Anpassung an die Körperform ist heute ein Bestandteil der Austattung vieler Fahrzeugtypen. Ein oder mehrere Elektromotoren 1 sind dafür in den Vordersitz 2 integriert. Sie werden von einer Steuereinheit 3 gesteuert, welche auch die Daten aus einem Sensor 4 bearbeitet.
