Abstract

The invention concerns a lock for doors or windows, with two latches each pivoting about a pivot pin being provided in the one component and of which the mutually facing ends in the locked position engage in mutually opposite directions an undercut surface of a locking bolt mounted on the other component, this locking bolt cross-sectionally being a wedge-shaped or conical tip by means of which the two latches can be forced apart against the opposing force of a spring, this lock being designed so that unauthorized forcible opening in the absence of a key is at least made appreciably more difficult. The invention calls for the two latches being translationally mobile sliders located in one plane and of which the pivot pins are mounted approximately at the longitudinal center of the particular latch, the outer surfaces of the latches on the sides away from the locking bolt being a distance away from an inside housing wall of the lock, and a lock block displaceable along the latches each being mounted in the channel so formed, where this lock block has a length which is less than the distance between each pivot pin and the latch end pointing toward the center, and where for the locked position, the lock blocks are located in the area of the outwardly pointing latch ends.

Description

The invention relates to a lock, in particular for doors or windows, in which two latches, each pivotable about an axis, are provided on one component, the mutually facing ends of which, in the closed state, engage behind an undercut surface of a locking bolt attached to the other component, the locking bolt in cross section has a wedge-shaped or conical tip with which the two traps can be pressed apart against spring force.

In a known lock of this type, the latches are arranged pivotably about a common axis, both latches being in the form of a two-armed lever, at one end of which the sections of the latches engaging behind the undercut surface of the locking bolt and at the other end of which the spring presses the latches against one another is arranged.

A disadvantage of this known arrangement is that the known lock can be opened relatively easily by external action, provided that a tool is inserted between the two traps which can be guided against one another in order to spread them apart. However, if the traps are spread apart, the door or window can be opened easily.

The invention is therefore based on the object to design a lock of the type mentioned in such a way that its unauthorized forced opening without a key is at least considerably more difficult.

This object is achieved in that the two latches are designed as translationally movable slides lying in a common plane, the pivot axes of which are arranged approximately in the longitudinal center of the respective latch, with the outer surfaces of the latches being at a distance from one another on the side facing away from the locking bolt have inner housing wall of the lock and in the channel formed in this way a locking block which can be moved in the alignment of the latches is arranged, the length of which is shorter than the distance from the respective pivot axis to the center-facing latch end, and in the locking position the locking blocks in the region of the outwardly pointing ends Traps lie.

With this arrangement it is achieved that by inserting the locking bolt between the two latches, these are pressed apart against the force of the springs acting on them and, after the locking bolt or the associated locking bolt section has passed through, return to their starting position and engage the undercut surface of the locking bolt, the rear now engaging Locking bolt is located in the channel between the outer surface of the latch and the inside of the housing, in which the locking blocks are located.

Depending on the respective position of the locking blocks, the lock is firmly locked in this position or it can be opened again by retracting the locking bolt. If the locking blocks are located beyond the respective pivot axes of the slider in the area of the longitudinal outside of the lock, then this position of the locking blocks supports the respective outer end of the latches against the inner wall of the housing, so that the latches cannot be pivoted outward about their pivot axis. Movement of the locking blocks inwards overruns the pivot axis of the latches, so that the outer ends of the latches are no longer supported and the latches can be pivoted in the opening direction. For the purpose of opening, the two locking blocks are therefore expediently displaceable inwards with a key or the like.

It is particularly advantageous if the translational movement and the rotary movement of the traps is made possible by the fact that an elongated hole is provided in the traps, which is penetrated by a pivot axis fixed to the housing and extends along the traps. Another possibility is to provide two elongated holes in reverse in two opposite housing surfaces and to connect the swivel axis to the latches. With this arrangement of intermediate rings or flanges or the like, the latch surfaces can be spaced apart from the surrounding housing walls, so that the friction during the latch movement is kept relatively low.

The two locking blocks are expediently provided with at least one projecting web or the like, which is directed against the housing walls lying at right angles to the pivot axes of the latches. Corresponding, the web-receiving, extending along the latch guide grooves are provided in the housing walls, so that the locking blocks maintain their position in relation to the housing when the latch is pivoted.

It is advantageous if the latches are provided on their side facing the locking bolt with bevels which open outwards in order to facilitate the entry of the locking bolt.

Any gear can be used to move the locking blocks, which causes two parts to move in opposite directions. For example, this movement can be brought about by using a pinion with toothed racks arranged on two opposite sides of the pinion or by an equilateral lever, on the two free ends of which the locking blocks acting on rods are articulated.

The spring can be applied via an intermediate wall, which in turn acts on the outer ends of the traps. This intermediate wall can be movable in mutually opposite guides of the lock housing, their inward movement being limited by the length of the guides, so that the latches can be pivoted out in a simple manner.

It is particularly advantageous if the lock is installed vertically in a door leaf. Of course, the installation of the lock according to the invention is also possible in the frame, if the circumstances allow it.

This means that unauthorized opening by inserting flexible tools or the like is particularly difficult because the latches must be pushed apart in a direction that is at right angles to the direction of insertion of the tool.

In the arrangement described above, pressing the latches apart against the force of the springs acting on them is theoretically still possible, but for the reasons mentioned above it is practically impossible to carry out.

In a further embodiment of the invention, however, it can also be provided that the latches are also locked in their translational direction in their closed position. For this purpose, a locking pin or the like which can be actuated together with the locking blocks and which can be snapped into the latches can be provided, which holds the latches in their translational closed position.

The locking blocks can also be displaced by electromagnetic means, for example by a slider being acted upon by two electromagnets acting in opposite directions, so that the locking blocks are moved toward or away from one another. This loading can take place according to the meaning of the object of the application by means of a key.

The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments in the drawing.

  • Fig. 11 is a section similar to Fig. 10 in another embodiment.

Zur Verdeutlichung ist das Schloß ohne die in Fig. 1 obere Gehäusewandung, also in offenem Zustand wiedergegeben.1 shows an embodiment of a lock 1 designed according to the invention. For clarification, the lock is shown without the upper housing wall in FIG. 1, that is to say in the open state.

The lock has two latches 3 and 4 arranged in a cuboid housing 2, which are located in a common plane and can be pivoted about pivot axes 5 and 6 which are fixedly connected to the housing. The pivot axes 5 and 6 pass through elongated holes 7 and 8 in the traps, so that the traps 3 and 4 can also be displaced translationally in the region of these elongated holes.

The traps 3 and 4 are pressed against one another by springs 9 and 10, and in the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, partition walls 11 and 12 can be provided between the springs 9 and 10 and the traps 3 and 4.

The latches have bevels 13 and 14 pointing outwards in the closing direction in order to facilitate the entry of a locking bolt 15 which is fastened to the other component 16 of the lock and can be inserted between the bevels 13 and 14 in the direction of arrow 17.

The locking bolt 15 has an undercut surface 18 which, after passing between the latches 3 and 4, is engaged by the latches 3 in the manner to be described.

On the side facing away from the locking bolt, the outer surfaces of the latches 3 and 4 are at a distance A from an inner housing wall 19 of the lock 1, a locking block 20 and 21 which can be displaced in the alignment of the latches 3 and 4 being arranged in the channel formed in this way Length L is shorter than the distance B of the respective pivot axis 5 and 6 from the trap end pointing towards the center.

(vgl. Fig. 6).In this way, when the locking blocks 20 and 21 are pushed inwards, the latches can swing out in the direction of the arrows 23 without being hindered by this locking movement by the locking blocks. (see Fig. 6).

To enable the locking bolt to enter, the housing 2 of the lock is provided with a lower housing slot 24 and a lateral housing slot 25, through which the latches according to FIG. 6 can also be swung out.

Figures 2 to 6 show different operating states of the lock according to the invention. 2 shows the locked state of the lock, two springs 9 and 10 being provided in the exemplary embodiment shown there, which act on the associated intermediate walls 11 and 12. 2, the locking blocks 20 and 21 are each pushed outwards, so that the outer ends of the latches 3 and 4 are supported against the locking blocks 20 and 21 and via these against the housing inner wall 19. A pivoting of the latches 3 and 4 about the associated pivot axes 5 and 6 is therefore not possible in the state shown in FIG. 2.

If the locking bolt 15 is pressed in the direction of arrow 17 against the bevels 13 and 14, the latches 3 and 4 are moved outwards in the direction of arrows 26 and 27 and the springs 9 and 10 are compressed, if so, as shown in FIG. 3 in the illustrated embodiment, compression springs are used. The locking blocks 20 and 21 remain in place so that the latches slide along the locking blocks 20 and 21.

In this position, too, the locking blocks 20 and 21 prevent the latches 3 and 4 from swinging out.

When the locking bolt 15 passes through again, the operating state according to FIG. 4 occurs; the latches 3 and 4 move against the direction of the arrows 26 and 27 according to FIG. 3 inwards again, so that they engage behind the undercut surface 18 of the locking bolt 15. At the same time, this operating state corresponds to the locking position according to FIG. 2, in which the outer ends of the latches 3 and 4 are supported by the locking blocks 20 and 21.

In the position of the locking blocks 20 and 21 according to FIGS. 2 to 4, the door can thus be closed but not opened again. Would the lock according to the invention, as already described, be installed vertically in a door leaf or in a frame, because the unauthorized opening of such a closed door is made considerably more difficult because the two latches must be spread apart against the direction of insertion of a tool. It is therefore usually sufficient if the two latches are held in their closed position only by the force of the springs 9 and 10.

Als zusätzliche Sicherung kann allerdings, wie in Fig. 4 schematisch angedeutet, in der Verriegelungslage nach den Figuren 2 und 4 jeweils ein Verriegelungsstift 28 od. dgl. vorgesehen sein, der in der Schließlage zum Einsatz kommt, beispielsweise eingeschwenkt wird, und die Fallen 3 und 4 in ihrer Schließlage hält.4, a locking pin 28 or the like can be provided in the locking position according to FIGS. 2 and 4, which is used in the closed position, for example, is pivoted in, and the latches 3 and holds 4 in their closed position.

Fig. 5 shows an operating state in which the locking position is released. For this purpose, the two locking blocks 20 and 21 are moved in the direction of arrows 29 and 30 inwards, so that their outer ends are outside the longitudinal position of the pivot axes 5 and 6. Thus, the outer ends of the latches 3 and 4 are released so that they can now pivot about the axes 5 and 6 when a pressure in the direction of arrow 31 is exerted on the central ends of the latches 3 and 4 by means of the locking bolt 15.

This pivoting movement in the direction of the arrows 23 about the pivot axes 5 and 6 is shown in FIG. 6. The locking bolt 15 thus pivots the latches 3 and 4 outwards in the manner shown in FIG. 6 and at the same time can pass outwards between their central ends.

To move the latches 3 and 4 back into their locking position according to FIG. 2, the locking blocks 20 and 21 are moved in the opposite direction, that is to say in the direction of the arrows 32 and 33, where they meet the rear ends of the latches 3 and 4 and move them into the locking position take along according to Fig. 2. In this position, the door or the window can be closed again by inserting the locking bolt 15 in the manner described.

Fig. 7 is a perspective view similar to Fig. 1, in which the locking blocks 20 and 21 are shown pulled out for clarity. Fig. 7 shows an embodiment for actuating the locking blocks. In this embodiment, toothed racks 34 and 35 are connected to the locking blocks 20 and 21, the toothings of which face one another and between which a pinion 36 is arranged.

A rotation of the pinion 36 thus causes a simultaneous action on both racks, so that, depending on the direction of rotation, the locking blocks 20 and 21 are moved towards or away from one another. Since the actuation of the locking blocks is the actual closing process, access to the pinion can be secured by a key 37, so that the pinion 36 can only be rotated with the aid of a key. The arrangement of Fig. 7 also has the advantage that it is largely self-locking.

Fig. 8 shows a top view of another embodiment for actuating the locking blocks 20 and 21. In this embodiment, the locking blocks 20 and 21 are fastened to rods 38 and 39, the free ends of which are articulated to an equilateral lever 40 which is pivotable about an axis 41 is. In this embodiment too, depending on the pivoting direction of the lever 40, the locking blocks 20 and 21 are moved towards or away from one another.

Beim dargestelltenFig. 9 is the section IX - IX of FIG. 1 and shows an embodiment for the locking blocks 20 and 21, which causes the locking blocks, for example, in the pivoted-out state of the traps 3 and 4 of FIG. 6 can not change their position. For this purpose, the locking blocks according to FIG. 9 are provided with at least one projecting web 42, which in a guide groove 43 of the associated Engages the housing wall, which extends along the traps. In the illustrated

In the exemplary embodiment, the guide groove 43 is located in the lower housing cover 44 according to FIGS. 1 and 7, which is therefore at right angles to the case axes 5 and 6. Corresponding grooves can also be provided in the upper housing cover 45, provided that the gear termination described allows this.

Fig. 10 is the section X - X of FIG. 7 and shows the embodiment shown in all previous figures, in which the axis 5 is fixedly connected to the housing covers 44 and 45, while an elongated hole 7 is in the cut case 3.

Fig. 11 zeigt die Umkehrung, bei welcher sich parallel zur Gehäusewandung 19 erstreckende Langlöcher 46 und 47 in der oberen und unteren Gehäuseabdeckung 44 und 45 befinden, wobei die Schwenkachse 5 ein Teil der Falle 3, also ortsfest mit dieser verbunden ist.11 shows the reversal, in which elongated holes 46 and 47, which extend parallel to the housing wall 19, are located in the upper and lower housing covers 44 and 45, the pivot axis 5 being part of the latch 3, that is to say fixedly connected to the latter.

To reduce friction between the surfaces of the traps 3 and 4 and the surrounding housing walls, spacer rings can be provided on the swivel axes or, as shown in FIG. 11, paragraphs 48, which keep the traps at a distance from the surrounding housing walls.
