Description
Process for the production of high quality cellulose for further processing on cellulose ester, rayon and the like made of wood pulp In further experiments for the treatment of pulp according to patent 537 846 it has been shown that also in Use of more dilute solutions of caustic or carbonic acid alkalis, which less contain more than 50; o alkali, substances with a relatively high content of pure cellulose can be obtained. If you are using these lower concentrations also naturally not the high pure cellulose content as in the process of the main patent achieved, it means that according to the new method with relatively simple A substantial increase in the pure cellulose content to at least 90% was achieved. Advancement over known processes. The treatment becomes expedient in not too high a concentration of the substance, whereupon a thorough post-wash, best to follow with a dilute alkaline washing liquid first. Man can, for example, proceed as follows: 100 kg of pre-bleached pulp are used with 1500 kg of 2.5% strength sodium hydroxide solution, which was previously 100 l of sodium hydroxide solution with about 2o g of effective chlorine per liter can be added for about an hour with agitation ordinary temperature treated. The treatment liquid is allowed to run off and washes thoroughly with dilute sodium hydroxide solution and then with water after. Finally, it is acidified and washed again thoroughly.
