Abstract

1. Window bar of a bar window with insulating double glazing, having a continuous holding rail (3) made of hard material, inner and outer bar strips (1, 2), each being connected releasably to the respective ends of said holding rail, these ends each having a projection extending in a transverse direction, characterised in that the bar strips (1, 2) are made of rigid material, preferably wood, the holding rail (3) has a double-T-profile, one flange being wider than the other, the wider flange has, on both sides of the web, holes for fastening-screws (5) which are screwed from inside into the associated outer bar strip (1), and recesses for the engagement of releasable connecting means for the inner bar strip (2) are provided in the region of the narrower flange.
