Die einzustellende Trocknungsdauer erfordert aber bei der Bedienungsperson einen gewissen Kenntnisstand von Erfahrungswerten, die aber erst im Laufe der Zeit erworben werden. Da die Dauer eines Trocknungsvorganges von vielen Parametern, wie Wäschemenge, Wäscheart, Wäschezusammensetzung, Entfeuchtung, gewähltes Trocknungsziel, gewählte Heizleistung usw. abhängt, ist die Abschätzung der Trocknungsdauer für einen Wäscheposten sehr schwierig und damit oftmals ungenau.There are tumble dryers for household use, with a so-called start times are equipped. Die Festlegung des Wäschetrocknungsvorgangendes auf einen bestimmten Zeitpunkt hat nun den Vorteil, daß der für den Trocknungsvorgang zur Verfügung stehende Zeitraum optimal genützt werden kann, d. h. daß beispielsweise die Heizleistung, Luftmenge oder Wäschetrommelbewegung in Abhängigkeit von der zur Verfügung stehenden Trocknungszeit vom Microprozessor so berechnet und vorgegeben wird, daß ein optimaler Energieverbrauch sowie optimalste Wäscheschonung usw. erreicht wird. So wird beispielsweise bei einer verfügbaren Trocknungszeit von 4 Stunden der Trocknungsvorgang mit einer Heizleistung von 2000 Watt begonnen. Die fortschreitende Entfeuchtung der Wäsche wird dabei laufend mit Hilfe der üblichen elektronischen Meßverfahren (Leitwertmessung, Messung der elektrostatischen Aufladung der Wäsche, Temperaturdifferenzmessung) erfaßt und die Meßdaten dem Microprozessor zugeführt. Aus der von diesem ermittelten Trocknungsgeschwindigkeit und dem von der Bedienungsperson vorgewählten bzw. vorgegebenen Trocknungsziel (Wäsche schranktrocken, bügelfeucht oder mangelfeucht) ist es nun möglich, eventuell auch unter Zugrundelegung eines empirisch ermittelten gerätetypischen Trocknungsverlaufs, zunächst die voraussichtliche Trocknungsdauer u. damit Trocknungsendzeit zu errechnen. Aus der Differenz zwischen der errechneten Trocknungsendzeit und der zur Verfügung stehenden Trocknungszeit (hier vier Stunden) wird dann das Steuersignal für eine höhere oder eine niedrigere Heizleistung abgeleitet und entsprechende Schaltmaßnahmen veranlaßt. Errechnung der voraussichtlichen Trocknungsendzeit wird zweckmäßig die Entfeuchtung der Wäsche als Funktion der Zeit oder der Temperaturverlauf der die Wäschetrommel verlassenden Abluft über die Zeit oder die Temperaturdifferenzänderung zwischen Trommeleintritts- oder Trommelaustrittstemperatur oder die Dämpfung eines Hochfrequenzsignals als Funktion der Zeit oder die Kombination mehrerer dieser Maßnahmen zugrundegelegt. Die Differenz zwischen verfügbarer Trocknungszeit und voraussichtlicher Trocknungsdauer, die durch die jeweilige Parametereinstellung bestimmt ist, wird zweckmäßig laufend ermittelt.
