Description

The invention relates to a sealing strip for the air gap between the underside of the door and the floor of buildings or rooms and thus prevents dust as well as heat leakage, that is to say energy losses.

Known sealing strips of this type generally consist of a brush body fastened in the lower region of the door leaf in the form of a plastic profile with a row or strip of bristles inserted into the bottom row of bristles, the individual bristles being gripped in a metal strip and inserted into the plastic profile with it are; the latter also has screw holes for attachment to the door leaf.

With such strips, not only is the separation and exact adaptation of these plastic-metal composite materials and the respective door leaf widths difficult and cumbersome, but it is also not achieved by screwing on a consistently tight system on the door leaf and the latter is also damaged.

Here, the invention, as characterized in the claims, seeks to remedy this problem and achieves this by providing a profile body, preferably made of plastic, which, in its basic cross-sectional shape, roughly forms an isosceles triangle, for example a right-angled triangle, the longer catheter of which is attached to the door leaf by means of an adhesive tape and the shorter one is provided with inserted individual bristle bundles, the individual bristle bundles advantageously also lying in two parallel rows and each with a gap between them are punched into holes or similar recesses in the plastic profile.

Slight cutting of this plastic profile, e.g. with a knife, which is further facilitated by the fact that the interior of the plastic profile has a continuous cavity of identical cross-sectional shape, a tight fit of the strip on the door leaf without damage to it and optimal sealing by the bristle bundles standing on a gap, are the advantages achieved thereby.

In its basic cross-sectional shape, the plastic profile 1 shown is an isosceles, approximately right-angled triangle with a cavity 2, preferably of approximately the same shape. The longer of the cathets 1a carries an adhesive tape 3, with cover strips 4, after removal of which the strip 1 can be attached to the door leaf 9 indicated by dash-dotted lines. In the shorter of the two cathets 1b, individual bristle bundles 6 are punched or punched into holes 5 or similar recesses, which are in two parallel rows 7 to each other, extend to the bottom 8 and thus completely seal the lower door gap "s". With this design and arrangement, it is also given optically and functionally that the hypotenuse of the approximately triangular profile cross-section runs asymptotically from below to the door leaf 9 and thus forms a smooth transition there.

1. Sealing strip for the air gap between the underside of the door and the floor of buildings or rooms, consisting of a brush body fastened in the lower region of the door leaf in the form of a plastic profile with a row of strips or strips of bristles inserted down to the floor,

that the plastic profile (1) in its basic cross-sectional shape roughly forms an isosceles, preferably right-angled triangle, the longer catheter (1a) of which is attached to the door leaf (9) by means of an adhesive tape (3) and the shorter one (1b) with inserted individual bristle bundles (6 ) is provided. 2. Sealing strip according to claim 1, in which the individual bristle bundles (6) in two parallel rows (7) and each lying on a gap in holes or similar recesses (5) of the plastic profile (1) are punched. 3. Sealing strip according to claim 1 and 2, wherein the interior of the plastic profile (1) has a continuous cavity (2) of identical cross-sectional shape.
