Claims (9)

- when the object is uncoupled, these latches (36) - retaining the associated coupling element (31) in its uncoupled passive position - engage recesses (37) provided in the shell of the cylindrical recess (40), and in that
- when the object is coupled onto the preceding object, the flat key shank (34') of the coupling element (31') thereof enters the displaceable sliding cylinder (35) of the object which is to be coupled on in such a way that it releases the latches (36) from the recesses (37) and displaces the sliding cylinder (35) into a portion of the cylindrical recess (40) which is free from recesses where - in the now active position of the associated coupling element (31) - it is fixed by the latches (36).
2. A device according to Claim 1, characterised by, disposed in the coin receiving chamber, an ejector lever (3) which, when a coin (18) is inserted, slides against the action of an ejector spring (4) in such a way that finally it is fixed by a bolt (20) which is subject to the action of a bolt spring (21), the bolt (20) being so actuated by a detent (38) on the sliding rod (31) upon the object being coupled to the preceding object, that it again releases the ejector lever (3).
3. A device according to Claim 2, characterised in that guide rollers (11, 12) disposed on oscillating levers (7, 8) are disposed between an inlet plate (2) for receiving the coin (18) and the ejector lever (3), the oscillating levers (7, 8) in each case actuating a closing slide (16, 17) by which the longitudinal movement of the sliding rod (31) is locked.
4. A device according to Claim 3, characterised in that the closing sliders (16, 17) cooperate with a closing bar (22) which is subject to the action of a closing bar spring (23) and actuates a pivot lever (29) which in its vertical position which locks the object which is to be coupled, engages behind a step (1c') on the object which it is intended to couple (Figs. 1-4).
5. A device according to Claim 4, characterised in that the sliding rod (31) comprises a projection (33) by which the pivot lever (29) is maintained in its oblique position which releases the object to be coupled (Figs. 1-4).
6. A device according to Claim 4 or 5, characterised in that the ejector lever (3), via its ramp- like sloping surface, actuates a thrust spring biassed central bolt (25) for locking the closing bar (22) (Figs. 1 to 4).
7. A device according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that a clamping jaw (5) is provided which is subject to the action of a clamping jaw spring (6) and which retains the released coin (18) in a position suitable for withdrawal of the coin (Fig. 3).
8. A device according to Claim 3, characterised in that a gap (54) is provided with a special profile for the insertion of a key (55), the end of the gap (54) opening out into a recess (56) in the closing slider (16) in such a way that in the event of unintended locking of the device, locking of the sliding rod (31) by the closing slider (16) is removed by intervention of the key (55) into the recess (56) and movement of the closing slider (16) against the direction of bias of the closing slider spring (51).
9. A device according to Claim 3, characterised in that oscillating levers (7, 8) initially tensioned by retaining springs (9, 10) are articulatingly mounted by spindles (13) on a carrier (57) which supports in particular the inlet plate (22) and the ejector lever (3) and the ejector spring (4), the support (57) constituting an interchangeable assembly which is separably disposed in a recess (59) in the housing (1) of the device.
