Description

The invention relates to a connecting element for plates, which are held with their side edges in U-shaped mounting brackets, each consisting of two mutually parallel walls and a spacing connecting web and can be put together to form a knot with which several plates form a spatial Formations can be assembled, with each receiving bracket being assigned parallel hinge sleeves, the axial length of which corresponds to a fraction of the height of the walls measured in the direction of the connecting bar and which can be assembled in alignment with at least one further hinge sleeve of another receiving bracket via a fastening bolt forming the hinge axis .

Derartige Verbindungselemente sind bekannt (DE-A 21 63 994). A 357 535).Such connecting elements are known (DE-A 21 63 994). In these designs, the mounting brackets are either assembled together via two hinge sleeves that mesh with one another in a tooth-like manner, so that the outer dimensions of the mounting brackets are aligned. However, such a design enables the attachment of a third or fourth mounting bracket, only in such a way that it is offset from the others in the axial direction of the hinge. This is not desirable for optical reasons, but also partly because of the stable assembly of panels. The disadvantage described also applies to similar types, where there are no separately protruding hinge sleeves, but rather holes in the end areas of the mounting brackets, so that these are only to be joined offset by their height anyway (see also. CH-A 357 535).

The invention is therefore based on the object to form a connecting element of the type mentioned in such a way that plates can optionally be arranged at different angles to one another and can be kept stable and in the assembled state the top and bottom edges of the walls of the individual mounting brackets always in one plane lie.

The invention consists in a connecting element of the type mentioned in the introduction that each receiving clip is assigned to only one hinge sleeve, which is in each case offset by the amount corresponding to its axial length in the direction of the hinge axis to the hinge sleeve of the other receiving clip on the connecting web and that an axial space created during assembly between the hinge sleeves is bridged by an inserted intermediate sleeve, the dimensions of which correspond to those of the hinge sleeves.

This configuration results in an elegant and compact connecting element that takes up little space. The number of mounting brackets to be assembled to form the connecting element does not depend on the number of hinge sleeves that result over the full height of the walls. It can therefore, without the upper and lower edges of the walls at different heights, only two, three or even more mounting brackets can be connected to one another, although the full height of the walls would only be compensated for by joining together such a number of hinge sleeves, the Total height corresponds to the full height of the walls. The non-existing hinge sleeves of mounting clips are replaced by the intermediate sleeves.

It is also advantageous if the hinge sleeves are provided with front teeth at least on one of their end faces, which engage in one another by axially placing the hinge sleeves and / or the intermediate sleeves against one another and thus fix the angular position once set. In practice it has proven sufficient and advantageous if the axial length of the hinge sleeves corresponds to approximately a quarter of the height of the walls of the mounting brackets and if at least two types of mounting brackets are provided, one of which has one end face with the outer edge of the walls aligned hinge sleeve and the other is provided with a hinge sleeve with one end face in a running in the middle of the connecting web and perpendicular to the hinge axis of symmetry plane. This configuration allows the optional assembly of up to four mounting brackets using only two types of mounting brackets, with all wall pairs in the assembled state lying in a common plane with their upper and lower edges.

Since in this embodiment a fastening bolt must be used, to which at least one nut is assigned, certain inconveniences can arise when assembling the individual mounting clips. It is therefore also very advantageous to form as a fastening bolt a screw which runs through all the hinge sleeves and is held in a thread of one of the hinge sleeves aligned with the outer edges of the walls and which is provided with a countersunk head and a hexagon socket. A part of the mounting brackets with hinge sleeves, the end faces of which are flush with the outer edges of the walls, must then be provided with conical recesses on the hinge sleeves for receiving the countersunk heads, while another part has the thread inside the hinge sleeve. In this embodiment, therefore, at least three types of mounting brackets are required. However, it has been shown that the simplification that can be achieved in this way when assembling pays off the additional manufacturing effort.

Finally, all mounting brackets can have holes in their walls for inserting fastening screws for the plates, which have the advantage that the plates, which then have to be provided with holes at the appropriate locations, are partially form-fitting by the inserted screws and friction-fitting by the Walls are held against each other by means of screws. In Fig. 1, a connecting element is shown, which is composed of two mounting brackets 1 and 2, each serving to receive the side edges of plates, not shown, which are pushed in with the side edges between the two walls 3 and 4 of the mounting brackets 1 and 2 until the side edges abut the connecting web 5 of the two walls 3 and 4. It is then inserted in a manner not shown, a fastening screw with a countersunk head into the conical recess 6 of the wall 3 provided for this purpose, which engages through a corresponding bore in the plate and engages in the opposite wall 4 in a thread 7, which also on the Receiving clip 4 is provided in the same way and can be seen in Fig. 1. After tightening the screw, not shown, the plate is firmly seated, both positively and frictionally between the walls 3 and 4.

The two walls 3 and 4 of each mounting bracket 1 and 2 are kept at a distance from one another by a connecting web 5 and connected to one another, which extends over the entire height h of the walls 3, 4 and from which a somewhat reinforced wall part 3a or 4a extends to the holes 8 in the walls 3 and 4. The wall thickness of the walls 3 and 4 decreases slightly from this area indicated by the dividing lines 9 to the rounded outer end of the walls 3 and 4. The result is an aesthetic shape.

The stability is not impaired since the greatest forces are to be expected in the area between the connecting web 5 and the dividing lines 9. Parallel to the connecting webs 5 of the two mounting brackets 1 and 2 are provided in one piece and in each case running out of alignment with the wall surfaces approaches 10 which form hinge sleeves 12 for a common fastening bolt, which in the embodiment shown is a screw with the countersunk head 13 and a hexagon socket 14 visible above . 6, it will be explained in what manner the screw 120 holds the mounting clips 1 and 2 or 1, 2 and 15 of FIG. 2 or the mounting clips 1, 2, 15 and 16 of FIG. 3 together.

Diese Zwischenhülsen 20 weisen eine glatte Durchgangsbohrung auf und dienen dazu, den axialen Abstand auszufüllen, der sonst beim Zusammenfügen von drei oder weniger Aufnahmeklammern zwischen der oben liegenden Scharnierhülse 12 mit der konischen Ausnehmung 19a und der untersten Scharnierhülse 12' der Aufnahmeklammer 2 verbleiben würde.4 and 5, the receiving bracket provided with the reference number 1 in the exemplary embodiments of FIGS. 1 to 3 is shown and it can be seen that the two walls 3 and 4 run parallel to one another and that they are held together by the connecting web are. The hinge sleeve is formed by the extension 10, which has an end face 12a aligned with the upper edge 3a at the receiving clip 1 and has a height h ', which together with half the height a / 2, the downward-facing end toothing 17 a quarter of the Height h of the wall 3 corresponds. The front toothing 17 is produced in a known manner as a toothing formed with trapezoidal teeth, which in the exemplary embodiment has 16 teeth which are sufficient to, in practice, make any desired angle adjustment between the central plane 18 of the walls 3 and 4 of a mounting bracket 1 with respect to a second or third To allow mounting bracket 3 or 15, 16. The projection 10 of the mounting bracket 1, as indicated by dashed lines, is provided with a through bore 19 and a conical depression 19a, which makes it possible to receive the screws 120 shown in FIG. 6 with their countersunk head 13. Figure 6 shows that in addition to the hinge sleeves 12 of the individual mounting brackets 1, 2 and 15 in a connecting element consisting of three or fewer mounting brackets, as shown for example in FIGS. 2 and 1, intermediate sleeves 20 are also provided, which are on both End faces are provided with end teeth 17 corresponding to those of the mounting bracket 1. These intermediate sleeves 20 have a smooth through hole and serve to fill the axial distance that would otherwise remain when three or fewer mounting clips are joined between the hinge sleeve 12 located above with the conical recess 19a and the bottom hinge sleeve 12 'of the mounting clip 2.

Sie ersetzt daher beim Zusammenfügen jeweils eine Aufnahmeklammer, wenn nicht, so wie in Fig. 3 gezeigt, vier Aufnahmeklammern zu einem Verbindungselement vereint werden sollen.6 also shows that the lowermost hinge sleeve 12 'of the mounting bracket 2 is provided with a thread 21 instead of a smooth through hole, which serves to screw in the threaded end 22 of the screw 120. The receiving clip 2 in turn has an extension 10 which is provided with end teeth 17 on one side only, while its other end side 12a is aligned with the lower edge of the wall 4. The third mounting bracket 15 of FIG. 6 also has a shoulder 10 with a hinge sleeve 12 b which is designed as a smooth through-hole - similar to the intermediate sleeve 20 - and here too both end faces of this hinge sleeve or the shoulder 10 are each with end teeth 17 Mistake. While the hinge sleeves 12 and 12 'of the mounting bracket 1 and 2 are each aligned with one side 12a with the outer edge of the associated wall, the hinge sleeves 12b of the mounting bracket 15 or the analog trained mounting bracket 16, each offset by the amount h '+ a / 2 relative to the associated lower edge 3a' of the mounting bracket 15 in the direction of the hinge axis 23, so that when assembled, the sequence of the uppermost hinge sleeve 12 of the mounting bracket 1 shown in FIG. 2 , the intermediate sleeve 20 underneath and the hinge sleeve 12b, which is connected underneath and via the toothing to the overlying sleeve in a rotationally fixed manner, which in turn is finally held in a rotationally fixed manner on the hinge sleeve 12 'of the receiving clip 2. The intermediate sleeve has the same outer dimensions and the same height as the hinge sleeves 12 ', 12b, 12 in the approaches 10. It therefore replaces one mounting bracket when assembling, if not, as shown in FIG. 3, four mounting clips are to be combined to form a connecting element.

From Fig. 6 it is clear that if it is possible to dispense with the use of a screw 120 with a countersunk head 13, the mounting brackets 1 and 2 can be of the same design and can only have a smooth through hole in the hinge sleeve, as in the case of the mounting bracket 15 or 16 is the case. It would then be necessary to use a continuous screw, the head of which could also be countersunk, but which would have to be closed on the other side by a nut, which in turn could be arranged in the countersink intended for the screw head. However, the illustrated embodiment has the advantage that only one screw has to be used, so that assembly is easier. In addition to the two mounting brackets 1 and 2, it is also possible to design the mounting brackets 15 and 16 differently with regard to the arrangement of the hinge sleeves 12b, namely when it is important that the countersunk head, the fastening screws to be inserted into the openings 8, respectively the same side. If this is not necessary, the mounting bracket 15 can be swiveled by 180 ° with respect to the position shown in FIG. 6, so that the associated hinge sleeve 12b is axially shifted upwards by the amount h '+ a / 2 and then the position of the 6 to take to the connector shown in FIG. 3 with four receiving clips. In such an embodiment, the mounting brackets 15 and 16 would be identical, but rotated against each other and against the hinge axis 23 by 180 °.
