Согласно способу изготовления защитного элемента предусматривают прозрачный в видимой и ультрафиолетовой областях спектра носитель 1; впечатывают скрытое изображение 2 по меньшей мере на одном участке носителя 1 с одной его стороны с помощью бесцветной жидкой композиции, содержащей УФ-абсорбер с красной границей спектра поглощения в области 370-400 нм; впечатывают скрытое изображение 2' по меньшей мере на одном участке носителя 1 с другой его стороны с помощью бесцветной жидкой композиции, содержащей УФ-абсорбер с красной границей спектра поглощения в области 270-360 нм, таким образом, что скрытые изображения 2 и 2' на обеих сторонах носителя 1 компонуются независимо друг от друга и/или находятся в заданном согласованном положении относительно друг друга с возможностью обеспечения при визуализации комплексного изображения, подвергают полученное скрытое изображение 2, 2' отверждению при температуре в диапазоне 70-80°С, наносят тонкий защитный слой 3, прозрачный в УФ области спектра, на обе стороны носителя 1 по всей поверхности защитного элемента, при этом коэффициент преломления защитного слоя 3, по существу, совпадает с коэффициентом преломления материала носителя 1 и скрытых изображений 2, 2', обеспечивая невидимость границ формирования скрытых изображений невооруженным глазом, встраивают полученный носитель 1 в виде прозрачного окна в защищаемый объект.
