Abstract

1. A wall column comprising a hollow sectional bar (1.1-1.4) of substantially square or rectangular cross-section and a one-piece or multi-piece covering device (10.1-10.4) mounted on the hollow sectional bar by snap-on engagement and provided with at least one stop or guide member (14) for wall and/or supporting elements, two side walls (4.1-4.4) of the hollow sectional bar located opposite one another being offset inwards relative to the surface line of the hollow sectional bar, which surface line is imagined as being continuously straight on each side, and edge beads (6.1-6.4) which lead continuously across into the surface of the two other side walls being integrally formed on the longitudinal side ends of the inwardly offset side walls (4.1-4.4), characterised in that covering device (10.1-10.4) grips in a closely fitting manner around both at least one part of the said two other side walls as well as around the edge beads (6.1-6.4) and at least one part of the inwardly offset side walls (4.1-4.4), with a supporting strip (13) which rests on the inwardly offset side walls (4.1-4.4) of the hollow sectional bar being present at the longitudinal edges of the one-piece or the parts of the multi-piece covering device, in that said stop or guide member (14) is integrally formed on at least one of the supporting strips 13 and extends outwardly at right-angles thereto, and in that clamping portions (12, 12') which are in snap-on engagement with the edge beads (6.1-6.4) of the hollow sectional bar (1.1-1.4) are integrally formed on both sides of flat sections (11, 11') of the covering device, which flat sections (11, 11') bear against the side walls which are not inwardly offset.

Description

The invention relates to a wall support with a cavity profile according to the preamble of claim 1.

Wall supports made of cavity profiles are already used in many forms. Such supports can be constructed from very differently structured, one-piece profile shapes. They are e.g. in applications for the creation of temporary room divisions or as supports in product display racks with openings designed to accommodate hanging links such as hooks or bolts, as well as partially covering cladding elements to improve the appearance.

Die FR-A-1603923 zeigt eine Säulen-Konstruktion für den Anschluss von Wandelementen an eine Hohlprofilsäule, welche dem Oberbegiff des Anspruchs 1 entspricht und bei welcher sich die Klemmelemente innerhalb eines durch Deckelemente begrenzten Raumes befinden und somit von aussen unsichtbar sind.FR-A-1603923 shows a column construction for the connection of wall elements to a hollow profile column, which corresponds to the preamble of claim 1 and in which the clamping elements are located within a space delimited by cover elements and are therefore invisible from the outside.

A special embodiment of a wall support with wall elements which can be fastened to the support profile rod by snap engagement can be found in CH-A-519065. The connecting elements are designed as one-piece end sections connected to the wall element, which completely cover the support profile. A snap-in engagement arrangement which also completely covers the wall support and is anchored in the wall elements to be connected is described in DE-A-2355 156.

In contrast to wall supports, which are completely covered by wall connection structures, those with cover elements that are visible on the column elements from the outside can easily achieve an additional decorative effect if their surface is provided with an appropriate paint application or otherwise treated.

The object to be achieved by the invention is to provide the cavity profiles, which are usually equipped with a standardized surface treatment, with a one-part or multi-part cover which can be fastened by snap or clamp engagement and which can be detachably placed on the cavity profile. In other words, a wall support is to be created which can be easily adapted to different decor requirements by means of clip-on cover elements with, for example, their own surface design (color, coating). In this case, the hollow profile should be able to be designed by an easily executable pressing or rolling process in such a way that a cover device which can also be produced by a simple pressing or rolling operation, also provided with a — preferably contrasting coating, can be attached to the hollow profile by a simple pressing-on process.

The achievement of this object according to the invention is defined by the characterizing features of patent claim 1; Embodiments thereof emerge from the dependent claims.

Darin zeigtAn embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing. It shows

1a is a wall support with a rectangular cavity or tubular profile bar as a base profile bar with a two-part cover and a one-sided guide member, in horizontal section, including a partial view for attaching the cover to the base profile bar,
  • 1 b the same wall support base profile bar as in Fig. 1a with a two-part cover and a two-sided guide member,
  • Fig. 2 is a wall support with an approximately square cavity or tubular profile rod and a two-part cover and a two-sided guide member, and
  • Fig. 3 is a wall support with a rectangular hollow or tubular profile bar and a one-piece cover and a one-sided guide member together with an illustration of a mounting type for the guide member on the base profile bar.

In the drawing, 1.1-1.4 denotes a base profile rod, and 2.1-2.4 each in one or in two opposite sides of the base profile rod 1.1-1.4, individual or paired hook-in openings for hooking in hook members 3.1-3.4 or the like of brackets or shown in broken lines Support elements 5.1-5.4, e.g. Support arms or truss clamps. The base profile rod 1.1-1.4 is preferably a square tube with a rectangular or square outline, the rod sides 4.1-4.4 containing the suspension openings 2.1-2.4 also referred to below as front and back surfaces, at least about half the profile wall thickness being offset inwards or backwards. Moving these rod sides in or out is expediently carried out by one or more rolling operations on a commercially available profile rod with four flat walls in such a way that a flat damming results. Edge beads 6.1-6.4 are created in the profile bar corners, the task of which will be explained later. The hanging openings 2.1-2.4 can be made either before or after the rolling operation on the profile bar.

The cut to the desired length and provided with the openings 2.1-2.4 and optionally also with (not shown) truss coupling openings in the flat side walls is then provided on its outer side surfaces with a color coating 7 made of baked enamel or epoxy resin, which coating also in the hanging openings and at most Extending existing further openings and completely covering their walls.

A single-part or multi-part strip-shaped formwork 10.1-10.4 covering a desired area of the basic profile rod is now applied to the base profile rod 1.1-1.4 thus prepared. Together on these formworks 10.1-10.4, in the assembled state, flat flat sections 11, 11 '(lying only in the left part of the figure 1a and 3) lying on the relevant side surfaces of the base profile bar 1.1-1.4 are bent, bent at the ends of these flat sections Clamping sections 12, 12 ', and flat support strips 13, 13' adjoining these clamping sections on the outside. The clamping parts 12, 12 'are intended to grip the edge beads 6.1-6.4 with spring preload. The support strips 13, 13 'define defined support areas of the cladding 10.1-10.4 on the recessed rod sides 4.1-4.4. The casings 10.1-10.4 can be provided with stop or guide members 14 for wall elements 15 and / or support elements 5.1-5.4, which connect to the outside of the support strips 13 at right angles.

The one-part or multi-part cladding 10.1-10.4 can consist of both metal and plastic, if they are made of metal, they are after production, e.g. After profiling by pressing or rolling, provide it with its own coating on the inside and outside, which can be a color epoxy resin application or a galvanically applied coating.

The wall support according to the invention is completed in two-part formwork by applying its support strips 13 to the edge beads 6.1-6.3, as shown in FIG. 1a a. The central flat section 11 is advantageously bent slightly inwards in the unassembled state of the casing. By pressing the clamping parts 12 against the edge beads 6.1-6.3, the casings according to FIGS. 1a, 1 b and 2 are pushed onto the basic profile rod 1.1-1.3 in such a way that snap connections result in the corner regions of the wall support. The formwork parts are held tight on the profile rod 1.1-1.3. The flat section 11 lies under slight prestress against the flat profile rod side, as does the support strip 13 against the front and rear profile rod surfaces 4.1-4.3. The stop or guide members 14 bent at right angles to the support strips 13 project in planes parallel to the center plane of the wall support, which bisects the front and back surfaces.

In the case of the one-piece casing 10.4 according to FIG. 3, where the support strip 13 'is designed as a continuous connection between the flat sections 11', the front clamping parts 12 'are spread open and the casing 10.4 is pushed over the base profile bar 1.4. When the front clamping parts 12 'have applied to the profile bar 1.4 after pressing inwards against the edge bead 6.4, the flat support strip 13' with the adjacent rear bar side 4.4 and the two flat sections 11 'with the profile bar side surfaces are also in prestressing pressure.

In view of the fact that in the case of one-piece formwork 10.4, the snap engagement of the front clamping parts 12 'can be weakened as a result of the spread when the formwork is pushed onto the rod profile, it is expedient to have a U-shaped clamp member encompassing the stop or guide members 14 at least on one end of the support 16 to attach. The clip member 16 can be used as a clasp-like element or as e.g. Be designed over the entire length of the column continuous channel, which holds the stop and guide members 14 together.

It goes without saying that not only in the case of one-piece formwork, but also in the two-part formwork according to FIGS. 1a, 1b and 2, the groove-shaped openings formed by the distances between adjacent stop or guide members 14 are secured by agraffenike elements 16 or cover channels or can be covered.

A wall column comprising a hollow sectional bar (1.1 - 1.4) of substantially square or rectangular crosssection and a one-piece or multi-piece covering device (10.1 - 10.4) mounted on the hollow sectional bar by snapon engagement and provided with at least one stop or guide member (14) for wall and/or supporting elements, two side walls (4.1 - 4.4) of the hollow sectional bar located opposite one another being offset inwards relative to the surface line of the hollow sectional bar, which surface line is imagined as being continuously straight on each side, and edge beads (6.1 - 6.4) which lead continuously across into the surface of the two other side walls being integrally formed on the longitudinal side ends of the inwardly offset side walls (4.1 - 4.4), characterised in that the covering device (10.1 - 10.4) grips in a closely fitting manner around both at least one part of the said two other side walls as well as around the edge beads (6.1 - 6.4) and at least one part of the inwardly offset side walls (4.1 - 4.4), with a supporting strip (13) which rests on the inwardly offset side walls (4.1 - 4.4) of the hollow sectional bar being present at the longitudinal edges of the one-piece or the parts of the multi-piece covering device, in that said stop or guide member (14) is integrally formed on at least one of the supporting strips 13 and extends outwardly at right-angles thereto, and in that clamping portions (12, 12') which are in snap-on engagement with the edge beads (6.1 - 6.4) of the hollow sectional bar (1.1 - 1.4) are integrally formed on both sides of flat sections (11,11') of the covering device, which flat sections (11, 11') bear against the side walls which are not inwardly offset.
2. A wall column according to claim 1, characterised in that the covering device consists of two identically formed halves which are symmetrically mounted on the hollow sectional bar (1.1 - 1.4).
3. A wall column according to claim 1, characterised in that the covering device (10.4) is formed in one piece as a longitudinally symmetric element having two central flat sections (11') connected to one another via clamping portions (12') bent over the edge beads (6.4) of the hollow sectional bar (1.4) and via a supporting strip (13') which extends over the entire width of an inwardly offset side wall (4.4).
4. A wall column according to claim 3, characterised in that the stop or guide members (14) are mutually secured by means of a U-shaped clip member (16).
5. A wall column according to claim 1, characterised in that the outer surfaces of the hollow sectional bar (1.1 - 1.4) are provided with a complete coating of paint.
6. A wall column according to claim 1 or 5, characterised in that the covering device is provided inside and outside with a protective paint coating or a metal coating.
