Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Doppelstranggießanlage mit zwei nebeneinander angeordneten Durchlaufkokillen, welche Breitseitenwände und auf verschiedene Strangdimensionen einstellbare Schmalseitenwände aufweisen, wobei unterhalb und fluchtend mit den Schmalseitenwänden der Kokillen Seitenführungsrollen vorgesehen sind.The invention relates to a double-strand caster with two continuous molds arranged next to one another, which have broad side walls and narrow side walls which can be adjusted to different strand dimensions, lateral guide rollers being provided below and in alignment with the narrow side walls of the molds.

Es sind Doppelstranggießanlagen dieser Art bekannt, bei denen neben den Breitseitenwänden auch jede der Schmalseitenwände verstellbar ist; insgesamt also vier Breitseiten- und vier Schmalseitenverstellmechanismen erfor--derlich sind. Außerdem sind für die unterhalb der Schmalseitenkokillenwände und mit diesen fluchtend angeordneten Seitenführungsrollen weitere Verstellmechanismen, insgesamt vier, erforderlich. Um diese unteren Verstellmechanismen betätigen zu können, muß ein entsprechender Raum zwischen den Kokillen freigehalten werden, welcher Raum unerwünscht ist, weil er den Strangabstand in Brammenbreitenrichtung vergrößert. Auch vom metallurgischen Gesichtspunkt sind Nachteile gegeben, weil der Stahl im Zwischengefäß vor dem Einlauf in die Kokille einen längeren Weg zurücklegen muß. Dementsprechend ist auch ein größer dimensionierter Verteiler erforderlich, dessen Herstellung und dessen Ausmauerungskosten die Anlage verteuern. Zum Stand der Technik gehören auch Stranggießanlagen mit der Möglichkeit, mehrere Stränge mit nur einer Kokille zu gießen (AT-PS 233 187), wobei zwischen die Breitseitenwände der Kokille eine oder zwei Trennwände eingesetzt werden und die gebildeten Durchlaufhohlräume von einem Verteiler aus beschickt werden. Bei solchen Anlagen bildet jedoch die Kokille mit den zugehörigen Verstelleinrichtungen und Seitenführungsrollen eine einzige Baueinheit. Die nebeneinanderliegenden Durchlaufhohlräume der Kokille können nicht unabhängig voneinander verstellt und betrieben werden. Die Kokille ist an einen einzigen Oszillationsantrieb angeschlossen.
