Claims (21)
1. Metall-Wärmeisolator aus im allgemeinen länglichen dünnen
Metallblechen, umfassend mindestens zwei im allgemeinen längliche dünne Metallbleche, die im allgemeinen
in einem Abstand voneinander übereinander angeordnet sind, und einen Metall-Separator zwischen diesen, der
beide Bleche berührt, um den Abstand aufrechtzuerhalten, gekennzeichnet durch einen nicht gewebten, i.w. offenen
Metall-Separator, der nicht permanent mit den Blechen verbunden oder Teil derselben ist und eine erhebliche
Abmessung in Z-Richtung und im wesentlichen parallele, einen Abstand in Z-Richtung aufweisende obere und untere
Kontaktflächen hat; wobei der Separator in Form eines Streckmetalls ausgebildet ist mit voneinander beabstandeten
im wesentlichen vertikal angeordneten Abschnitten und diese miteinander verbindenden ausgeschnittenen,
verdrillten Abschnitten, wobei ferner die vertikal gerichteten Abschnitte sich weiter von einer Mittelebene
des Streckmetalls weg erstrecken als die verdrillten Abschnitte, so daß die verdrillten Abschnitte die dünnen
Metallbleche nicht merklich berühren, und wobei die von den vertikal angeordneten Abschnitten gebildete obere
und untere Kontaktfläche Kontaktflächenbereiche haben, die weniger als 5 % der parallel zur X- und Y-Richtung
des Separators gemessenen ebenen Separatorfläche beträgt .
2. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch l, bei dem die dünnen
Metallbleche eine Dicke von ca. 0,0127 mm (0,0005 inch) bis 0,762 mm (0,030 inch) haben.
3. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 1, bei dem die Bleche
ein Oberflächen-zu-Dicke-Verhältnis von mindestens 1000:1 haben.
4. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 1, bei dem die Kontaktflächenausdehnung
geringer als 1% der ebenen Fläche ist.
5. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 1, bei dem das Metall der Bleche aus der Stahl, rostfreien Stahl, Aluminium,
Kupfer, Messing, Bronze und Zinn umfassenden Gruppe ausgewählt ist.
6. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 1, bei dem die Metal lbleche eine Metal!beschichtung haben.
7. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 6, bei dem die Metal !beschichtung eine Antikorrosionsbeschichtung ist.
8. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 1, bei dem die Bleche einen gegenseitigen Abstand von mindestens ca. 0,508 mm
(0,020 inch) haben.
9. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 1, bei dem das Verhältnis
der Abmessung in Z-Richtüng zu einer ebenen Einheitsfläche ca. 0,1 beträgt.
10. Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 1, bei dem die Metallbleche eine glänzende Oberfläche mit einem geringen thermischen
Emissionsvermögen haben.
11. Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 10, bei dem das Emissionsvermögen geringer als 0,1 ist.
12. Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 4, bei dem der Separator aus
einem Metall besteht, das aus der Stahl, rostfreien Stahl, Aluminium, Kupfer, Messing, Bronze und Zinn umfassenden
Gruppe ausgewählt ist.
13. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 12, bei dem das Metall eine Beschichtung hat.
14. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 1, bei dem der Separator gefalzt ist.
15. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 1, bei dem der Separator sich im wesentlichen über dieselbe Fläche wie mindestens
eines der Bleche erstreckt.
16. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 1, bei dem es mehr
als zwei Bleche gibt.
17. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 1, bei dem Ränder der
Bleche miteinander und mit dem Separator in Berührung stehen.
18. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 1, bei dem zwei oder mehr Schichten des Separators zwischen einander benachbarten
Blechen vorhanden sind.
19. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekenn
zeichnet, daß er eine Form zur Isolierung einer unterhalb des1 Chassis eines Kraftfahrzeuges angeordneten Wärmequelle
gegenüber einem anderen Teil des Kraftfahrzeuges hat.
20. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 19, wobei die Wärmequelle mindestens Teil der Abgasanlage des Kraftfahrzeuges
ist.
21. Metall-Wärmeisolator nach Anspruch 20, wobei die Druckfestigkeit
des Separators in Z-Richtung ausreicht, um ein merkliches Zusammendrücken des Isolators in Z-Richtung
bei Auftreffen üblicher von der Straße ausgehender Beanspruchungen zu verhindern.
