Abstract

In a weaving process a batten rotates on a shaft (2) to raise or lower a textile nap. The batten motion is regulated especially by a pivoting link and a pushrod (9). The pivoting link (1) is moved between straight and bent presentation by a control mechanism to a pre-determined pattern. Also claimed is a weaving assembly in which a textile nap is advanced by a nap beam drive, a base chain beam drive, a weft threading unit and a swivel-motion batten mounted on a drive shaft. The batten stroke is limited at given intervals by a mechanical control linked to a control shaft. The angle through which the shaft (2) rotates and the batten stroke is governed by a swivel guide (1) linked to the shaft (2). The guide (1) is linked to a pushrod (9) and centre-pivot controlled drive shaft section, raising or lowering the batten, at which point group or trigger feed is activated.
