Bei diesem Doppelhalter ist man im Stande, den Druck, welcher dazu nöthig ist, den Halter gebrauchsfertig zu machen, an beiden Enden mit einer Hand auszuführen.With this double holder one is able to apply the pressure which is necessary for this to the holder ready for use, to be carried out with one hand at both ends.

Bei dem in Fig: 1 und 2 dargestellten Doppelhalter sind zum Festhalten des Bleies die üblichen Klemmbacken α α benutzt, welche beim Heraustreten aus der Hülse A bezw. A₁ aus einander gehen, das Blei beliebig weit vorfallen lassen und dasselbe sodann, durch die Feder d wieder zurückgedrückt, festhalten. Die oben und unten mit den Klemmbacken α versehene Bleiminenröhre b besteht aus einem Stück und hat, ebenso wie der ganze Halter, an beiden Enden die gleiche Einrichtung. Zwischen den die Bleiminenröhre b umgebenden Ringen c und C₁, von denen letzterer an ihr festsitzt, ist die Feder d eingeschaltet, welche mit dem oberen Ringe c gegen den Bund e der Hülse A (bezw. A₁) drückt und so die Hülsest in ihrer richtigen Lage festhält. Drückt man Hülse A oder A₁ einwärts, so wird Bleiminenröhre b entsprechend gehoben und Feder d zusammengeprefst, die Klauen α treten aus der Hülse A oder A₁ heraus und. gehen aus einander (Fig. 2), das Blei kann' somit vorfallen und wird durch die Klauen α auf bekannte Weise festgehalten. Die mit dem Mantel B verbundene Feder C dient nur dazu, eine schlotternde Bewegung des Mantels während des Schreibens zu verhindern. Die mit Mantel E und Hülse h fest verbundene Feder C verhindert ein unabsichtliches Verschieben der Röhre b nebst Hülse h in der Richtung der Längsachse.
