Abstract

The idea of replacing the disc valve by a slide valve is as old as the internal combustion engine itself. The history of the engine has pages full of valve engines, and slide valve controls have of late gone into the background or have been entirely forgotten. There is a common reason for all this, namely a rapid wearing of sealing faces as a result of combustion residues and consequent leaking of the slide valve. It is precisely this disadvantage which I intend to overcome by rotatable sealing elements and cone slide valves and to bring out the disputed advantages of slide valve control. Simplified engine construction, improved utilisation of fuel because fewer parts are needed and no valve springs have to be depressed. The engine will have quieter and smoother running thanks to the absence of valve discs, which forcibly interrupt the flows of medium and strike into the valve seats. The possibility exists therefore of making the cylinder head and the housing in one, because no seating rings and valves have to be machined and fitted and as a result no cylinder head gasket is needed. An engine of this design can burn various fuels as required, for example all grades of petrol, diesel or gas, even with a low octane rating. The slide valve control in cone slide valve embodiment may be regarded as a contribution to environmental protection in which improved utilisation of energy expels fewer wastes into the air.

Description

The funnel slide is in the middle of the engine cylinder head ordered: the cylinder head combustion chamber surface has three openings, in the middle is the spark or glow plug opening and in the Combustion chamber area at certain points the inlet and outlet mentions. In addition to these openings, the entire combustion chamber area cooled by coolant in its cavities, like this at Valve cylinder head designs is the case. The outer wall this coolant chamber serves to slide the funnel slide and was worked out in spherical form. This funnel pusher sits flexibly on this surface and is stored in the center of the head. Through its opening in the jacket and the above openings in the combustion chamber surface controls the inlet and outlet of the Working medium. The funnel slide is driven like that Camshaft of valve engines.

This funnel slide is under a coat that also goes through its cavity for coolant and the hollow sphere Surface contributes significantly to heat dissipation.

Rotatable sealing body, installed outside, inside or on both sides in the inlet and outlet openings, provide the necessary Tightness during the work cycle. The only disadvantage of the slider I want control by rotating on a spherical surface Loosen sealing body.

The advantages of a valveless control can also be seen in the Call short. No glowing valve limits compression degree, the flow through supply channels improves by about 40% become a loss of performance compared to the valves Valve springs are no longer available. The speed limit is much higher, the engine run becomes a quiet and quiet have their course.

A higher degree of utilization of the fuel through the above Advantages is a contribution that is desired for our environment.

Claims (1)

Slider control for four-stroke engines and conveying pumps in the form of a funnel slide valve, characterized in that the funnel slide valve controls the flow of the working medium into and out of the working space by means of its rotation through openings (openings) in its wall. This funnel slide is installed in the cylinder head and can be cooled on both sides. Sealing can be done by rotating rings in the openings and also at suitable points in the drive direction.
