Description
Process for the production of porous shaped bodies for filter purposes and Diaphragm addition to patent 910 288 The patent 910 288 relates to a method for Production of porous moldings, after which the polymer grains used to build them up superficially softened by heating before deformation or in the form and through be united with each other with gentle pressure.
According to the present invention, in contrast to patent 910 288 instead of polymeric esters of α-methacrylic acid, other thermoplastic ones are used Organic solvent-soluble synthetic resins in granular or powder form for building up used by porous moldings.
The substitutability of the polymethacrylic acid esters given by the invention by other thermoplastic ones, i.e. solid ones at room temperature, when heated Synthetic resins that soften to certain temperatures and solidify again on cooling has the advantage of being able to choose from among those available to those skilled in the art standing thermoplastic synthetic resins to select those which are suitable for certain Purposes of particular suitability or to withstand special stresses capital. So you can z. B. for the filtration of hot liquids with synthetic resins particularly use high softening temperatures or by mixing various thermoplastic synthetic resin products with certain desired properties, z. B. regarding resistance to certain agents or regarding elasticity, Achieve flexibility, etc. The person skilled in the art is able to carry out the invention a range of thermoplastic, soluble in or through solvents Dissolvable synthetic resins, especially polymers, are available. For the production the molded body becomes the synthetic resin particles by dissolving them or gently heating them superficially softened and slightly compressed when softened. To loosen the synthetic resin grains can be special ones suitable for the synthetic resins used Solvents such as B. ketones, esters or ethers, and use them after association of the particles by conventional measures, such as the application of a vacuum, passing through Eliminate gases, expulsion by moderate heating. You can also use the Make particles superficially adhesive by heating them to the softening temperature, Press them in this state onto the desired shaped body and then cool them down again let or cool down. The heating can be carried out with the usual technical aids, z. B. by electrical resistance heating.
The moldings produced according to the invention have the same properties Advantages such as the structures made from esters of α-methacrylic acid; you can in particular due to their thermoplastic properties and their ability to to be dissolved by certain organic liquids, after-
