Abstract

A pressure-sensitive adhesive plaster for releasing active substance into the environment of a support by evaporation consists of several layers and is characterised by a series of layers arranged as follows: (a) an active substance-impervious carrier layer that faces the skin and arranged thereon (b) an adhesive layer that faces the skin; and opposite the skin (c) one or several active substance reservoirs, and arranged thereon (d) an active substance-impervious protecting layer that is removed before the plaster is applied, allowing the active substance to be released into the environment; and (e) if required a covering layer that protects the adhesive layer prior to application.

Description

The invention relates to a self-adhesive plaster for Release of active ingredient by evaporation to the environment carrier.

The term "active ingredient" is meant to be the broadest Meaning all substances are understood to be in the vapor phase an effect as aerosols in the ambient air unfold the carrier of the patch or other organisms, for example, therapeutically or psychotherapeutically substances, odorants, bactericides, repellents, breathable, snuff-reducing substances etc. To remove fragrances or active ingredients directly from the skin ben, it is known to be solutions and especially alcoholic To apply solutions to the skin. Most of all, this is common in the field of perfumes etc. also become repellents applied to the skin in this form and evaporate from there into the ambient air.

The release directly from the skin surface to the reverse Exercise has the disadvantage that the skin is occasionally irritated may be exposed and allergic, with over this is the concentration of the active ingredients because of possible harmful effects on the skin can be relatively low got to.

Active substances that damage the skin are ruled out for one application completely out. On the other hand, it may be desirable certain substances may be of a relatively small size To give off surface very intensively to the environment. This applies, for example, to fragrances, and occasionally also to  Repellents, as well as for expectorant, breathable active ingredients and possibly also for insects killing agents and the like.

The invention is based on the aforementioned state of the Technology based on the task of a self-adhesive plaster to release active ingredient by evaporation to the environment to specify a carrier that has the disadvantages and technical Avoids the limits of the prior art and without excitation of skin irritation with a relatively small adhesive or Delivery area a sufficiently intensive delivery of active ingredient material to the immediate ambient atmosphere of the wearer enables.

The object is achieved by a structure of the Patch solved according to claim 1. So that will practically an "inverted dermal system" on the skin Applied as it is on the one hand as a membrane plaster, others the state of the art as a matrix plaster. Ver prevents the carrier layer, which is impermeable to the active ingredient on the skin-facing side a self-adhesive layer and one or more active ingredients on the side facing away from the skin reservoirs are associated with skin irritation. Other On the one hand, the active ingredient reservoir or reservoirs makes a very high load of active ingredient for a very intensive release. Due to separation of adhesive layer and Drug reservoir manages to have a relatively large effect Enter the amount of substance. It also includes the Ge freedom of design relatively unlimited.

Furthermore, plasters according to the invention, similar to the be Known membrane plasters, for controlled drug delivery be designed and also have a greater thickness and consequently absorb larger amounts of active ingredient.

The application of the patch is possible without any problems an active ingredient patch applied to the skin and the Protective layer is removed, after which the patch over long releases active substances to the environment.

Skin irritation or skin damage is avoided and the effect of repellents, perfumes, etc. remains full receive. In connection with perfumes and similar scents The properties of the patch can be used in the frame striking cosmetics, analogous to earlier beauty patches.

Beispielexample

The plaster according to the invention comprises, in the layer structure, a carrier film ( 1 ) with at least one adhesive layer ( 2 ) on the side facing the skin and with at least one or more reservoir layers ( 3 or 4 ) on the side facing away from the skin, in which there is an active ingredient-containing preparation which is initially covered with a protective layer ( 5 ) until application. Both the Trägerfo lie ( 1 ) and the protective layer ( 5 ) consist of a material impermeable to the active ingredient. A membrane ( 6 ) which controls the release of active substance can be arranged between a reservoir ( 3 or 4 ) and the protective layer ( 5 ). The adhesive layer ( 2 ) is initially covered with a protective film as a covering layer ( 7 ).

(4) aufliegende Steuermembran (6) zeitlich gesteuert. In use, the cover layer ( 7 ) is first removed from the adhesive layer ( 2 ) facing the skin and the plaster on the substrate, e.g. B. the skin applied. Subsequently, the protective film ( 5 ) is peeled off from the plaster, so that the reservoir layer ( 3 ) or ( 4 ) can release active ingredient to the surroundings of the substrate. In some cases, the dispensing is timed by a control membrane ( 6 ) resting on the reservoir layer ( 3 ) or ( 4 ).

Preferred active ingredients are those which have a sufficiently high vapor pressure so that they can penetrate the control membrane ( 6 ) in a targeted manner.
