Während die Wendelsteigung aE der Wendelenden E1, E2 im Bereich 1,2≤aE ≤1,7 liegt, ist der Wert für die Wendelsteigung aM des Wendelmittelteils M dem Bereich 1,4≤aM≤2,2 entnommen. Dabei kann die Wendelsteigung von den Wendelenden zur Wendelmitte hin entweder schrittweise oder kontinuierlich ansteigen.
