Abstract

A combined tool comprises three handle parts (10), (20 and 25) and (45), the parts (20 and 25) being on the one hand hammer parts and on the other hand parts increasing the torque during the screwing and unscrewing a screw. The lower part (40) constitutes a handle for the hammer parts (20 and 25) and a blade end part (45) for the handle (10).

Description

Combination tool
The present invention relates to a combination tool and more particularly to a tool of the kind which is defined in the preamble of claim 1. 5 At different tasks within various branches it often happens that one wants to use both a hammer and a screw driver for a certain job, e.g. mounting of cables. At mounting of certain rails and different objects which are to be affixed to walls and ceiling, a hammer is used for 10 beating a punch to make a hole or to affix a screw etc., and a screw driver to screw in a screw. This means that two tools are used, which in turn means purchases of two tools, need for storing space for two tools, two tools to keep in order and a complicated procedure at the different working 15 steps, in as much as two tools are being used.
To avoid these problems there have been proposed, e.g. . according to US-PS 2 435 556 and DE-OS 27 .12 471, combined tools which are both a hammer and a screw driver. However, these tools are expensive and elaborate. 20 The present invention has for its object to provide a combination tool which is inexpensive and easy to use.
To the just mentioned end the tool according to the present invention has been designed so as defined in principe in the characterizing clause of claim 1. 25 The invention will be disclosed in more details below within reference to the accompanying drawings.
The combination tool comprises an uppermost part (10) (Fig. 1) which constitutes the handle when the tools is used as a screw driver.' 30 When a better axessability is required the handle part •y may be releasable, which may be embodied in that the handle 'portion has a pin (30) or a hole (35), Fig. 2, which is combined with a hole (50) or a pin (55),* Fig. 2 , which in the lowermost handle portion (65) . The securement may be 35 made e.g. by means of a pin (60) which passes fully or partly through the portions (30) , (35) , (50) and (65) Fig. 3.
The side portions (20) and (25) have two tasks, in that they for one thing may be used as a hammer, whereii one portion (20) may be formed with a flat blowing surface and the other portion (25) may be formed with a round or elongated blowing surface. Of course, both portions (20) and (25) may be designed with the same shape. Both side portions (20) and (25) are made e.g. from blow-resistant plastic which may also be reinforced by steel plates, or may the side portions consist of a different material, e.g. steel. The side portions (20) and (25) may also be used as an additional aid in case a greater torque to screw out a screw is required.
The lowermost portion (40) is designed in such a manner that the shape is suitable as a shaft (handle) for the hammer portions (20) and (25) , which means that the screw driver portion, with the exception of the bit end, is surrounded by a suitable material, e.g. plastic material, which is also insulating.
