Die Verarbeitung dieser Präparate auf zweckentsprechende Arzneiformen stößt aber auf große Schwierigkeiten, insofern nämlich, als die verwendeten Hilfsmittel, wie Gelatine, Fette u. a., durch die im Pankreas vorhandenen Fermente verdaut oder gespalten werden. Die vorgeschlagenen Hilfsstoffe weisen gegenüber den üblichen Mitteln (Fetten, Gelatine, Wachsen u. a.) außerdem den Vorteil auf, daß sie durch die Körperwärme nicht verflüssigt werden und dadurch an dem gewünschten Applikationsherd verbleiben; während bei -den bisherigen Hilfsmitteln durch die bald einsetzende Verflüssigung auch die angrenzenden Körperteile und die Wäsche beschmutzt werden. Kleinere Zusätze von Fetten und Wachsen als Bindemittel können Verwendung finden, ohne daß die Haltbarkeit der Präparate hierdurch gefährdet ist.
