Abstract
Description
In application P 40 28 904.4-43 there is a process for cleavage of cooling lubricants and other emulsions. According to the procedure described there is the one to be treated Liquid first saturated with carbon dioxide and then heated.
With the method described here, the treatment step of heating the carbon dioxide treatment. At Part of the splitting results can also be good of the carbon dioxide to be used can be saved. This is according to the invention possible in that the emulsion to be split only about as much carbon dioxide must be added as for Cleavage is required. In contrast, in the procedure the above application mentioned quite high, with many emulsions uselessly high, carbon dioxide wasting final pressure in the gap container generated.
Furthermore, a recycling process was used in the mentioned application suggested. This involves the splitting with carbon dioxide Corresponding organic acid arising from the surfactant after phase separation and purification by a base again in the Formed surfactant, which stabilizes the emulsion again becomes.
In the procedure proposed here, the addition no other chemicals whatsoever. This is from the following Reasons possible: Under the gap conditions using Carbon dioxide has a pH up to 3.3, which makes the carbonic acid as now stronger acid can displace the surfactant from its salt. It the conjugated organic acid of Tensides, as well as bicarbonate. After the emulsion under this pH condition and broken under elevated temperature is allowed relax the system. In the relaxed state, the pH increases the carbonic acid back to its "normal value", so that vice versa the organic acid is now more acidic than carbonic acid and therefore these again from their salt - namely the bicarbonate - distributes. Accordingly, the original surfactant is created again and carbonic acid. Because the carbon dioxide in the form of the escaping Carbon dioxide completely out with stirring and heating so the process is running again completely to the original starting point, namely a surfactant-stabilized emulsion.
