Der Grundkörper kann aus Papier oder Pappe oder auch aus einer kompostierbaren Folie bestehen. Das saugfähige Material kann in dem Grundkörper enthalten oder als Schicht auf diesem aufgebracht sein, wobei die Schicht mit dem Grundkörper verklebt oder verleimt und der Kleber oder Leim luftdurchlässig und kompostierbar ist.
