Die bodenlose Ummantelung des Pflanzgefäßsystems kann nach den jeweiligen Gestaltungsansprüchen aus Kunst- bzw. Naturstein, Kunststoff, Holz oder Metall gefertigt werden. Die Wandstärke beträgt je nach Material bis ca. 10 cm. Erreicht dieser die Marke 0, wird das Wasserreservoir erneut über die Anzeigerkammer bzw. über das Substrat gefüllt.
