Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for packaging merchandise containers or the like.
- the merchandise container is provided with a peripheral wall of corrugated cardboard, cardboard or the like that essentially surrounds its entire vertical circumferential surface and a packing base, and also a bulk packaging with the possibility of being used as a sales package for merchandise containers or The like.
- the peripheral surface of the goods substantially completely surrounding closed peripheral wall and a packing base made of cardboard, corrugated cardboard or the like., In particular for performing this method.
- the previously known bulk packaging usually consist of rectangular boxes closed on six sides, which can be converted into the desired sales packaging by cutting open with a cardboard knife or by tearing open perforations or finally tearing off tear strips. Falling or shifting of the individual packs on the sales shelf is prevented by remaining remnants of the cardboard side walls.
- the perforations of the known bulk packaging of the type described are, however, often very difficult to tear open, so that the dealer usually grabs the cardboard knife in order to separate the cardboard more quickly, but the internal goods, that is to say the individual packs, can often be damaged.
- the easier-to-use tear strips are expensive to manufacture and attach and are therefore not used on a larger scale.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a method and a bulk packaging of the type mentioned at the outset which enable cheaper packaging than by means of the previously known six-sided closed cartons, faster handling and easy-to-remove waste, but also a reliable transport , good manageability and good security against falling over of the goods or individual packs during transport and stacking in the self-service shop or the like are guaranteed.
- This object is achieved in a method of the generic type in that the goods container is first surrounded with a first peripheral wall tightly enclosing at least part of its essentially vertical peripheral surface; and that thereupon at least part of the first peripheral wall is tightly enclosed by a second peripheral wall, one of the two separately formed peripheral walls tightly enclosing the entire peripheral surface of the goods container or the like and the other peripheral wall, only a lower edge portion of the peripheral surface of the goods container or the like. surrounding, as a circumferential peripheral edge of a box lid-like, tray-like bottom part is formed.
- the collective packaging according to the invention of the generic type is characterized in that the peripheral wall, open at the top and bottom, is designed as a component separate from the packing base; that the package base is part of a tray-like base part consisting of it and a circumferential peripheral edge; and that both the peripheral wall and the peripheral edge of the bottom part tightly enclose the vertical peripheral surface of the goods container or the peripheral wall.
- the collective packaging according to the invention Since the collective packaging according to the invention has only five wall sections, it enables considerable material savings compared to the previously usual type of packaging, in which the cardboard boxes with tab bonding compared to the collective packaging according to the invention give rise to up to 40% higher packaging material costs, because a great deal of material is used when punching the tab blanks is wasted.
- the smooth tray bottom of the bottom part is a good transportation option in the inventive collection package since no protruding tabs and the sharply cut, senkrechttehende environmental 'peripheral wall a higher stacking stability during transport than in ordinary cardboard boxes possible.
- the peripheral wall can be easily folded and therefore results in a space-saving and inexpensive waste at the point of use as soon as the peripheral wall is separated from the tray-like bottom.
- the collective packaging according to the invention can be easily handled and stacked as a result of the tight interference fit of the peripheral wall on the one hand and the peripheral edge of the bottom part on the other hand, as long as essentially horizontally acting compressive forces are exerted on the peripheral wall while on the ver a simple pulling off of the circumferential wall by vertically applied tensile forces is possible, whereupon the goods or individual packs in the tray-like base parts can then be presented secured against lateral displacement.
- An embodiment is particularly advantageous in which the goods container itself is directly and tightly surrounded by the peripheral wall, while the peripheral edge of the bottom part only firmly surrounds the lower edge portion of the peripheral wall, because then when the peripheral wall is pulled off, a certain amount within the peripheral edge around the goods container There is scope which makes it easier for customers to remove the first individual packs from the tray-like base part.
- the packaging method according to the invention is carried out as follows: First, the product container 10, consisting of a number of individual packs, is compressed into a tight package and then surrounded by the peripheral wall 12, it being important that the peripheral wall 12 tightly and tightly, that is, the product container frictionally, surrounds. After the collective packaging has been brought into this packaging state, particularly as shown in FIG. 2, the tray-like base part 20 is applied by pushing the peripheral edge 24 onto the peripheral wall 12 from below. Here too, a tight, frictional connection of the peripheral edge 24 to the peripheral wall 12 is ensured. This process can be carried out quickly and without a variety of adhesive processes, as is the case with the packaging processes known to date.
- the collective packaging completed in this way can be without Handle difficulties, namely by applying either vertical, upward forces to the underside of the bottom part 20, i.e. in the direction of the arrow 14 shown in Figure 4 below, or by applying horizontal compressive forces on the peripheral wall 12, as in Figure 4 by the arrows 14 shown horizontally on the left and right are indicated.
- the static friction between the merchandise container 10 and the peripheral wall 12 on the one hand and between the peripheral wall 12 and the peripheral edge 24 of the bottom part 20 on the other hand holds the entire arrangement together, so that perfect transport is ensured.
- essentially vertical tensile forces are exerted on the peripheral wall 12 in the direction of the arrows 16 in FIG.
- the individual packs or goods remain on the tray-like base part 20 and can thus be presented to the customer.
- price or manufacturer information can be attached in a cost-effective and simple manner, which is useful when selling could be.
- the individual packs are loosely seated at a distance corresponding to the thickness of the peripheral wall 12 from the peripheral edge 24 of the tray-like base part 20, so that the customer can also remove the first individual packs without difficulty, but nevertheless the individual packs prevent them from falling over , Move or the like. Are secured.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for packaging merchandise containers or the like., In which the merchandise container is provided with a peripheral wall of corrugated cardboard, cardboard or the like that essentially surrounds its entire vertical circumferential surface and a packing base, and also a bulk packaging with the possibility of being used as a sales package for merchandise containers or The like., With a substantially vertical, the peripheral surface of the goods substantially completely surrounding closed peripheral wall and a packing base made of cardboard, corrugated cardboard or the like., In particular for performing this method.
Collective packaging serves to protect and hold together goods, for example consisting of tin cans, boxes or the like, during transport. For reasons of rationalization, it has become natural, especially in self-service shops, the aforementioned goods directly from the To sell bulk packaging in which they are delivered or to offer them in bulk packaging, which of course has to be torn open or cut open in order to enable the customer to view the goods and in particular to access them. The use of bulk packaging, which is also suitable as shop packaging in the manner described above, enables performance increases of 300 to 400% in the work area “filling up” self-service stores or the like, that is to say goods being refilled into empty spaces. Large superstructures with sales packaging are also very time-saving compared to the traditional shelf construction and can also be manufactured much more stably using combined bulk and sales packaging than when stacking individual packs freely. The stacking of unsold goods and the return transport to the warehouse are associated with significantly less work and costs.
The previously known bulk packaging usually consist of rectangular boxes closed on six sides, which can be converted into the desired sales packaging by cutting open with a cardboard knife or by tearing open perforations or finally tearing off tear strips. Falling or shifting of the individual packs on the sales shelf is prevented by remaining remnants of the cardboard side walls. The perforations of the known bulk packaging of the type described are, however, often very difficult to tear open, so that the dealer usually grabs the cardboard knife in order to separate the cardboard more quickly, but the internal goods, that is to say the individual packs, can often be damaged. The easier-to-use tear strips are expensive to manufacture and attach and are therefore not used on a larger scale. Another disadvantage of the known bulk packaging is that The usual flap gluing of the boxes closed on six sides creates torsion-resistant bulk packaging that is easy to transport, but there are relatively high packaging material costs. The cartons themselves deliver very bulky waste material when they are cut or cut open at the place of use, as they are difficult to fold together due to the flap bonding. Because the cardboard boxes of the well-known general store packaging also sit tightly around the goods, the customer has difficulty removing the first packs from the separated cardboard boxes used as sales packaging.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a method and a bulk packaging of the type mentioned at the outset which enable cheaper packaging than by means of the previously known six-sided closed cartons, faster handling and easy-to-remove waste, but also a reliable transport , good manageability and good security against falling over of the goods or individual packs during transport and stacking in the self-service shop or the like are guaranteed.
This object is achieved in a method of the generic type in that the goods container is first surrounded with a first peripheral wall tightly enclosing at least part of its essentially vertical peripheral surface; and that thereupon at least part of the first peripheral wall is tightly enclosed by a second peripheral wall, one of the two separately formed peripheral walls tightly enclosing the entire peripheral surface of the goods container or the like and the other peripheral wall, only a lower edge portion of the peripheral surface of the goods container or the like. surrounding, as a circumferential peripheral edge of a box lid-like, tray-like bottom part is formed.
The collective packaging according to the invention of the generic type, on the other hand, is characterized in that the peripheral wall, open at the top and bottom, is designed as a component separate from the packing base; that the package base is part of a tray-like base part consisting of it and a circumferential peripheral edge; and that both the peripheral wall and the peripheral edge of the bottom part tightly enclose the vertical peripheral surface of the goods container or the peripheral wall.
Since the collective packaging according to the invention has only five wall sections, it enables considerable material savings compared to the previously usual type of packaging, in which the cardboard boxes with tab bonding compared to the collective packaging according to the invention give rise to up to 40% higher packaging material costs, because a great deal of material is used when punching the tab blanks is wasted. The smooth tray bottom of the bottom part is a good transportation option in the inventive collection package since no protruding tabs and the sharply cut, senkrechttehende environmental 'peripheral wall a higher stacking stability during transport than in ordinary cardboard boxes possible. In addition, the peripheral wall can be easily folded and therefore results in a space-saving and inexpensive waste at the point of use as soon as the peripheral wall is separated from the tray-like bottom. It is particularly advantageous that the collective packaging according to the invention can be easily handled and stacked as a result of the tight interference fit of the peripheral wall on the one hand and the peripheral edge of the bottom part on the other hand, as long as essentially horizontally acting compressive forces are exerted on the peripheral wall while on the ver a simple pulling off of the circumferential wall by vertically applied tensile forces is possible, whereupon the goods or individual packs in the tray-like base parts can then be presented secured against lateral displacement.
Particularly preferred embodiments of the method or the bulk packaging according to the invention result from the subclaims. An embodiment is particularly advantageous in which the goods container itself is directly and tightly surrounded by the peripheral wall, while the peripheral edge of the bottom part only firmly surrounds the lower edge portion of the peripheral wall, because then when the peripheral wall is pulled off, a certain amount within the peripheral edge around the goods container There is scope which makes it easier for customers to remove the first individual packs from the tray-like base part.

The packaging method according to the invention is carried out as follows: First, the
After the
The features of the invention disclosed in the above description, in the drawing and in the claims can be essential both individually and in any combination for realizing the invention in its various embodiments.
