresponds.

The container jacket 2 does not need to form all four walls, it could also consist of only three walls and can be supplemented by an attachable wall part, especially since the fully filled packaging containers are anyway enclosed in the usual manner with tensioning straps.
