Abstract

The wall covering element consists of a supporting panel, rigid per se, with a ceramic coating on one side. In order to increase the inherent rigidity of such a wall covering element, a lattice mat is bonded to both sides by means of an adhesive layer in each case. To improve the fixing of the wall covering element to the masonry, the edges of the lattice mat arranged between the supporting panel and the ceramic layer protrude and can be used for fixing to the masonry. Alternatively, it is possible, for fixing between the supporting panel and the ceramic layer to arrange at their ends sheet-metal strips bent at right angles and provided with elongated holes. Furthermore, the invention permits the erection of self-supporting partition walls by interconnecting two wall covering elements at their uncoated surfaces of the supporting panels. The wall covering element can also be used as facade lining, in which case pipes are arranged between the supporting panel and the ceramic coating for ventilation. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a wall part, which consists of a rigid support plate, which has a one-sided ceramic coating. These wall parts are manufactured as prefabricated parts and then attached to a shell wall.

The object of the present invention is to stiffen this known wall part so that it has sufficient inherent strength. This is achieved according to the invention in that a grid mat is arranged on both sides of the support plate. A lattice mat is preferred, the longitudinal and transverse strands of which, in particular, consist of glass fibers, include lattice openings of 10 to 30 mm 2, in particular 20 mm; nm. In this case, an adhesive layer, in particular made of mortar or plastic, is expediently provided between the support plate and the two lattice mats hen that penetrates the grid mat at least on the side of the ceramic layer and is formed as a connection with the ceramic layer. It is preferable to use a hard foam support plate, in particular polystyrene, which has a rough surface for better interlocking of the adhesive layer. It has been found that, above all, the surfaces of rigid foam panels that are sawn through in their plane of the panel have a sufficiently rough surface without requiring any special processing.

Another feature of the present invention is to find a particularly simple form of attachment. This is achieved in that between the support plate and the ceramic layer is arranged a grid mat laterally projecting from the support plate, the projecting edge strips of which are designed for fastening. These edge strips are then pulled down on the sides of the support plate and bent parallel to the shell wall. These bent ends can then be attached to the wall in particular by means of screws. In order to prevent the mesh mat from tearing, the edge strips are provided with strips which have fastening bores for the fastening means. As a result, the contact pressure on the grid mat is transmitted through the strips over a greater length.

In another type of fastening, fastening straps consisting of sheet metal and projecting beyond the contours of the support plate are arranged between the support plate and the ceramic layer. Yours with mounting holes, especially elongated holes, provided free ends are bent about the plate thickness. The bent ends can then be attached to the shell wall by dowel screws or the like.

According to a further feature of the invention, the wall parts can also be designed as a self-supporting intermediate wall. For this purpose, two wall parts are connected to one another on their surfaces of the support plates not coated with ceramic, in particular glued. At least one mesh mat for reinforcement is preferably arranged between the interconnected surfaces of the support plates. To avoid permeable joints, the two wall parts are connected to each other offset.

In order to increase the stability, the wall expediently has a casing encircling its end edges. This can be designed as a T-shaped band in cross section, the vertical web engaging between the support plates and the horizontal part arranged in a recess being flush with the edges. In order to be able to arrange the intermediate wall at a distance from the floor or from one of the side walls, the casing is connected to spacers on at least one wall side.

The wall part is also suitable as facade cladding. In order to obtain good rear ventilation here, pipes are arranged according to the invention between the support plate and the ceramic coating, which are expediently made of plastic or in particular of glass fleece are made. An adhesive, in particular mortar or plastic, is also used to connect the pipes to one another and to the support plate or the grid mat.

The drawing shows two embodiments of the invention. They represent:
  • FIG. 1 shows a broken cross-section through two adjacent wall parts fastened to a wall,
  • Bigur 2 is a partially broken top view according to FIG. 1, only the grid mat being shown from one wall part,
  • FIG. 3 shows an illustration according to FIG. 1 of another embodiment,
  • Figure 4 is a partially broken plan view of FIG. 3, with only one wall part.
  • Figure 5 is a broken plan view of an intermediate wall.
  • FIG. 6 shows a side view according to FIG. 5
  • 7 shows a broken cross section through a masonry with facade cladding.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the two wall parts 2a and b are fastened to the wall 1. They consist of a grid mat 5a and 5b, which is glued on by means of an adhesive layer 3a and 3b. The lateral edge surfaces 6 protrude beyond the plate 4 to such an extent that the edge surfaces 6 can serve for fastening the wall part 2a or b. For this purpose, the edge strip 6 is pulled down to the side of the wall 1 and is overlapped with the corresponding edge strip of the adjacent plate. The overlap point is covered by a metal or plastic strip 7 and the whole is then fastened to the wall 1 by means of a screw 8 and a dowel 9. A ceramic layer 10 is arranged on the grid plate 5a, this also being held by the adhesive layer 3a which penetrates the grid mat 5a. During production, the adhesive layer 3a is first applied, then the grid mat 5a is placed on top and then the ceramic layer is pressed on under pressure. The joints between the wall parts 2 and 3 are closed by a cover profile 11. Between the wall 1 and the wall parts 2 and 3, an elastic layer 12 is provided to compensate for wall differences.

In FIGS. 3 and 4, the wall parts 2a and b are designed in the same way, but the dimensions of the grid mat 5a correspond to those of the plate 4. For fastening, there are between the support plate 4 and the grid mat 5a sheet metal strips 13 are arranged, which are bent at their free ends 14, to a somewhat greater extent than the plate thickness 15. The end parts 16 guided parallel to the wall 1 are provided with elongated holes 17, through which for fastening Grip through dowel screws 18 on the wall 1. The metal strips of two adjacent wall parts 2a and b overlap and are each fastened to the wall 1 by means of common dowel screws 18. The gap between wall parts 2a and b shown in FIG. 3 can be avoided if one of the two plates is cut out at the fastening point above the metal strips and then filled in again accordingly.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 6, a self-supporting intermediate wall is shown, which consists of the wall parts 19 and 20 and 21 and 22. As FIG. 5 shows, the wall parts 19 and 20 on the one hand and 21 and 22 on the other hand are connected to one another offset, so that the joints 23 and 24 are not in alignment with one another. This prevents leaks. From Figure 6 it can be seen that a grid mat 26 is arranged for reinforcement between the support plates 25. The support plates are provided with a ceramic coating 33 on their free outer surfaces. In addition, a casing 23, which consists of a T-shaped band, runs around the entire end face 27 of the intermediate wall. The vertical web 29 is inserted between the support plates 25, while the horizontal part 30 in a ver recess 31 is located so that it is flush with the edges of the ceramic coating 33. At the lower part of the wall, the casing is provided with spacers 32 at intervals so that the wall can be arranged at a distance from the floor. Recesses 38 are provided in the two wall parts 21 and 20, in which there are empty pipes 39 which can be used to hold water and sewage lines, electrical lines or the like.

The masonry 37 according to FIG. 7 is provided with a facade cladding. This has a support plate 34 and a ceramic coating 35, with ventilation pipes 36 being arranged between them. Due to the fact that the support plate 34 made of heat-insulating material is in direct contact with the masonry 37, full heat protection is obtained, with ventilation of the tubes 36 being nevertheless ensured. The tubes 36 are connected to the support plate 34 and the ceramic layer 35 by an adhesive 40. The mesh mat 5b and the adhesive layer 3b can be dispensed with here, since the tubes 36 here take on the task of the second mesh mat, namely the achievement of sufficient inherent strength can, in which case the tubes 36 represent a lattice mat consisting exclusively of longitudinal strands. However, if it is preferred to increase the strength still further, the grid mat 5b is arranged between the tubes 36 and the ceramic layer 35, the adhesive 40 penetrating through the grid mat 5b fulfilling the function of the adhesive layer 3b.
