Description

  • Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich generell auf eine Kabelfernseh(CATV)-Dekoder-Schnittstelle. Spezieller bezieht sie sich auf eine solche Schnittstelle, um den Kabelfernseh-Dekoder mit einem Fernsehzubehör zu verbinden, wie zum Beispiel einem Videokassettenrekorder (VCR). Ganz speziell bezieht sie sich auf eine solche Schnittstelle, die die volle Funktionalität des Fernsehzubehörs aufrecht erhält, während dieses an den Dekoder angeschlossen ist.
  • Kabelfernseh-Dekoder arbeiten üblicherweise so, dass sie ein Fernsehgerät und einen Videokassettenrekorder benötigen, der mit dem Dekoder verbunden ist, und auf einen vorbestimmten Kanal einzustellen ist, so wie Kanal 2, 3 oder 4, und die gesamte Kanalwah1 wird durch den Dekoder ausgeführt. Dies bedeutet Probleme für unbeaufsichtigtes Aufnehmen, nämlich dass nicht alle fortschrittlichen Merkmale, die bei Videokassettenrekordern nach dem Stand der Technik verfügbar sind, benutzt werden können, während der Videokassettenrekorder von dem Dekoder gesteuert wird. Zwei technische Schriften der Zenith Electronics Corporation offenbaren Systeme, die versuchen, diese Probleme zu behandeln. Merrell, "Tac-Timer," 1986 NCTA technical papers, Seiten 203–206, offenbart eine intelligente Fernsteuerung, um das Problem des unbeaufsichtigten Programmierens zu lösen, wenn ein Kabeldekoder einem Videokassettenrekorder vorgeschaltet ist. Anstatt den Videokassettenrekorder zu programmieren, wird die intelligente Fernsteuerung programmiert, um den Videokassettenrekorder zu bestimmten Zeiten einzuschalten, um gewünschte Programme aufzunehmen. Allerdings koordiniert diese Fernsteuerung nicht die Kanalwah1 für solche Geräte wie Fernsehzeitplan-Systeme, so wie offenbart in meinem U.S. Patent 4,706,121, erteilt am 10. November 1987, und es unterstützt ebenfalls nicht einzigartige Merkmale weiter entwickelter Videokassettenrekorder. Beispielsweise unterstützt diese Fernsteuerung nicht die bildschirmgeführte Programmierung des Videokassettenrekorders, auch wenn diese Funktion ansonsten bei einem Videokassettenrekorder verfügbar ist. Die Fernsteuerung enthält keine Fähigkeit, um Informationen über einen an der Kabeldekoder-Einheit gewählten Kanal an ein Fernsehzeitplan-System oder einen Videokassettenrekorder in irgendeiner nützlichen Weise zu übermitteln.
  • Long, "The VCR Interface," 1986 NCTA technical papers, Seiten 197–202, offenbart zwei Lösungen für das Problem des unbeaufsichtigten Programmierens, wenn ein Kabeldekoder dem Videokassettenrekorder vorgeschaltet ist. Die erste von diesen ist ein Grundbandbreiten-Dekoder für einen Videokassettenrekorder, auch als BASE-TAC bezeichnet, und derzeit angeboten durch Zenith als Multiport oder MP. MPs erlauben es, die Kernfunktionen (entschlüsseln und adressieren) eines Kabeldekoders zu Fernsehern oder Videokassettenrekordern hinzu zu fügen. Der Dekoder akzeptiert die Ausgabe der Grundbandbreite von Fernseh- oder Videokassettenrekorder-Tuner, was separate Dekodertuner sowie die damit einhergehende Notwendigkeit der Koordination zweier Tuner überflüssig macht. Diese Methode ist wirksam, um Fernsehzeitplan-Systeme zu unterstützen und erlaubt die volle Funktionalität von fortschrittlichen Merkmalen des Videokassettenrekorders. Allerdings erfordert die MP-Alternative eine neue Fernseh- und Videoausrüstung und ist nicht kompatibel mit der vorhandenen installierten Basis von Kabeldekodern. Diese Methode ist bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht gut angenommen worden. Die zweite ist die Videokassettenrekorder-Schnittstelle, welche eine HF-Umschaltung und einen zentralisierten Ansatz für alle Fernseher und Videokassettenrekorder im Haus verwendet. Sie entschlüsselt eingehende Kabelfernseh-Kanäle und speist sie – nach einer Modulation – zurück in die Kabelfernsehleitung auf unbenutzten hohen Kanälen. Das Ergebnis ist, dass jedes Fernsehgerät an dieser Leitung gebührenpflichtige Kanäle ohne einen separaten Dekoder empfangen kann. Dieses Verfahren beseitigt den Bedarf von überzähligen Dekodern an jedem einzelnen Fernseher oder Videokassettenrekorder. Wie beschrieben war das System nur für einen gebührenpflichtigen Kanal gedacht. Um ein Fernsehzeitplan-System zu unterstützen, müssen alle gebührenpflichtigen Kanäle zusammen entschlüsselt werden und gleichzeitig verfügbar sein. Wenn nicht, dann wäre es notwendig, eine Möglichkeit zur Verfügung zu stellen, den zentralisierten Dekoder von jedem der Fernseher oder Videokassettenrekorder einzustellen, die an die Leitung angeschlossen sind. Ein solches Vorgehen wäre problematisch, wenn mehr als ein Fernseher oder Videokassettenrekorder versuchen würden, die Steuerung des einzelnen Dekoders zu übernehmen. Die Videokassettenrekorder-Schnittstelle könnte verwirklicht werden unter Verwendung von umgerüsteten Dekodern, allerdings könnten die Gesamtkosten für einen duchschnittlichen Haushalt abschreckend sein.
  • Ein ähnliches System für die Verwendung in deutschen Fernsehnetzen wird beschrieben in Sommerhauser, "Video Programm System: Flexibel programmieren mit VPS," Funkschau, Nr. 25, Dezember 1985, Seiten 47–51.
  • Anderer Stand der Technik in Bezug auf Kabelfernsehen, dessen Dekoder, und programmierbare Fernsteuerungsgeräte umfasst die westdeutsche veröffentlichte Anmeldung 2,338,380, veröffentlicht am 13. Februar 1975; das G.B. Patent 1,554,411, veröffentlicht am 17. Oktober 1979; das U.S. Patent 4,375,651, Templin et al. erteilt am 1. März 1983; das U.S.Patent 4,394,691, Amano et al. erteilt am 19. Juli 1983; das U.S. Patent 4,802,114, Sogane erteilt am 31. Januar 1989. US-A-4841368 offenbart ein System, bei welchem ein Fernsteuerungssender in einen Fernsehempfänger eingebaut ist.
  • Obwohl der Stand der Technik, der sich auf Kabeldekoder-Schnittstellen und ähnliche Geräte bezieht, gut entwickelt ist, verbleibt die Notwendigkeit zur weiteren Entwicklung solcher Geräte. Keine der existierenden Schnittstellen stellt sowohl eine umfassende Lösung des Problems des unbeaufsichtigten Aufnehmens dar und ist kompatibel mit bereits vorhandener Ausrüstung.
  • Demgemäß ist es Aufgabe dieser Erfindung, eine einfache Einstellanordnung zur Verfügung zu stellen, welche die Kanalwahlinformationen zwischen einem Kabeldekoder und einem Fernsehzeitplan-System, einem Videokassettenrekorder oder jedem beliebigen Fernsehgerät koordiniert.
  • Eine weitere Aufgabe dieser Erfindung ist es, eine Einstellanordnung zur Verfügung zu stellen, welche kompatibel mit bereits vorhandener Ausrüstung ist.
  • Weiterhin ist Aufgabe dieser Erfindung, eine solche einfache Einstellanordnung zur Verfügung zu stellen, welche die fortschrittlichen Merkmale von Fernsehgeräten erhält, wenn diese hinter Kabeldekodern arbeiten.
  • Verschiedene Aspekte der vorliegenden Erfindung sind in den unabhängigen Ansprüchen definiert. Einige bevorzugte Aspekte sind in den abhängigen Ansprüchen definiert.
  • Die Verwirklichung der vorhergehenden und damit in Verbindung stehenden Aufgabe, Vorteile und Merkmale der Erfindung sollten ohne weiteres offenbar werden für die Fachleute auf diesem Gebiet, nach Prüfung der nachfolgenden detaillierteren Beschreibung der Erfindung zusammen mit den Zeichnungen, in welchen:
  • 1 ein Blockdiagramm eines Systems für die Verbindung eines Kabelfernsehdekoders mit einem Fernsehzubehör ist in Übereinstimmung mit der Erfindung.
  • 2 ein detaillierteres Blockdiagramm des in 1 gezeigten Systems ist.
  • Wenn man sich nun den Zeichnungen zuwendet, spezieller der 1, dann wird ein System 10 für die Verbindung eines Kabelfernsehdekoders 12 mit einem Videokassettenrekorder 14 gezeigt, der ein Fernsehzeitplan-System der Art enthält, wie es offenbart ist in meinem oben genannten erteilten U.S. Patent 4,706,121. Wie es üblich ist, wird das Kabelsignal dem Kabeldekoder 12 auf dem Kabel 16 geliefert, und das dekodierte Ausgangssignal des Dekoders 12 wird dem Videokassettenrekorder 14 zur Verfügung gestellt durch das Kabel 18 auf einem festen Kanal. Das dekodierte Ausgangssignal auf dem festen Kanal wird ebenso selektiv einem Fernsehgerät 19 zur Verfügung gestellt, wie bei 21 dargestellt. Der Videokassettenrekorder 14 empfängt Befehle von seiner Fernsteuerung 20. Ein Fernsteuerungsemulator 22 des Kabeldekoders ist bei 23 zwischen Videokassettenrekorder 14 und Kabeldekoder 12 geschaltet. Alle Kanalwahl-Kodes, die dem Videokassettenrekorder von seiner Fernsteuerung 20 geliefert werden, werden vom Fernsteuerungsemulator 22 in Befehlskodes umgewandelt, die der Kabeldekoder 12 erkennen kann. Der Fernsteuerungsemulator 22 unterdrückt ebenso die Ausführung der Kanalwahl-Kodes, die dem Videokassettenrekorder 14 geliefert werden, um den Videokassettenrekorder 14 auf einen festen Kanal eingestellt zu lassen, auf welchem das dekodierte Kabelsignal zur Verfügung gestellt wird.
  • Wenn der Kabeldekoder-Modus gewählt ist, wird der Kanalanzeiger 74 (2) des Videokassettenrekorders den Kanal anzeigen, der von der Kabeldekodereinheit gewählt ist. Es gibt zwei Gründe, aufgrund derer der Videokassettenrekorder 14 benutzt wird, um die Kanalnummer anzuzeigen, anstatt des Kabeldekoders 12: die Kabeleinheit kann nun vor dem Blick versteckt werden, was von den meisten Benutzern gewünscht wird, und es stellt eine verbesserte Infrarot-Isolation des Signals der Videokassettenrekorder-Fernsteuerung 20 gegen unerwünschte Aufnahme vom Fernsteuerungseingang 56 des Kabeldekoders zur Verfügung (2). Der Vorteil davon, den Videokassettenrekorder 14 für die Anzeige des Kanals zu benutzen, ist der, dass die Kabeldekoder-Einheit für den Benutzer transparent gemacht werden kann.
  • Der Fernsteuerungsemulator 22 steuert einen Infrarot-Emitter an, welcher vor einem Infrarot-Eingang auf dem Kabeldekoder 12 angebracht ist. So ersetzt der Fernsteuerungsemulator 22 die herkömmliche Kabeldekoder-Fernsteuerung. Der Benutzer kommuniziert mit dem System unter Benutzung der Videokassettenrekorder-Fernsteuerung 20. Für den Benutzer arbeitet das System 10 scheinbar auf die selbe Art, wie es der Videokassettenrekorder tun würde, wenn er an den Fernseher 19 angeschlossen wäre, ohne dass ein Kabeldekoder vorhanden wäre. Das bedeutet, dass alle Funktionen, eingeschlossen die bildschirmgesteuerte Programmierung und das Fernsehzeitplan-System, die von dem Videokassettenrekorder zur Verfügung gestellt werden, voll funktionsfähig sind und einheitlich bedient werden vom Benutzer und einheitlich mit dem Benutzer wechselwirken. Weitere Details von Teilen des Videokassettenrekorders 14 und des Kabel-Fernsteuerungsemulators 22 werden in 2 geliefert. Wie bei 24 gezeigt, wird der Fernsteuerungsemulator 22 zusammen mit dem Videokassettenrekorder 14 zur Verfügung gestellt. Der Videokassettenrekorder 14 beinhaltet einen programmierbaren Tuner 26, angeschlossen an einen HF-Modulator 28 mit Kabel 30. Der Kabeldekoder 12 ist angeschlossen an den programmierbaren Tuner 26 mit Kabel 18, und der HF-Modulator 28 ist an den Fernseher 19 angeschlossen mit Kabel 32. Die Fernsteuerung 20 stellt ihren Eingang einem Fernsteuerungs-Empfänger 34 in dem Kabel-Fernsteuerungsemulator 22 zur Verfügung. Der Fernsteuerungs-Empfänger 34 ist an eine Zentralprozessor-Einheit (CPU) 36 angeschlossen über Leitung 38. Die Zentralprozessor-Einheit 36 ist implementiert mit einem kommerziell erhältlichen integrierten Mikroprozessor-Schaltkreis, wie solche erhältlich von der Intel Corporation, Santa Clara, Kalifornien, oder von Motorola, Inc., Phoenix, Arizona. Die Zentralprozessor-Einheit 36 ist angeschlossen an einen Schreib-Lese-Speicher 44 und an einen Kabeldekoder-Speicher 46 – welcher entweder ein Schreib-Lese-Speicher oder ein Nur-Lese-Speicher sein kann – durch die Busse 48 und 50.
  • Zentralprozessor-Einheit 36 ist angeschlossen an eine Fernsteuerungs-Steuerschaltung 52 durch Leitung 23. Die Fernsteuerungs-Steuerschaltung 52 ist angeschlossen an einen Infrarot-Emitter 54, welcher vor dem Infrarot-Eingang 56 des Kabeldekoders 12 angebracht ist. Die Zentralprozessor-Einheit 36 ist angeschlossen an den programmierbaren Tuner 26 durch einen Schalter 70 mit den Leitungen 71 und 76, und an eine Kanalanzeige 74 durch Leitung 72. Der Schalter 70 ist ebenso angeschlossen an die Zentralprozessor-Einheit 36 durch Leitung 58. Der Schalter erlaubt es, die Kanaldaten auf der Anzeige 74 getrennt anzuzeigen von den Daten, die der programmierbare Empfänger 26 liefert. Dem programmierbaren Tuner werden Daten nur dann zur Verfügung gestellt, wenn der Schalter auf der Leitung 58 freigegeben ist.
  • Im Betrieb wird der Kabel-Fernsteuerungsemulator 22 entweder programmiert, um die Kodes der Kabeldekoder-Fernsteuerung zu lernen – auf die übliche Art, einer Fernsteuerung die Befehle einer fremden Bedieneinheit beizubringen -, welche dann im Kode-Speicher des Kabeldekoders gespeichert werden, oder der Speicher 46 enthält die Umwandlungs-Kodes gespeichert im Nur-Lese-Speicher für die verbreiteteren Modelle eines Kabeldekoders 12. Das Fernsehzeitplan-System, welches ebenso die Zentralprozessor-Einheit 36 benutzt, wird in den Kabelmodus geschaltet durch einen Befehl von der Fernsteuerung 20. Dies bewirkt, dass der programmierbare Empfänger 26, der ebenso ein Teil des Fernsehzeitplan-Systems ist, nicht auf die Kanal-Befehle der Fernsteuerung 20 reagiert, als Ergebnis eines passenden Befehlssignals auf Leitung 58, so dass der Empfänger auf den festen Kanal für den Kabeldekoder 12 eingestellt bleibt, üblicherweise Kanal 3 oder 4. Allerdings werden die Kanalbefehle im Speicher 44 gespeichert. Wann immer das Fernsehzeitplan-System Kanalinformationen benötigt, wird es sich auf die gespeicherten Kanalinformationen beziehen. Wenn zum Beispiel das Fernsehzeitplan-System geöffnet wird, wird es auf den Kanal zeigen, der gerade gesehen aufgenommen wird. Wenn ein Programm vom Fernsehzeitplan-System gewählt wird, wird das System automatisch Kodes erzeugen, die vom Kabeldekoder 12 erkannt werden können, um den Kanal am Kabeldekoder 12 zu wechseln. Wenn kein Kabeleingang benutzt wird, wird der Schalter 70 durch Leitung 58 eingeschaltet, so dass Kanalbefehle auf Leitung 71 dem programmierbaren Tuner 26 zur Verfügung gestellt werden.
  • Befehle der Fernsteuerung 20 werden infrarot angekoppelt an die Zentralprozessor-Einheit 36 und gespeichert im Speicher 44. Wenn das System 10 einen Kabeldekoder 12 enthält, werden alle Kanal-Abstimmbefehle von der Fernsteuerung 20 blockiert, zu Gunsten der Kabeldekoder-Kanalbefehle, die der Kabeldekoder erkennt, und die von der Zentralprozessor-Einheit 36 erzeugt werden durch die Umwandlung der Kanal-Abstimmbefehle. Der Umwandlungs-Kode ist enthalten in einem Nur-Lese-Speicher, oder einem Schreib-Lese-Speicher, falls das System einen Lern-Modus hat. Nach einer Verzögerung, um potenzielle Konflikte zwischen zwei Infrarot-Signalen zu verhindern, wird der umgewandelte Kode in den Fernsteuerungs-Eingang 56 des Kabeldekoders eingespeist durch den Infrarot-Emitter 54. Der Vorgang der Emulierung von Kodes, die der Kabeldekoder 12 erkennen kann, geschieht in einer üblichen Weise, die in der Technik bekannt ist. Auf alle anderen Befehle von der Fernsteuerung 20 wird im System 10 unverändert reagiert.
  • Es sollte nun für die Fachleute auf diesem Gebiet klar sein, dass ein neuartiges System zur Verfügung gestellt wird, um einen Kabeldekoder mit Fernseheinrichtungen zu verbinden, welches die festgelegten Aufgaben der Erfindung zu erreichen fähig ist. Das System und das Verfahren stellen eine einfache Einstellanordnung dar, welche Kanalwahl-Informationen zwischen einem Kabeldekoder und einem Fernsehzeitplan-System, einem Videokassettenrekorder oder jedem beliebigen Fernsehgerät koordinieren wird. Die Einstellanordnung ist kompatibel mit bereits vorhandener Ausrüstung. Die einfache Einstellanordnung erhält die fortschrittlichen Merkmale von Fernsehgeräten, wenn diese hinter Kabeldekodern arbeiten.
  • Weiterhin sollte für die Fachleute auf diesem Gebiet offensichtlich sein, dass verschiedene Veränderungen in Form und Details der Erfindung, wie sie gezeigt und beschrieben wurden, gemacht werden können. Es wird beabsichtigt, dass solche Veränderungen in den Umfang der hier angefügten Ansprüche eingeschlossen sind.

Claims (16)

  1. System (10) zum unbeaufsichtigten Aufnehmen von Fernsehprogrammen auf einem Videorecorder, wobei der Videorecorder (14) angeordnet ist, um Fernsehsignale von einem Kabeldecoder (12) zu empfangen, wobei das System einschließt: Mittel, um eine Benutzereingabe zu empfangen, die auf ein, auf einem Fernsehkanal gewähltes, zu einer Aktivierungszeit aufzunehmendes Fernsehprogramm schließen lässt, einen Emulator (22), um die Wahl des Kanals zu koordinieren, wobei der Emulator (22) auf die Benutzereingabe anspricht, um den Kanal des gewählten Fernsehprogramms zu emulieren, um einen Kanal-Abstimmungsbefehl zu erzeugen, der von dem Kabeldecoder (12) oder dem Videorecorder (14) erkannt werden kann, einen Speicher (44), um die Kanal-Abstimmungsbefehle und die gewünschte Aktivierungszeit zu speichern, Mittel, um den Kanal-Abstimmungsbefehl zu der Aktivierungszeit automatisch zu dem Kabeldecoder (12) oder dem Videorecorder (14) zu überragen, und Mittel, um Aufnahmebefehle zu der Aktivierungszeit automatisch dem Videorecorder (14) zu liefern.
  2. System (10) gemäß Anspruch 1, wobei das Mittel zum Empfangen einer Benutzereingabe ein Fernsehzeitplan-System aufweist.
  3. System (10) gemäß einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Mittel zum Empfangen einen Infrarot-Empfänger (34) aufweisen.
  4. System (10) gemäß einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei Mittel bereitgestellt sind, um Kanal-Änderungsbefehle des Videorecorders während der Aufnahme des gewählten Programms zu unterdrücken, um dadurch den Videorecorder (14) auf den Kanal abgestimmt zu halten, auf dem das gewählte Fernsehprogramm geliefert wird.
  5. System (10) gemäß einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Mittel zum automatischen Übertragen des Kanal-Abstimmungsbefehls an den Kabeldecoder (12) oder den Videorecorder (14) zu der Aktivierungszeit und die Mittel zum automatischen Liefern von Aufnahmebefehlen zu dem Videorecorder (14) zu der Aktivierungszeit einen Mikroprozessor (36) aufweisen.
  6. System (10) gemäß Anspruch 5, wobei der Videorecorder (19) eine Kanalanzeige aufweist, und wobei der Mikroprozessor konfiguriert ist, einen Kanal auf der Kanalanzeige zu zeigen, der den, zu dem Kabeldecoder (12) oder dem Videorecorder (14) übertragenen Kanal-Abstimmungsbefehlen entspricht.
  7. System (10) gemäß einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Mittel zum automatischen Übertragen des Kanal-Abstimmungsbefehls zu dem Kabeldecoder (12) oder dem Videorecorder (14) zu der Aktivierungszeit einen Infrarot-Sender aufweisen.
  8. System (10) gemäß einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, aufwe send ein programmierbares Abstimm-Mittel (26) um einen gewählten Kanal oder eine n festen Kanal von dem Kabeldecoder zu empfangen, und um auf ein gewünschtes Fernsehsignal abzustimmen, wenn der gewählte Fernsehkanal nicht über den Kabeldecoder (12) geliefert wird.
  9. System (10) gemäß Anspruch 8, wobei der Emulator (22) Fernsehkanal-Abstimmungsbefehle zu dem programmierbaren Abstimm-Mittel (26) liefert, wenn der gewählte Fernsehkanal nicht über den Kabeldecoder (12) geliefert wird.
  10. System (10) gemäß einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei der Videorecorder (14) ein Videokassettenrecorder ist.
  11. Verfahren zum unbeaufsichtigten Aufnehmen von Fernshprogrammen auf einem Videorecorder (14), wobei der Videorecorder (14) angeordnet ist, um Fernsehsignale von einem Kabeldecoder (12) zu empfangen, wobei das Verfahren aufweist: empfangen einer Benutzereingabe, die auf ein, auf einem Fernsehkanal gewähltes, zu einer Aktivierungszeit aufzunehmendes Fernsehprogramm schließen lässt, emulieren des Kanals des gewählten Fernsehprogramms, um einen Kanal-Abstimmungsbefehl zu erzeugen, der von dem Kabeldecoder (12) oder dem Videorecorder (14) erkannt werden kann, speichern der Kanal-Abstimmungsbefehle und der gewünschten Aktivierungszeit, übertragen des Kanal-Abstimmungsbefehls zu der Aktivierungszeit zu dem Kabeldecoder (12) oder dem Videorecorder (14), und automatisches liefern von Aufnahmebefehlen zu der Aktivierungszeit zu dem Videorecorder (14).
  12. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 11, wobei der Schritt des Empfang s einer Benutzereingabe das Verwenden eines Fernsehzeitplan-Systems aufweist.
  13. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 11 oder 12, weiter aufweisend: unterdrücken von Kanal-Änderungsbefehlen des Videorecorders während der Aufnahme des gewählten Programms, um dadurch den Videorecorder (14) auf den Kanal abgestimmt zu halten, auf dem das gewählte Fernsehprogramm geliefert wird.
  14. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 11 bis 13, wobei die Schritte des Übertragens des Kanal-Abstimmungsbefehls an den Kabeldecoder (12) oder den Videorecorder (14) zu der Aktivierungszeit und des Lieferns von Aufnahmebefehlen zu dem Videorecorder (14) zu der Aktivierungszeit unter Verwendung eines Mikroprozessors (36) ausgeführt werden.
  15. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 14, enthaltend zeigen eines Kanals auf einer Kanalanzeige des Videorecorders (14), wobei der Kanal zu dem Kabeldecoder (12) oder dem Videorecorder (14) übertragenen Kanal-Abstimmungsbefehlen entspricht.
  16. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 11 bis 15, wobei der Schritt des automatischen Übertragen des Kanal-Abstimmungsbefehls zu dem Kabeldecoder (12) oder zu dem Videorecorder (14) zu der Aktivierungszeit das Übertragen eines Infrarot-Signals zu dem Kabeldecoder (12) oder dem Videorecorder (14) aufweist.
