Description

General types of mobile home equipment - e.g. complete kitchen units, built-in cupboards, seating benches - are not suitable for installation in all station wagons. If the interior space is limited, these prefabricated components cannot be used. Owners of smaller vehicles, especially off-road vehicles, can only create sleeping and living space in the vehicle by removing the back seat and improvising additional equipment.

Converting the vehicle is sometimes time-consuming and complicated. When using it as a camper or vehicle, restrictions must be accepted - e.g. only 2 seats instead of the original 5 - and technical safety is not always guaranteed.

The invention specified in claims 1 to 3 is based on the problem of To create a motorhome interior that maintains the original utility value of the vehicle does not restrict and without major technical changes the use as a mobile home enabled.

This problem is solved with the features specified in claims 1 to 3 which essentially consists of the combination of the following components:

- Built-in module (4), if necessary with cooking facility (1), table top (2), storage compartment flap (3),

- Seat (5) and backrest/reclining area (6),

and their use is shown in Figures 1 to 3b. Figure 1:

The vehicle equipped with the invention can be used without restrictions in its original condition in everyday use. The attachment of the seat (5) to the existing backrest and the folded backrest/reclining area (6) do not take up any storage space when driving. The existing trunk volume is hardly restricted by the clever design of the built-in module (4). On the contrary, the cover of the built-in module (here designed as a table top (2) and storage compartment flap (3)) creates a closed trunk with a second loading level that is protected from view.

By folding down the vehicle backrest with the additionally installed seat (5) and the backrest/bed (6), in conjunction with the intermediate floor of the built-in module (4) in the trunk, possibly made from (2) and (3), a bed is created in the interior that extends over the entire width of the vehicle and can be covered with a hitchhiker's mat, air mattress or cot for sleeping purposes. Storage space is retained under the intermediate floor in the trunk.

For residential purposes, the components seat (5) and backrest/reclining area (6) are converted into a bench. (2) is mounted on a tubular support so that it can rotate and the storage flaps (3) are opened. The cooking device (1) can be folded down for use as required.

Figures 3a and 3b show the different design options with a split rear seat backrest.

General information:

The design shown in the attached drawings complies with the minimum requirements of the TÜV (representative of TÜV North Germany) as of 11/92. This makes it possible to register the vehicle as a special motorhome.

The cooker used for the cooking facility (item 1) is removable and can be used outdoors. The cooker can only be transported in the installed state without fuel (no risk of fire).

The construction is derived from the techniques and safety standards used in boat building. Waterproof glued heights of different thicknesses are used and coated with color-coordinated laminated panels. Construction materials such as plastic can also be used.

There are no changes to the bodywork or restrictions to the existing safety standards - e.g. passenger compartment and seating. The vehicle can be retrofitted without much effort.

Several vehicles are already equipped with the aforementioned invention and have also been approved by the TÜV from Soner-Kfz Motorhome.

• · Protection claims 1.) Foldable campervan equipment for station wagons with foldable backrest, - whereby a stable seat (5) is attached to the existing backrest, - an additional plate (6) is attached to the previously attached seat (5), which ak backrest can be used for seating or to create a lying surface , - with the installation module (4) consisting of a solid floor, side walls and removable cover, an intermediate level is created in the trunk, which forms a closed storage space underneath and, in conjunction with the seat (5) and the backrest/reclining area (6), creates a reclining area. 2.) Foldable mobile home equipment according to protection claim 1, - whose seat surface (5) is divided symmetrically or asymmetrically according to the existing seat backs, and - whose backrest/lying surface (6) is undivided and removable. 3.) Foldable mobile home equipment according to protection claims 1 and 2, - whose built-in module (4) is equipped with a fold-down cooking device (1) on one side, - part of the cover of the built-in module (4) can be used on the table top (2), - the remaining cover of the built-in module (4) forms a hinged and removable storage compartment flap (3).
