Es ist ersichtlich, daß durch entsprechendes Verdrehen der am Lenkerteil 24 axialfest zugeordneten Gewindehülse 30 der Führungszapfen 26 des Lenkerteils 25 und damit letzteres gegenüber der aus den Fig. 1 bis 3 ersichtlichen einen Endlage verschoben werden kann, was eine Veränderung der Längeneinstellung des Lenkers 18 und damit eine Einstellung der Maulweite zwischen den Greifbacken 14, 16 zur Folge hat. An dem vom Griffabschnitt 212 entfernten Ende des Führungsabschnittes 213 ist die feste Greifbacke 214 angeordnet und in der durch eine Sperre 217 begrenzten Führung ist die Greifbacke 216 längsbeweglich aufgenommen. Die Betätigung der Greifbacke von der aus Fig. 7 ersichtlichen Öffnungsstellung in die aus Fig. 8 ersichtliche Schließlage erfolgt mittels des an dem von der festen Greifbacke 214 entfernten Ende des Griffabschnittes 212 durch den Zapfen 223 angelenkten Betätigungshebel 222 über den Lenker 218, der mittels der Zapfen 219 und 220 an der bewegbaren Greifbacke 216 einerseits und an dem vom Griffabschnitt 212 entfernten Ende des Betätigungshebels 222 andererseits angelenkt ist. Es ist mithin wiederum eine geschlossene Mehrgelenkkette verwirklicht, die bei dieser Ausführungsform jedoch einen die Aufbringung extrem großer Spannkräfte ermöglichenden Kniehebelantrieb für die in der Längsführung 215 bewegbar aufgenommene Greifbacke 216 bildet, indem mittels des aus den längenverstellbaren Lenkerteilen 224 und 225 bestehenden Lenkers 218 eine Einstellung gelingt, bei der die Spannlage der Greifbacken erreicht wird, wenn sich der Lenker 218 und der Betätigungshebel in oder annähernd in Strecklage befinden. 2. Tool according to claim 1, characterised thereby, that an in itself known clamping device (135), which acts between the handle (11, 111) and the actuating lever (122), is provided for the tightening of the gripping cheek (114, 116) in the clamping position.
3. Tool according to claim 2, characterised thereby, that the clamping device (135) is a self- locking clamping thread.
4. Tool according to claim 2 or 3, characterised thereby, that the clamping device (135) comprises a threaded bolt (137), which - at a spacing from the articulation point of. the actuating lever (122) at the handle (111) - is tightenable between the latter.
5. Tool according to claim 4, characterised thereby, that the threaded bolt (137), which is tightenable between the actuating lever (122) and the handle (11), is articulated at the handle in the proximity of the guide (115) for the movable gripping cheek (116) and extends through a cutout (138) in the actuating lever and that a clamping nut (139), which engages at the actuating lever, is screwed onto that end of the threaded bolt, which is remote from the articulation point.
